No sound on certain apps why?

I have to keep switching the mute button back and forth on my 4s to get sound on certain apps why? Oh and I Haaaate spellcheck!

I too am having this issue. I did notice that if I use my headphones the sound will play on the apps. I checked the main volume buttons on the side, I checked the volume on the app itself, I made sure the headphone port is clear of debris and to no avail.

You can enable keyboard sounds via Settings > General > Sounds . If they are enabled but you can't hear them then have you checked that you haven't got notifications muted (which will also affect most apps) ?
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. No sound on certain apps

I seem to have no sound on certain games such as Bubblewrap, Papertoss, and Doodlejump. Other apps seem to be fine.
I have checked to ensure that the sound is on on all these apps, but nothing happens. Music plays fine, and certain apps have sound. I have only been having this problem since I downloaded the most recent software. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this?

My ipad lost its audio, on certain apps only

Yes, I would try what Chris91FTW suggested. Some apps are programmed to take advantage of the mute switch on the iPad, so if you have the iPad muted, you don't accidentally play sounds when you are in a meeting, etc.
If the switch is lit orange dot, then you are silenced. Move the switch to the un-muted position to play sounds from all apps, and return to the orange dot when you want sounds silenced.

If you quit the app and restart it, the sound will return.
To truly quit an app :
Press the home button to leave the app.
Double click the home button, this will reveal your recent apps,
The last one you used will be on the left. Press and hold the app's icon
And a 'x' will appear at the corner of the icon. Press the x and the app
Will quit.
Click the home button again, then restart the app in question.
Your sound should now be working.
I don't know why the sound stops, this happens to me on all my

If you see a dialog telling you the app is not avaiable, then it's not available.
And keep in mind, your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.

This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

Apps are tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase them and you will always need to use that ID and password in order to update them.
Saying that you do get to update them on your new details makes no sense at all.

Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
IDT Audio Installer - Windows 7.
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu. Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter. Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete. Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices. Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

Why are certain apps not restoring to iPad after restore from backup. Are these apps gone and more importantly the data if they are not on my iTunes ?? Please say I can get them back

Recently restored iPad 2 to factory settings. Prior to this did a back up unfortunately when restoring my back up certain apps did not restore and are not on my iTunes. I really needed the app data I know I can re-download the apps but the data was all my work and it's not on my back up files help!!!!

thanks but it seems that when i did my backup it didnt save those apps so i have lost their content. ot may also be due to an update of my itunes as previous backups are also missing

Why is the lower part of my iPhone screen unresponsive (certain apps only)?

I have an iPhone 3GS, just updated it to iOS 6 last week.
It has been working fine, but since yesterday the lower 1/10th of the screen (where the send button is for SMS, space bar and other key items) is unresponsive in certain apps.
For example, I can swipe to unlock the phone from the locked state and generally use the lower 1/10th of the screen, but when I try to use this area in Messages, Camera, emails and other key apps the lower 1/10th of the screen is unresponsive. Nothing happens when I click action items. In some apps (messages) it is only the lower left corner that doesn't work.
Has anyone had app specific unresponsiveness from their iPhone screen?
I restored the phone last night to no avail.

Why can't I disable certain apps from using cellular data?

(iPhone 4 on iOS 7.0.4)
I can't seem to turn off the ability for certain apps to use my cellular in the "Cellular" menu. I would usually to go Settings>Cellular and begin turning on/off app from using cellular. But now, I can't turn them off. I would switch them off and turn off cellular, then I would turn the "cellular" option on and the same apps would have their switches on instead of off. They would switch on automatically without my consent.
Before you say that maybe I have "allow changes" or "don't allow changes" on the cellular data use. Even if I had one or the other, the manual changes gets ignored.
I have to have the "cellular restriction use" to allow changes to try to turn off the individual apps that have cellular data on. But the second I leave the sub menu or turn off and then on the cellular data, those same individual apps switch on by them selves.
What am I missing? What is the new changes that isn't allowing me to decided which apps can use cellular data and which can't?
My only guess is that it's a problem based on 7.0.4. I never had this problem before. Sometimes though, I would have "Don't Allow Changes" locked on cellular usage, but some how manage to have the ability to turn them on and off where I shoulded. They should be "greyed" out.

You will have to download the App to iTunes on a computer or another device that does support the App using the same Apple Id you have on your iPad. With that done you can follow these instructions from your iPad to get a compatible version:

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
