No sound on hp pavillion ze 4800 oct windows 7

laptop hp pavillion ze 4800 windows 7 ultimate
My hp pavillion ze 4800 has not sound  with windows 7 ultimate, I know that HP support  service does not include drivers for windows 7 on this product only for windows xp. Nevertheless this Laptop has enough resources to run a windows 7 operating system except for the video card, but it's not much important for I use it to make common task only, moreover microsoft stopped supporting windows xp and  if this Hp can take a windows 7 So why to make it useless.
I AM SORRY ABOUT THESE LONG LINES
I need your help with the audio driver for my laptop running windows seven.

Anytime.
Glad to have been of assistance.
You should also install or update the Adobe Flash Player too.
Uncheck the optional offers (unless for some reason you want them).
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
The other problem might be that the graphics adapter may not have the driver installed because I don't think any of the ones supported by the XP driver are capable of running Windows 7.
You can try the XP graphics driver by manually installing that one.
To do that, you would run the following driver and close out of any error windows.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=hb-21505-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
The go to the device manager and click to expand the Display Adapters category.
If the graphics driver is not installed, you will see a device labeled Standard VGA Adapter.
Click on that, and then click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software method and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp27665.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.
Then reboot.

  • No Sound/Audio on Pavillion 23-p142

I recently purchased my computer HP Pavillion 23-p142 with Windows 8.1 64bit on July 9, 2015 and everything was golden...couldn't be happier with it for my needs. Now, in just the last few days, the sound doesn't work at all. No sound from Windows Media Player, Youtube etc. Absolutley nothing. Not even system sounds. I've tried troubleshooting tips such as going into Computer Management> Services> Windows Audio and restarting that service...still no luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Realtek HD Audio drivers several times and it worked on the very first attempt then the sound went away again after a few hours. I'm at a loss for what to try next...Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Some sound works and some doesn't? That seems really strange to me!
Did this just start happening? If so try using System Restore to restore a previous restore point from before this became an issue.
Could it be that some applications are muted in the Volume Mixer? Open a program that's supposed to have sound but doesn't. With it open, left-click on the volume button in the notification area and select "Mixer." Make sure it's bar isn't muted.
You could also try reinstalling the driver.

  • Satellite L655 - Sound not working on fresh install of Windows 7 Pro x64

    Howdy all,
I purchased an L655-S5111 from Newegg that was on sale, put an SSD into it, and then installed a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit I received from my current employer (I'm an IT guy). I've updated to the latest BIOS revision (1.70), and I've got all Windows updates installed, all drivers installed, including the correct Conexant HD Audio and ATI HDMI Audio drivers. Unfortunately, sound does not work. Sound worked briefly when I first installed Windows 7, then I muted it until I could get it set up with headphones. When I unmuted it, it had ceased to work.
This laptop is less than 3 weeks old at this point, and I get no audio over headphones or speakers, although Windows clearly shows no issues with the drivers, they're the latest version, on a fresh install, and I can see the audio in the mixer playing. The microphone built-in to the laptop does pick up sound as well. I believe that this is most likely not an issue of physical interconnection, but more likely a software level issue, I'm just having trouble identifying where it is at.
I also have no related error messages anywhere in the event logs.

I have two problems with installing the recovery image:
    1) I didn't get a copy of the recovery media with the system
    2) The recovery media would install Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit which is what came with the laptop.
Since I have legitimately licensed copies of Windows 7 Pro/Enterprise 64-bit, I would much rather install that. Since I used the drivers and software from the Toshiba website for this particular model, it should be working. There should be no functional difference between the recovery media and a fresh Windows install from the Microsoft-provided Windows media and Toshiba provided drivers from their website.
As you can see in the sysinfo (I'm assuming Keany the respondent is the admin that approved my post and edited it, thus had access to the data which was removed) I have all the Toshiba software and drivers installed, identically to if this was the recovery image, I just have it on a different edition of Windows 7.
I'm open to any other suggestions, but unfortunately it is not possible to do the above.

I found the driver at the above link.  I installed the driver, disabled my graphics card and rebooted.  The touchscreen worked.  Then I enabled the graphics card.  So far so good.  Hope I dont have to do this routine too often.
    Good luck with it.

    Hi:
Use the W7 x64 drivers and software from this model which has the same motherboard and graphics card as yours.
Do not use any BIOS or firmware files from this model on yours.

  • Sound is very quiet in bootcamp on windows 7 but fine in osx

the audio/speakers sound great in osx, but after putting windows 7 on here through bootcamp, the audio is like half the volume it should be from the speakers. works perfect with headphones tho, so it has to be something to do with the speakers. any ideas?

you have to install Cirrus audio driver - Apple doesn't provide one.

    Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
    Problem: Smart Hard Disk Error
    Disk Name: WDC WD3200BEKT-60V5T1
How do I fix this error?

    Hi,
If you're starting to get Smart warnings, it's probably best to think about replacing the Hard Drive - at the very least, make sure you have a current back-up of all your personal files etc in case the drive fails suddenly.
If you'd like a guide on replacing the Hard Drive, please post back with the full Model No. and Product No. of the notebook ( from the service tag underneath your notebook ) - see Here for a further explanation.

  • Intermittent Sound Issues - HP Pavillion dv6700 Entertainment Laptop

    Hi,
I have a HP Pavillion dv6700 Entertainment Laptop running Windows Vista 32bit Home Premium and have been running into some strange sound issues first.
First, on occassion when I start my laptop I will get a "No Audio Output Device Installed" Message, and no sound controllers show up in the device manager.  Strangely, sometimes if I restart the laptop or put it into hibernation and bring it back, the output device will again work.
Also, when it is working I am experiencing other strange issues.  Often, sound will work only through headphones, and not through the built in Altec Lansing speakers.  Other times, even with the headphones plugged in, I only get sound through the speakers.  And sometimes, no sound through either, even though the computer at this point is showing a working audio device.
Lastly, when the sound does work through the speakers, it is normally crackling and distorted - it doesn't sound right at all.
The sound device installed on the computer is Contextant Smart Audio 221 (At least when it chooses to be working...)
I hope there is a solution to this problem, thank you very much for any support!

I also have a HP Pavillion laptop, with Windows Vista..  I am having sound issues, but not the same ones..  mine often displays the volume bar on the screen, clicking like I'm turning it up or down.. I can't get it to stop or go away.. I usually have to reboot and most of the time it stops, until the next time I open the laptop.  Also, when it's not doing this, I can't control my volume from the touch pad volume control at the top of my keyboard.  I thought maybe it was just damaged because it seems to have some scratches in that area where the top connects when closed, but I didn't think it made sense that rebooting will stop this, even temporarily.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, however, one driver didn't come back.. it actually seemed to be better at first, but now I have to reboot it almost everytime I open it.  I thought if I didn't leave it in hibernation, just turn it off, while not using it, that would help, it didn't.  I have also tried updating the drivers and they are updated.. If anyone knows what else I can do, please help, it's terribly annoying, plus I have a lot of music on it, I'd like to listen to it sometime.

  • Sound Driver - HP Pavillion Zd8290ea

    Hi all,
I am really struggling as I have somehow managed to get rid of the sound on my laptop and am assuming it is a driver issue.
If I click on the speaker at the bottom of my screen it says "The Audio Service is not Running"
I have upgraded to Vista Home (32 Bit).
Microsoft update doesn't rectify the problem unfortunately, as wont install update, says failed and have followed their instructions to no avail.
I am not that technical so any input would be fantasic and greatly appriciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi:
According to the product specs for your PC if it does not have an add on sound card, it has the onboard Realtek HD audio.
You can try the latest audio driver from Realtek and see if that resolves the problem for you.
Accept the agreement, download and install the second file on the list.

hello.  last night had sound when playing a dvd and then sound on video and typing program this morning.

    any assistance would be appreciated!!

    Hi,
Do you have a specific product or model number to share, that would help in providing better help.
In general, I'd start with the document below to help resolve sound problems in Windows XP:

If that doesn't work, let us know the model number of your pc, and any specific results from the troubleshooting in the document.

  • After bios update sound is going to headset. can't get sound to speakers - Pavillion dv7-6c67nr

windows-7 64 bit. Installed BIOS update from HP Support Assistant, No sound from laptop speakers. Clinked on speaker icon, showed sound going to the headphones and not speakers. No luck changing. No headphones ever

    Hi kcperry,
I had similar issues and suggest that you might try going directly to the HP driver web site for your system at  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=5218614&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us , enter in your operating system and then reinstall the BIOS.
I, too, lost sound to my speakers and Beats Audio didn't work when HP did automatic updates to my BIOS and then my audio driver.  Turns out that the audio driver that HP downloaded was for my system but not my operating system (I have Windows7, but got the driver for Windows8) - I also suspect that the BIOS update was not for my os, because when I installed the correct version of the audio driver for my system/os, my system asked if it installed correctly due to an os conflict, also my system also became very slow.
--> In the end, I installed the BIOS update and then reinstalled the audio driver making certain the downloads were for my system and my operating system  --  and now all is working fine !!!
Another thing I noticed is when I use HP’s ‘scan for solutions and updates’ on their website, it says I need to update my video driver.  The video driver it lists is the one for Window8, not windows7!!
Hope this works for you.  If it does, please post that it worked for you and click on the solved button for others who are looking for solutions.  I suspect there are a lot of users out there that have or will be experiencing the same issue.
