Can you use midi sounds when recording videos on Photobooth?
Basically, i like to record videos of me singing and playing guitar or keyboard, but to get a good sound for the keyboard I'd like to be able to record the audio using MIDI sounds...
Ive got Logic, I've got M-Audio Fast Track Pro, into which i have my mic, guitar, and keyboard midi plaugged into. I can use it to record the mic and guitar on photobooth as they are audio inputs, however i can't use the midi sounds on the keyboard :/ I have tried having logic open with the desired MIDI sound selected whilst recording but it doesnt work...
Is there ANY way this is possible?
    HELP PLEASE!
    Thanks!

I Have just the same problem, if I shout very near the microphone i can just hear something, did you manage to solve the problem?

  • No sound when recording videos with iphone 4s - ios7

Since I have downloaded ios7 to my iphone 4s I am no longer getting any sounds when recording videos. When looking back at past videos I have recorded, they still have sound in the playback. I have tried resetting my phone and reseting it to factory settings. Any recommendations?

    Hey Bryan3939!
If I'm reading this correctly, it sounds like you might be experiencing an issue with your microphone recording during videos. I have an article for you that can help you troubleshoot this issue:

  • No sound when recording videos iphone4

    Hello,
When i record videos with my Iphone 4 there is no sound when i read them and, when i try to use the speaker during calls my correspondants don't hear me.
    Any clue about this ?
    Thanks

    Hello Kboum,
It sounds like the microphone on your phone is not functioning correctly in either the Camera app or the Phone app. I recommend the troubleshooting for it in the article named:
    iPhone: Microphone issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5183
Make sure nothing is plugged in to the jack connector.
Make sure nothing is blocking any of the microphones (see the pictures below to locate the microphones on your device)
Make sure none of the microphones is obstructed by dirt or debris.
Turn the iPhone off and then on.
Make sure that the latest version of iOS is installed.
If necessary, find general iPhone hardware troubleshooting suggestions.

  • No sound when recording videos 4S

Just got my 4S today and have found that every time I record a video it doesn't record the sound. There is a sound on playback, like a crackling or like a old projector noise. Has anyone else had this?
I can use Siri, I can play youtube videos back but I just can't get sounds to record with my video.

I rung apple and they are sending me out a replacement. I must say I was very impressed with the customer service. I was on the phone for less than five minutes (would have been quicker if I could remember my phone number!) and I received an email saying they will be sending me the replacement quicker than they told me on the phone.

  • No sound while recording videos

Side note: I am not familiar with Windows 7 or 8. I am a novice with Windows programs, but I am pretty handy at locating the necessary information and programs needed to complete Tier 1 troubleshooting. Forgive me if I have used the incorrect verbiage.
I have a HP Charcoal Gray 15.6" 2000-bf69WM notebook that is running Windows 8, AMD E-300 EPU HD Graphics 1.30 GHz, 4.00 usable gigs, 64 -bit and I cannot get the pre-installed camera application to record sound. The notebook is running the original software loaded by HP with the exception of MS Word.  I am able to successfully record HD videos minus the audio/sound. I have checked the drivers, device manager, hardware settings, ensured that the default IDT Hi-def audio (speakers and headphones) are set to default under the playback tab (only other option available is communications headphones). The device manager does not indicate that any issues with any component.
Under the recording tab there are external mic (not selected), internal mic (selected as default) and stereo mx (indicates it is set to ready). All the test ran produce ample sound under the sound tab and the recording tab. I have since completed a few sound/audio checks and I have noticed an annoying new development. Each key stroke and movement on and within inches of the notebook emits a shallow echo. I realize that the outer edge of the monitor is a speaker and as I run my hand over and around the outer edge of the notebook, I can hear the muffled sounds you would hear if you ran your hand over a microphone. The only way to get this to stop is to mute the volume completely.
Side note, when I access the pre-installed Cyber Link YouCam, I am able to record videos and playback the clips which include the sound. Should this issue be isolated to the pre-installed camera program, how would I go about uninstalling/removing that and reinstalling it?
I would truly welcome any assistance with this concern. Should more details be required with regards to my system, I am obliged to provide them.
    Thank you.

  • No sound when recording videos

    Hi,
I m facing problem with my lumia 820, it's not recording sound with videos. When video is played, it gives buzzing sound. Its similar for any App which uses MIC for sound recording....
    Any help.

Hi, TejinderPS. Did something happen to your Lumia 820 before this audio issue came up? Do you also experience the same thing during calls? Are you being heard by the person you're speaking with?
If your phone has a body cover that might block the microphone, try removing it and see if the you'll be able to record videos with clear audio quality. You can also try rebooting your phone by simultaneously pressing and holding the volume down and power keys until it vibrates and restarts.
Let us know how it will go. BTW, congratulations on your first post!

  • Clicking sound when recording Video

When I record video, a clicking/whirring noise made by the camera is recorded on the video. I'm thinking it's the autofocus, or zoom (although it seems to make the noise even if I am not using the zoom.)Any ideas on what is causing this or how to get rid of it?Thanks!

I guess I needed to post that I have an SX50 (I thought for some reason this was an SX50 forum)..and there are no error messages, everything seems to be working fine. It seems the "mechanics" of the camera are being recorded on any video I take.I was hoping to post a video, but I don't seem to be able to do that. Thanks! If I understand you correctly, you maybe picking up auto focus/IS noise from your internal mic every time you record a video.  I had a Canon SX50 before I got my Canon SX60 and I was annoyed by that clicking sound in my video's, if that's what it is.  The SX50 does'nt have an external mic jack to solve this issue.  That's why I sold mine and got my Canon SX60.  It has an external mic jack that I use to connect an external mic to (among other upgrades)  You can attach an external mic onto the hotshoe plate on the SX60.   There maybe a workaround for an external mic for your SX50, but you'll have to ask around here on site, or goggle it. BTW...this is a Canon Site for all Canon Cameras and gear.  But does'nt have a catogory just for the SX50.  But you're in the right place, powershot posts.

  • Has anyone experienced no sound when recording video on iPhone 4/4s?

THIS IS ACTUALLY A SOLUTION. My wife has an (ancient) iPhone 4. Yesterday she downloaded latest iOS her phone will accept -- 7.x. All of a sudden she had no audio on her video recordings nor with Facetime (she could hear the other end, but they couldn't hear her). Scoured the net and saw many "solutions" -- shut down and reboot; clean small mic next to headphone jack with a needle; etc. Nothing worked. And then I came across an obscure post from 2010. Here's what fixed the problem: (1) While completely covering (as in letting in no sound) the above-mentioned tiny mic next to headphone jack on top with your finger, make a video recording; then (2) While completely covering the mic on bottom to the left of USB port with your finger, make a video recording. Now try to make a video as normal. For me, bam...problem solved. Maybe making the two recordings while covering the mics somehow recalibrated the system? Who knows. Hope this helps.

I was really bummed when this happened to me. I've only had my iphone for a month. I JUST figured out what was wrong. Apparently the video sound is a separate function from the iphone's volume. So, all I did was play a video and while it was playing, turned the volume up using the plus button on the side of the phone. If you do this when you're not playing a video it will only affect the iphone's volume and not the video's. Hope this helps!

  • Is there a way to recover sound from recorded video?

I went to a concert a few days ago and recorded some videos to find out the next day that the sound wasn't recorded. I tried making another video and the mic works fine. The speakers and mic you talk into work fine too. So is there any way to recover the audio part of the video?

not likely if a finger was blocking the mic or the likes then no audio was ever added to the video

  • Problem Recording Sound when Recording Video with iSight

I am trying to make a short movie using iMovie '08 (ver. 7.1.4) with my built-in iSight camera and built-in mic on my iMac (2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo). I want to post this short movie in my MobileMe gallery.
I am able to record and view the video (event) using the iSight camera. However, I cannot get the movie (as I record the video) to pick up any sound.
The mic appears to be working okay: when I click on the microphone icon in iMovie, a "VOICEOVER" window appears. In this window, the "Record From" box shows "Built-in Microphone" selected and the Left/Right bars below shows green increasing/decreasing as I speak.
Nevertheless, I cannot get iMovie to record any sound. Obviously, I am missing some setting or process. Would someone kindly give me a little direction here? Thank you, Dale

The mic wasn't selected in the System Preferences. In the Sound pane, the "Line In" had been selected. Instead, the "Internal microphone" should have been selected. When I made this change, the mic worked fine. Dale

  • Sound for recording video and audio not working

I have tried everything to get the sound to work.  I have reinstalled the audio driver.  When I go to soundrecording.exe to see if I can record sound it gives me a message "An audio recording device cannot be found."  Please help this is driving me crazy.

well, since people can hear you on a call, it's not a hardware problem with the microphone.
It appears to be something wrong with your recording apps -- the camera (in the case of video) and whatsapp.
    First attempt would be to:
    a) install another camera app with video capability and see if IT will record audio. and
    b) uninstall and reinstall whatsapp to see if that fixes the problem.
If that doesn't work, to a backup, then try a hard reset and re-install the apps one by one, confirming that recording works after each install.

  • Sound on recorded videos not working on PC

I've created a couple of videos on my ipod that i would like to play on my PC. I enabled for disk use, but I when i go to the DCIM folder, and then my videos folder "000APPLE" it shows the mp4 files and a corresponding DAT file (which I'm assuming has the information for the sound). When I run the mp4 with Quicktime, there is no sound on my computer...do I have to compile the two files together or something?

My first thought on this one is that you should do two things:
1- Make sure you are running the latest updates for your operating system
2 - Reinstall quicktime if #1 does not change anything.
Here is how to reinstall quicktime:

  • No audio sound while recording video from Iphone4

I have tried everything to solve this problem, upgrade, downgrade, restore, every possible way to fix if its a software problem, A month ago it was working just fine, but now when i upgraded my phone to IOS 6, IOS 6 was taking too much of my battery so i decided to downgrade my phone, when i downgraded my phone, the problem came up and since then i have been trying everything to clear this issue up, even the most popular needle method, it didnt work for me, i still here the hissing noise when i record a video.
Is there someone who has fixed this issue without the needle or software upgrades and downgrades ?
Voice recording works fine as in voice memo's. In call voice all works fine, i guess the other mic at the bottom of my phone works fine. its about the top mic.

take a look at this easiest way to fix it.
