No sound on unlock

For some reason my iPhone 5 stopped making sound when unlocked or locked. I have checked the sound effects volume, alerts, do not disturb, and other "obvious" settings. Multiple hard resets have not cured the porblem, nor has manually closing all open apps.
On a potentially related note -- the other day my tones reverted to default sounds and the battery indicator -- which I have set to show the actual percent -- went reset to default as well.
iOS is up to date 6.1.4

I imagine that... a limit of sound because ears problems understand that...but in my case i need power i´m not buying a better surround for the gym (the owner must do, but everyone use cd´s and i not see me record cd´s again) ...its the only problem for this iPod to be perfect.... Using iPad 2 - if i use the slide switch to lock rotation, i cannot unlock rotation, unless i use it to mute sounds. i can't therefore have unmuted sounds and unlocked rotation at the same time??

Uh .... Yes you can. You just have to understand how the whole thing works.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

A strange peeb sound when unlock the screen!!

Hi all,
Recently I have been gfacing some problems with my Z1 phone. I purchased 5 months ago.
1- Sometimes when I unlock the screen I got a strange peeb sound which last for few seconds. I got this 2-3 time a week!! and lately i got the same sound when I lock the screen!!
2-Yesterday when I tried to start camera I got black screen!! I tried to reopen the camera app sevral times but same problem. When I restarted the phone the camera app opened successfully. Why this happend?
3- Lately when I recive a call and try to answer it by sliding the screen, the screen hangs and stuck there fror 5-10 seconds!!! and the call keeps ringing, it really annoying!!!
In general i got no problem in other apps and phone features its only the Camera app, when reciving a call and when locking/unlocking the screen..... Any advice I will appreciated?

Iphone is playing all sounds/music backwards!

My iphone 3GS has been acting very strange today. It was running very slow and laggy earlier but that has seemed to go away. The strangest thing is that now all sounds from unlocking the screen to music is playing in reverse. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Hard to believe but... try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Ipod Touch still makes sound if sound is off

I have a new ipod touch 5, ios6.1.3.
When I use the buttons or the slider to make the sound go all the way to the bottom, it still makes a slight sound when unlocking and locking. I've already looked it up, only one person had this problem and it was because siri cannot completely go turn off.

Did you go to Settings>Sounds and turn lock sounds OFF?

Lumia 720 missing sound

I got a new 720 a month ago. Had one before, but it went completely dead and after 2 weeks in repair they just gave me a new one.
Yesterday this one suddenly lost most sounds. No button sounds, no unlocking sound, no shutter sound, no music from the loudspeaker (works fine through the 3,5mm jack though). Only way to hear the caller speaking is putting the call to the speaker. Alarm clock, message alerts and ringtones work (but not if you try to listen to them at sound settings).
I'm quite frustrated and baffled. The phone hasn't suffered any kinds of damage, it just went partially mute. Oh, and soft reset didn't help, neither did trying to update.

Use siri in lockscreen, Loud sound

After i'm using siri in lockscreen, The volume sound to unlock the iPhone 4s is very loud.
Is that normal? or am i'm the only one?

It hasn't been corrected for me. It's been going on for months and I am running 5.1.1 and so is my husband The mic (speech to text) makes all alert sounds LOUD while the sound is playing, sometimes continues even if you kick out of the mic. It's awful.
My husband's behaves slightly differently. His is rather random - it didn't get louder when turning the mic ON but then got louder when he turned it OFF... and then he hit the 'back/delete' button the keyboard, it totally shut off the sound entirely.

TS3274 iPad only sound in headphones

My iPad only gets sound in headphones. When a song is playing the volume slider bar doesn't appear until you plug in headphones and then it appears. It also doesn't show the speaker symbol if you press the up/down volume keys, but shows he alarm (bell) symbol. The keyboard sometimes makes sounds when unlocking but not always. Help !

Yes I've tried that along with a reset. The funny thing is that without the headphones plugged in there is no volume slider, then magically plug in the phones and there is the volume slider but couldn't fool it by pausing and removing phones. Have also tried repeatedly removing headphones and can't see any damage to dock.

im wake up this morning and find out that my ipod got boot loop, it's stuck in apple logo. i try to connect it to itunes and reset it. its work, i can hear charging sounds, and unlock sounds. and also im trying to test camera and seems it worked (i can hear camera sounds) and after taking 1 picture, the camera show up but with these stripes, but i cant access picture library. but when im looking at the screen, i just see black screen with dim white stripes in the middle. i was thinking if my screen just broke or something. but the apple logo appear good without any scratch or stripes.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why is the cursor uncontrollable when syncing devices in iTunes?

When syncing any device with iTunes, the cursor will not pinpoint what you want.

Yes I do manually manage my music through Itunes and on my IPhone. Do you recommend I use the sync option in future to avoid this happening again?
Both myself and my other half have the IPhone 3Gs and when we are using our home wifi it seems to drop connection with the router and resort to 3G. This happens fairly regularly now and our wireless is rock solid, it is used for downloading large amounts and a lot of online gaming. We have never had a problem with our wifi for laptops and the PS3s.
The sound on my phone will just stop working, I can unlock after even a few minutes and the key sounds and unlock sound will not be there, I open the ipod and nothing, no sound through the phone speaker or through a cable to my amp and not even to headphones. A reboot usually corrects this but last time I locked the phone and the next morning it was working fine.
I guess I could be doing something wrong or maybe just being picky, its such an awseome device and I want to get the most from it all of the time.

2.0 Software Problems (1st Gen)

So I have a 1st gen iPhone with the 2.0 update on it. I wanted to write some issues that I have been having and was wondering if people were having the same problems:
1. When I receive a text, I hear the sound but no text populates. I sometimes have to wait for another text for that previous text to populate
2. When I want to respond to a text or write a text, sometimes the keyboard does not show up and I have to shut off my phone and turn it back on.
3. If you add an additional global keyboard it toggles automatically sometimes and you cannot properly switch it back to English. I speak English, Greek and Japanese and gets frustrating when I can't switch properly from English<-->Japanese.
4. I load up Safari and it immediately crashes sometimes.
5. When I am listening to music on my iPhone and I receive a call, the audio skips as it fades now where as it never did that before. I also have less music on it than I did before.
6. clickign the SMS button takes like 5 or 6 seconds for the program to load.
Anyone else having any of these problems? I've never once dropped this phone and it was working perfectly before 2.0 with maybe a Safari crash once in a while.

Yup, not excactly all those specific problems. But the sms app does load much slower, keyboard lags when typing, sometimes even when there is full signal it gets an error trying to send the message.
Overall performance is not very good, in fact I would say it is quite poor now. Programs hang, crash, and are slow to boot up. Sometimes my sounds when unlocking/putting to sleep just randomly stop working, then randomly come back. I even took off all the apps I had gotten, restored it and just went with default apps. Same stuff, poor performance, its the 2.0 software. Very dissappointed, hope there is an update soon. Unless anyone knows how to go back to 1.1.4. 2.0 is bringing back bad memories of windows modile right now.
Note - something is wrong with apple's forums too, I'm getting all kinds of errors and it is lagging horribly.

I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I see you are having problems with your Ipod Touch, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.
If you have turned on "Find My Ipod" recently, then you could find it via ICloud. http://www.icloud.com
Sign in, click on "Find My Iphone"
Click on devices
Click on the name of the device (Examples: Ipod Touch,Mary`s Ipod Touch)
Put it in "Lost Mode" and make sure you also put it in "Erase Ipod" as that will ersase everything so they cant see your personal info.
You could also put it in "Play Sound" mode to make it play a sound until unlocked.
**NOTE:** THE IPOD HAS TO BE CONNECTED TO WIFI IN ORDER TO SEE WHERE IT IS!!

Iphone 4s speaker stopped working

I bought an iphone 4s 2 months ago, everything worked fine with iOS 5.1 until today the speakers suddenly stopped working when i was playing video. Since then my phone has no sound at all, the application, video, music, ringtone, keyboard, lock screen EVERYTHING (the headphone still works properly). I checked the soundbar and setting and found nothing wrong. So i tried to restore my phone to the factory setting and then restore my backup, the speaker came back working again (got sound from keyboard typing and unlocking the phone). However, as soon as i played the video or using any applications that have sound, the speakers stopped working again. So i tried to restore my phone to the factory setting but this time i did not retore my backup. The speakers worked, producing cracked sound, when the sound volumn was at the middle of soundbar which is factory setting but they stopped working when i increased the sound volumn. If lefted alone, the speakers randomly come back working, there's sound from unlocking the phone and keyboard typing for example, but when i started to use application that produce more sound, it silenced.
i personally think its the hardware issue, but it might be the software since i read that iOS 5.1 has bug with sound and speakers. Does anyone know what's wrong with my phone and how to fix it.
