I am using Windows XP Prof. PC 32 bit.

I did the checking with the Adobe / Forum website - as to what version I am using in Flash: I was able to get animation - NO Sound
I copied this information in hope that you'll see what I need to do!

Hi, thanks. Well the fact that you could see the animation means you have Flash Player Installed correctly and the latest version. However, I would like you to Use IE and go to Tools, Manage Addons. Then look for "Show"(very light text) and look in All Add ons for Shockwave Flash Object and make sure it is Enabled. It should also say vs 10.1.82.76. -->

Then use FF(Firefox) and go to Plugins and look for Shockwave Flash vs 10.1.82.76 and make sure it is Enabled.

I so not know if these answers (above) apply completely to my problem, they were very simular!
PLEASE Advise? I am not even sure if the problem is with Adobe... feeling stupid! -- Understanding all of this is difficult for me to absorb!
I would Appreciateany help you can provide, I haven't had sound in a long time. Other sounds from my file work fine.

Hello again.
I uninstalled and reinstalled  -  Followed all of your advise, Thank you for responding!
This is SO FRUSTRATING!
I have had no sound for a very long time now. Not your problem, mine! - I should have not waited in dealing with this!
         Restarted the computer.. here is the current info. after reinstalling:

I also visited the website you suggested for checking my  Adobe settings, I found it interesting but have no clue as to what I am supposed to do there? I read the entire page,  and went through each of the different settings, but don't understand how that applies to my no sound problem!
***  I am also not getting any of the Windows start up sounds, or closing etc. Does this make a difference for helping to identify the problem / SOLUTION any further?
I read Microsofts help pages,  they suggested looking at my device manager, everything was okay there (so far).
I thought I had read in one of the Adobe Forums to check for Driver updates...? Do you know for which Drivers?
I did check the  Realtek website -  As I am using: Realtek Semiconductor Corp AC97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller  Dated:  12/28/2006   this date has to be wrong!

    1)  Quicken 2007 for Intel (Snow Leopard, Lion, Mt.   • Installed newest Flash Player, "An error occured" message on most Youtube videos and other media not working

    After installing the newest version of Flash Player, on most YouTube videos I try to play the message, "An error occurred. Please try again later." comes up. Also, on websites like Tumblr other media, like audio and videos uploaded there, don't play at all - it's just a blank white space where it should be. This all works fine in Chrome.
    I've tried everything I can think of - I cleared the cache and removed cookies, updated all plug-ins, uninstalled and reinstalled both Flash and Firefox, disabled Ad-Block, ran it in Safe Mode and private browsing, restarted my laptop a couple of times - but none of it worked.

    Install Flash Player in Safe Mode.
    Shut down the computer.
    Press the power button. Immediately after you hear the startup sound, press and hold the Shift key.
    The Shift key should be pressed as soon as possible after startup,but not before the startup sound.
    Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo on the screen. Startup will take longer than usual.
    Login to your account. Launch Safari.
    Install Adobe Flash Player.
    Type in this address in Safari address bar manually.

    Install Adobe Flash Player.
    Once done, quit Safari and restart the computer from  in the menu bar.
    Once back in to the normal mode, make sure that plug-ins are allowed.
    Safari > Preferences > Security > Allow Plug-ins.

  • No Sound on MP4 Video and Other Issues

    I recently bought an iPod classic 5th gen (I believe - it certainly has video capabilities) white 80gb.
    Since I have a lot of free time at college, I bought this model specifically to watch movies in my free periods. However, when I put a movie (ripped from a disk I own and converted to mp4) no sound is played, just subtitles. The movie itself has sound, as well as the file on my computer.
    Attempting to follow Apple advice I installed QuickTime to open the file and view whether the sound was muxed. As I understand, if the sound is muxed it's basically unreadable by the iPod. I already had iTunes installed and had used it successfully.
    Upon installing QuickTime I opened the movie file and played it part way through. The subtitles were still present with no way of turning them off, however the sound was notably playing. I checked the info (Window > Show Movie Inspector) and it came up with:
    "Format: Mpeg-4 Video, 720x306, Millions
    AAC, 5.1 (C L R Ls Rs LFE), 48.000 kHz"
    From what I can tell from the support forum, this means it's not muxed and should therefore play fine, yet it still doesn't. (I'll add that it's not just with one video, but with both the converted DVD rips I've transferred: video, but with no sound.) Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
    However, when installing QuickTime, it seems to have broken my iTunes file. Whenever I try and open iTunes, a dialogue box appears saying:
    "The iTunes application could not be opened. A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall QuickTime. (~42404)"
    I repaired QuickTime but iTunes still does not work. Do I need to uninstall iTunes, QuickTime, or both if I hope for iTunes to work again?
    Apologies for the sheer length of this, I wanted to include as much information as possible whilst trying to keep it somewhat coherent. If you need anything explained further I'll try, but I admit I'm not very computer literate so may need things broken down for me to understand.

    I upgraded my iPad mini to the iOS 7.0.2 software and now videos (YouTube, USA Today, etc) won't play.  I have already done a restart (holding down the menu button and on button) and eern after restart, videos won't play.  Any suggestions?

    when u do a restore it deletes off everything on the device, including software. then it reinstalls the software from a new download package. this will ensure ur device isnt getting the same glitch in its system that ur current software has if that is the issue. when u restore from the backup u made AFTER uve done the 'restore ipad' that will put all of ur stuff back onto the ipad. i would suggest deleting off the youtube app b4 doing the back up and then readding it after the restore and restore from back up phases. if all of that doesnt work, youtube is the one with the problem and u should contact them.

    In the past, to protect you from [https://support.mozilla.org/kb/use-plugins-play-audio-video-games plugins] that have stability or security issues, Firefox could only turn off the problematic plugin. Now Firefox can prevent the plugin from running automatically (which prevents many issues) and then let you choose to run or update the plugin.   • Suddenly No Sound on YouTube Videos

    In the last couple of weeks, I suddenly have no sound on YouTube Videos and a few other Interent sites.  I still have sound for some sites such as Ted.com and sound for local and previously downloaded videos so I know my sound card works.   I've double checked the sound volumes in Preferences and have tried restarting the computer.    Any suggestions?

It will play, but frequently stops or sound continues and picture freezes. I have noticed that if I continually move my mouse, it plays fine. All these videos play fine in IE and Chrome.

    Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
    To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:

    Does this only happen with the nightly or can you reproduce this on other browsers as well?
    Are videos playing on the other tabs?
    To confirm what you are seeing:
    12 youtube pages are open by the time you get to 12 or 13 the video and audio are corrupted?

  • Youtube videos and my scroll pad keep sticking

    When i scroll down using two fingers on my scroll pad or whatever you call it it pauses for like a second and then its fine again. It also does it when i'm typing and it does it reallly frequently but for like a nanosecond. I also realised it does it when i'm watched youtube videos, and it does exactly the same thing, like the sound continues the video just stops for a second. I'm guessing their all connected but i just wondered if anyone knew how i could fix it cause it's so annoying!

    It's a function of signal quality and how much other stuff you may have open.
    Wifi or 3 g?  Both things that you mention are streaming, so you need a decent signal to get decent results.  If wifi, then see what else you might be doing that is using processor or network resources. 
    Double tap the home button to see the task bar.  Touch and hold any of the icons until they jiggle, the delete them by touching the minus sign.
    Grab an app like speed test, and see what your connection speed is.  I have found that anything less than 1.5 mps will lead to spotty video streaming.

    Try to restart using your installer disk, by inserting your installer disk and restart while pressing C.
    And after it reboot using installer disk and you select the installer language, got o utilities and repair permission and disk.
