No sound only problem with sms

Hello,
I have a problem, all of my sounds work perfectly, just not for the messages.
All my setting are good, everything is on standard so what could have gone wrong?
I have recoverd my Iphone, rebooted it several times, problem was not fixedHonly vibrates, even why i put vibrate on off i still have no sound.
Hope someone has a great idea for me!

Hi Jon,
When you adjust the volume on the iPhone does it show (headphones) even though headphones are not connected?

Try resetting the iPod by holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple logo as described here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743
If the issue is not resolved by removing debris from the headphone jack or resetting the iPod, try restoring the iPod and setting it up as a new iPod. This article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305744 will walk you through restoring the iPhone.

you still have the option (before your warranty expires) of purchasing an AppleCare Protection Plan, which will provide an additional two years of coverage. Once your warranty expires, you will no longer have the option of purchasing AppleCare.

Problem with SMS tone

Hi I have a problem with my iPhone..
Sometimes when i receive an SMS, the Sound that I have allocated to play when I receive the SMS does not play..
This only happen sometimes, and I cant explain why its not playing..
All the settings is correct (Volume is up , The SMS tone is set, Its not on Silent)
Can anyone help me with this!!

they are fixing the apps issue, i have never heard of their being no ringtone showing on ur iphone or itunes, have u downloaded itunes 8 as u will need that for the update, sounds like alot of your probs should be fixed, they are fixing the battery life issue i still dont use my iphone with 3g on as i have no service so im waiting for a major fix for that...well lets hope its all fixed by this update and nothing is screwed up by it as im sick of the firmware screwing up a part of the iphone, only good stable firmware was 1.1.4

Sound only works with Netflix via Mini DisplayPort

I recently ordered a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007DNG9DY/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00) for use with my Macbook Pro (purchased in 2011). I followed all of the setup instructions for display and sound (in both system preferences and Audio Midi). It seems that the audio is working only on Netflix. I have tried watching videos on other websites like YouTube and ABC, and there is video but no sound. Sound also works for video files that are on my computer.
Does anyone know why I would not have any sound only on certain websites? Is there a way to fix this?

I had this exact same issue with my mini and a Toshiba 1080p TV.
The reason is pretty technical and involves the EDID signal being lost between TV and Mini. (I think the TV can't re-acquire the signal from the mini)
The only way I found to solve it was to buy one of these:

Once setup it stores the EDID so that the TV always displays the mini's video signal.
It's easy to setup and works fine for me (I've used it connected directly to my TV and through a HDMI switch). Only problem is the price for something that should already work.

Strange problem with sms

Hi, I am in a big problem here so please help me.
My problem is that i have an app that sends sms and it used to work well, but when passed to some devices they dont send anything. Now the same app was deployed to a blackberry curve and it sends the sms but the message is never recieved by any phone. I tested sending to a nokia 6131, motorola l6i, htc excalibur, and a treo 650. The treo was the only one receiving the messages but not anymore, I am sending to the port 0 and the phone is put on international format.
The app have been correctly working on nokia phones and also tested on a blackberry 7290 but on blackberry curve is not working, I also loaded a small app just to send 1 sms and didnt work.
Any ideas, why does some phones can send/receive sms and some other not. Why is java too unreliable with this.

all other devices are working fine and they send the sms successfully
i dont use the port but use the primum no like 45456
it works well on all devices but dont work on MOTO E6 and MOTO A1200(ming)

New Sound Quality Problems with Flash and Macintosh

First I noticed the the Flash 8 Video Encoder exported low
low quality sound, as if pass through some bit-crusher folder,
happened on several macs in the office. Finally, I try it on
Windows XP, and no sound problems with FLV export (and it was
exporting videos 400% faster than macs).
Now, both inside Flash Ap itself, and worse in the SWF,
stream sounds are low-quality, with 16bit 44k pristine-sounding
source files.

I wish someone would give a solution to this problem. I think you are not giving importance because users use instant messaging applications. But I guess that's another big part of who uses it, as in my case.

What your operator means by "disable unicode keyboard" is to set your phone so that you can't write these accented characters with the keyboard. You can do that by changing the language of they keyboard.

A problem with SMS

Hi! I have problems using SMS. When I remove one of the sms of dialogue. In iOS 7 dialogue immediately descend on the date that is consistent with the last remaining SMS dialog . Now, despite the fact that the message is deleted , the dialogue itself remains in the same place on the same date . What is the problem?

Having problem with SMS.

Still a student here, so please help me out.
I think i have the same problem with a few BlackBerry Users out there. I can't view SMS even though there's clearly a notification stating that i've a new SMS. I need to go to View SMS inbox to view the message.

Problems with sms after 2.1 update

I have an original iphone, and after the recent update, I have had some problems with my text messages.
1. A friend who has sprint is unable to delete a text that I sent to her. She has had no other similar issues from anyone else.
2. Occasionally, the text entry box, disappears and I am unable to type anything.
3. Occasionally I am unable to scroll down to the most recent message in a conversation.
4. The text entry box has also moved up to the top of the screen.
Since the update, texts are not as sluggish, which is great, but these other issues are bothersome as well. Anyone with similar problems?

I don't recall reading anything similar to this, however if you are having problems with your phone, the standard troubleshooting procedures are to turn phone off/back on. If that doesn't correct it, then reboot the phone, hold home key and sleep/wake button together until you see the Apple logo, past the slide to turn off screen. If that doesn't work, then restore, first from a backup, then if necessary as a new phone.
I don't see how someone not being able to delete your text could have anything to do with your phone. That would have to be on their end. I had an origianl phone that I updated to 2.1 and did not have any issues whatsoever. See if any of these help.

Problem with SMS-Service

Hey, I have a big Poblem with my iPhone 3gs, 16gb.
The Screen was broken and I sent it for repair.
After I got it back, it works without problems but then I tried to send a SMS and nothing happened!
When I press "send" it goes to my homescreen/menu.
I have no idea what´s wrong with it and I found nothing about this in web.

Not that I'm a Verizon employee, but I have experience in the field. An LTE tower will only extend up to, on a perfect day, with no elevation, 6-7 miles. On a typical day, you will be lucky at four (4) miles. The three ZIP codes you've given are all within about a 12 mile radius. That would mean that 2-3 towers are currently down at the same time, and Verizon would know about it within the hour. Being it's Cleveland, I'm sure they would receive numerous calls regarding an outage of that size.
My point is that if you're having issues in all three ZIP codes, chances are it's a phone issue. If you're handset is simply not receiving LTE, but still receiving 3G, that would signify a SIM card issue. You need to get your SIM card replaced.

Sound channel problem with Personal Cinema FX500

The problem is that in the setup of WinDVD, the only audio source i can choose in WAVE,
but the sound output of the video tuner is on Line-In, of course.
Because of this problem, the remote affects the volume of WAVE, and has no effect on the Line-In channel. And, of course, when recording, the sound on the wave channel is recorded,
so, no sound !
Any one encountered this problem ? I installed the drivers on the original CD.

After nearly 3 months, I came up with the answer myself:
I installed a new driver (639) for the CMI8738 on-board sound and now the "Line In" option appears in the WinDVR setup.

RV180 (wired only) problems with firmware 1.0.4.14, fails to boot correctly + LAN ports power off during boot (downgrading to 1.0.3.10 = fine again).

A few months ago when 1.0.4.14 was released I was quick to update to this version from 1.0.3.10 but very quickly ran into issues.
Bit of background info... I am not doing anything complex with this box, basic IP4 network over all LAN ports, no VLANs, firewall enabled and allowing 2 port access rules to a static IP address. Any static IPs are assigned manual at host level but all other devices receive DHCP IP addresses. I don’t host VPN on this RV180 but I do with another. Routing VPN has no issues. WAN is connected to another switch provided by my ISP who provides DHCP IP Address with their DNS etc. Only LAN ports 1 and 2 are connected, port 1 to my Wireless AP (AP mode passing all requests to the RV180, DHCP etc.), port 2 connects to a 8 port Smart Switch (but all 'Smart' features are currently not in use, so basic switching only). All other settings on the RV180 are on recommended defaults.
Everything is working fine on 1.0.3.10 but I have all kinds of issues after updating to 1.0.4.14. Here are the actions and experiences I had...
1) Backup my RV180 config to txt file.
2) Navigate to the firmware upgrade page and follow steps to complete the upgrade process from 1.0.3.10 to 1.0.4.14. *router does the normal process of upgrading*
3) RV180 reboots to complete but doesn’t come back up even after waiting 5-10 mins. LAN ports enable during boot up (link lights on) but after about 2mins turn off (no link lights). WAN light is on alongside the Power Light.
4) Power cycle even with rest... Same results.
5) Reset the RV180 to default settings. I can sometimes get the unit to boot up and the LAN remains active and powered up. The web UI is VERY slow compared with 1.0.3.10. Internet sometimes works and sometimes doesn't (I would expect it all work without issue on default settings).
6) I repeat this a few times, various resets, powered off waiting periods, etc. but I always have issues. I did manage to get some log file information and the Kernel appears in the Alert, Error and also the Warning logs (please see attached files).
7) I gave up at this point. No major issues like this reported on the internet from a few google searches etc. So I then reset to defaults (1.0.4.14), downgrade to 1.0.3.10 and finally reset to defaults again + restore backup config settings (with some manual changes).
The router has remained like this and seem to be working fine, but I would like any security improvements from 1.0.4.14 firmware on my device.
Anyone able to help, have the same issue or can advise me in any other ways?
I see 1.0.3.10 isn’t displayed as a firmware download on the standard support page for the RV180 now. Only 1.0.2.6 and 1.0.4.14. Do I need to downgrade again to 1.0.2.6 before upgrading to the latest version?

I recently bought a RV180 router and immediately I encountered the same problem; practically I am not able to access the web GUI.
The PC is directly connected to the router, nothing else is connected; the TCP/IP configuration is as follows:
PC: 192.168.1.100
RV180: 192.168.1.1
GATEWAY: 192.168.1.1
SUBNET MASK: 255.255.255.0
Once the router is turned on, the power LED flashes fastly, the Ethernet LED is on but after few minutes it disappears and the PC detects a disconnection of the Ethernet cable.
The router is not pingable and, as I said, the web interface is not reachable.
I have tried to power cycle the router, to reset it (pressing the reset button for more than 3 second and for more than one minute), to access the rescue mode and download a new firmware through TFTP, but nothing worked.
Few times, after many boot and reset trials,I was able to access the web interface and in one of these occasions I updated the firmware to 1.0.4.14 but once the router is powered off the problem arises again at the next power on.
I have not tried yet to downgrade to an older firmware version.
Can you suggest any solution? thank you.

Sound input problem with Skype earbud

Just trying out Skype, and using a wired earbud I got free. The earbud is Skype branded, and has 2 minijacks - one is headphone and one is microphone.
When it's plugged in, if I go into Sound preferences there is no input if I choose Line In (rather than built in microphone). I have made sure the input level is turned up.
Any ideas? I will check if the earbud works with any other devices, as I suspect they're quite cheaply produced!
Update: just checked another headset that's the same and it doesn't work either. Neither work with our iMac. It's interesting that they seem to be incompatible.
