No Sound or Picture In Thumbnails
I have just added about 1 hour and a half of video into I movie and when I skim over it there is no sound and the thumbnails are just grey. Now this only happened to just a few parts of my video. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to stop it??? I have an iMac, with Tiger, and iLife 08
I'm having the same problem on 2 Mac computers, grey screen and no sound. So I took one computer into the Apple Store for repair and they said they'd never seen the problem before. I explained that I have 2 video cameras and multiple tapes that this is consistently happening with on 2 separate computers. They claimed they fixed the one computer, but when I got it home it will no longer upload video at all.

What you want to do does not work with an iPd running iOS 5. See the screenshot.
The latest update for HBO GO does allow for AirPlay on Apple TV - sound and video - but only on devices running iOS 6 and Apple TV running 5.1.1 or later - according to the app description. -
I bought a composite cable to connect my iPhone 4 iOS 6 to my tv so I can watch sky sports tv on it but when I connect it it just played sound no picture, I also tried new YouTube app and a video on my download manager app and same thing also tried on 2 TVs. So what's wrong what am I missing? The cable I got is a black amazon basic cable.

When downloading from a Sony minidisc video camera, the picture is downloading but without sound. Previously, it had downloaded successfully both sound and picture. I have subsequently upgraded to Lion X (10.7.4). Is there some problem with the upgrade which is affecting the transfer? Is there a way of resolving this?
When you have kernel panics, the pertinent information is in the panic report.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway. -

Aperture Star/reject ratings have disappeared from pictures and thumbnails.
After several trouble-free months my star ratings and/or reject crosses have disappeared from the pictures and thumbnails, however the stars can still be seen in the appropriate metadata display. I can still add or delete stars from the metadata. Have I accidentally blanked the display?
T5G5do any adjustment badges display on the thumbs ??? chances are you accidentally turned off the display badges option ...
in the manual pages 231 and 243 may be of particular interest ... it deals with metadata overlays and badges ...
keyboard shortcuts 'Y' and 'U' will hide the metadata overlays for viewer and browser views ...

26C100U LCD tv no sound or picture
This TV died yesterday. 2 yrs old. green light comes on but no sound or picture. Other functions do not work either. Unplugged over night still nothing. took back cover off and circuit boards look normal. Fuse is good. Capacitor looks ok. Any ideas?

I've been having a problem with iPhoto and this is a new problem.
When I used to open iPhoto I saw all my pictures in thumbnail form, but for some reason I lost them all.
When I went to my Pictures folder in Finder I was able to get them back into iPhoto.
Now I see all the thumbnails back in iPhoto, but when I click on some of them I get an this !, an exclamation point instead of the picture I clicked on.
After I did this whole process I stupidly trashed all the original pictures thinking they were now back in iPhoto and that's probably why I get instead
of the picture.
I went into Time Machine and thought I restored at least some of the photos, but I'm still getting .
I thought reinstalling iPhoto would help, but don't know how to reinstall it.

PeterWell, I just got all my pictures back. If you look on the upper right of this page and click on "iPhoto '11 All Photos Lost" and follow Old Toad's directions you'll restore all you photo's. What a life saver.
You won't get all the data back, but at least you'll have your pictures.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. Certain movies on Netflix, when played, the sound and picture do not match. It looks like a voice over. You see lips move to the wrong voice.

Insert static picture between thumbnails and sliding pictures
Hello everybody,
I try to create a fullscreen slideshow behind a static picture with transparent areas in muse ... unsuccessfully!
In the fullscreen background should be the changing pictures.
Over these sliding pictures, one static picture with transparent areas, fullscreen (important!), so that you can see parts of slideshow.
And in the foreground has to be the thumbnails and buttons trigger to control slideshow.
How can I insert a static picture between thumbnails and sliding pictures?

I have an ipad3. I brought brought a wireless AV Box to view videos on the TV. I have tried this on both hdmi TV an can only get sound no picture. Any help would be appreciated. I am new to iPad so not too tech please.

1.- I´m creating a Muse site which contains videos, photos and sound. All videos, sounds and pictures are located in diferent folders in my PC. Since Muse doesn't organize the project and its files like Dremweaver (all files in a single folder). How can I manage my site (containing all the media) in order to upload it to a server?

Mauricio444Kevin is suggesting that you store the projects you create while working through his book in a folder called RoboHelpProjects. It is not where you have to store every project you ever create.That is for the purposes of his book.
RoboHelp initially defaults to My RoboHelp Projects but it's up to you whether you do. Generally on the forums we advise against that as it is part of your profile and can result in excessively long path names in a few cases. Generally where authors create file names that are so long they almost serve as the content.
Projects always have a root folder, call them Project 1 and Project 2 for this purpose. You can have those folders directly off your C drive (or other local partition) or within in a parent folder as above.
Now to what you can and cannot do. You can delete a whole project by selecting Project 1 or Project 2 in Windows Explorer. Obviously if you delete the parent folder you will delete all your projects within.
What you must not do is delete individual files within a project using Windows Explorer, for that you use RoboHelp's Project Manager. The exception is if you go to Tools > Reports there is a report Unused Files. Files listed there will have to be deleted using Windows Explorer for the very good reason they do not appear in Project Manager and, therefore, cannot be deleted that way.
If you think about it, it is similar to Word. There is no option to delete a document there other than using File > Open and right clicking. Not very intuitive.

Mac suggestes downloads to open AVI files on HDVR. Telestream finds the plugged in HDVR file but will not play...blank black screen which has no sound or picture. DivX will not download, report sent to Aplle. Any ideas how to play the files?
