No sound playing video

Help anyone
Sound suddently dissapered when playing video in browser safari - video playing directly on sites. I have checked everything I think.
Sounds works fine in Firefox and Crome.
I can not figure it out.
Some suggestens? Anyone?

Go step by step and test.
1.Check the audio control button at the bottom of the video window.
   If it is set to mute, increase the volume level.
2. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Follow the prompts.
    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
3. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.
    Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.

Sound is not turned on in Settings (except for alerts). Sound is controlled by the volume up and down buttons on the side of the iPad (in portrait mode). Make sure that sound is turned up with those buttons.
Another thing to check: if earphones are plugged in the iPad speaker is silenced.

Itunes 7 No Audio/Sound playing Video

I really couldn't find an answer to this problem, i can play songs and sound comes out, but when i play videos, whether it is from podcasts or tv shows or videos i uploaded, there i sno sound, (when i play plain audio podcasts there's sound)
so what do i do?

The problem is with QuickTime, not iTunes.

No sound playing videos - not finding answer

Hi, any help would be greatly appreciated.
A few months ago movies played in QT stopped having sound - the video is fine, but there is no audio. I got an error message that told me I was missing a third-party component for QT, and directed to a site that had about ten, without any hint as to which one of them I needed.
After looking through the discussion threads, I downloaded VLC, thinking it might help, but I'm not sure. I tried ctrl-clicking on the movie to "Open this link", but it is inactive. Do I have to download the movies to get them to play in VLC? Does anyone have any suggestions as to which third-party component I'm missing?

I just visited Salon (first time) and had no trouble with the first QT .mov file I found:

The page does have some errors (no closing embed tag) and the .mov file uses 48kHz audio (too high for Web use).
But it is AAC audio and worked just fine on my Mac mini.
I suspect some third party software conflict. You can test by visiting the Site while logged in as a different user.

Cannot get sound in videos?

No sound playing videos. The iPad is not switched to mute. There is sound in other actions like keyboard, despatch of email etc. I have an iPad 3

Muting system sounds does not affect sound in the Videos App anyway.
Try quitting the videos app completely and restart the iPad. See if that helps. If not, reboot the iPad and see if the sound comes back for videos.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Glad you seem to have sorted things out.
The warning about the warranty is light hearted, I think at one stage it warned "here be dragons" but also intended to make us think as it warns that making changes may produce problems.

Sound delay while playing video in iTunes.

When playing video in iTunes the sound is increasingly delaying and after approximately 10 seconds it becomes almost impossible to watch the video. When you move to the other part of the video, the sound is back to normal for a short time and then becomes delayed again.
When video is playing, it is possible to hear that sound is not smooth, but has very minor breaks. The video is downloaded to the computer. I opened this video with Windows Media Player and QuickTime and it works good, but, unfortunately, it does not work correctly while playing in iTunes player.
I experience this problem on Windows 7 32-bit.
Please, help with this problem.

I'm trying to connect my iPhone 4 to my TV to play videos via use of a new "Composite AV Cable" but only sound will play off TV, not video. I've tried every yellow/red/white input on the TV but to no avail. Any suggestions?

The iPhone 4, unlike iPod, doesn't ask you to set for PAL or NTSC. In fact, in the SETTINGS/Video menu it only asks if you want to "Start Playing From Beginning", "Closed Captioning" and "Home Sharing". I was surprised it had no settings like the iPod at all.

Itunes does not play video properly - sound or video out of sync

About 6 months ago, all of a sudden my itunes for windows starts to play my movies or tv shows improperly. Video is frozen while the sound plays. Or the exact reverse happens. Apple showed me to uninstall fully and reinstall Itunes, which worked once. Couple of months later the same happens again. I tried again a proper uninstall and reinstall but to no avail.
I have been using Itunes for windows for the last 4 years and nothing ever went wrong like this. Now the only way to see my video is to sync to my iphone.
Anyone have this problem? I've read about the codex issues that can cause problems. I tried some of the fixes and nothing works.
Even says that the firewall or virus programs can interfere - I'm surprised if that would be a cause.
I have a recent laptop with windows 7 premium, 64bit. When I bought it about 1.5 years ago I had no problem with Itunes.

You synced the sd version to the ipods?
You can report the issue to itunes. They should resolve within a day.

Not even close to good enough, LCD screen will crack, water will go in through the jack/charger ports..
The phone i describe has no external ports just 4-5 little pins which can't let water in or out of the device, the docking station will connect via these 4 - 5 pins for data transfer and recharging...., IPX8 standard, all the electronics are epxoyed with a glue to stop real bad shocks from drops and bangs, along with a silicon case and all the other preventative meausres means this little phone is going to outlive you.
in combination with heart rate external bluetooth connection, really what more could you want... only the Sonim comes close in terms of perfection but if it managed to pack all of above, then it would be simply wow... No embedded video (empty bar) in FF ver. 15 32bit. Sound plays. Flash ver. 11.4.402.265. No problems in IE. Windows 7 x64.

Installed FF 15 (32 bit) on a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate edition (x64).
Everything works fine except the embedded video.
The video clip thumbnail is shown, when clicking on the clip the sound plays and the right-mouse click shows flash player options, but no video is shown (empty bar).
No problems on original YouTube or other flash video sites were detected.
No crashes detected.
Please, advise.

1) Started the FF in Safe Mode.
The embedded video works normally (!!!)
2) Re-started the FF in normal mode - got the problem.
3) Disabled ALL plugins and ALL add-ons (except the flash player) in Normal Mode - got the problem (once again, ALL plugins / add-ons were disabled).
Safe Mode - everything works.
Normal Mode - problem occurs (with no relation to disabling plugins / add-ons).
Looks like there's something built-in FF which has the problem with showing embedded video normally in FF Normal Mode.

My IPOD WONT PLAY SOUND ON VIDEOS

i just got an ipod and i can play videos but there is no sound. the videos i want to play are music videos i have downloaded and ren and stimpy videos and meet the barkers tv series. i have clicked convert to ipod in itunes and they convert but after they convert they lose there sound on itunes and when i transfer them to the ipod there is no sound. has anyone else got this problem or have an idea to correct it. please help cuz i have minimal ipod / computer knowledge and i need all the help i can get thanks

That sometimes happend to me when I converted the videos using Itunes....So, I use this converter instead...

It'a a free program to download and your videos should play fine in your ipod once you use this to covert them.
As for the videos not playing for you, it could be the fact that you coverted them using Itunes, so try the above converter instead and that should work okay. If that still doesn't work for you try getting your settings back to their original state - Go to 'Settings' and then 'reset Settings' and this will put your settings back the way they were once you bought the ipod originally. The videos should definately play in your ipod then.
If you need anymore help, just let me know, I know how annoying it is when the videos won't play properly!!!

Can't play sounds on videos when using 'Facebook', music plays

On my wife's iPad she cannot hear sound from video clips when in 'Facebook', but she can hear sound when she opens iTunes. Any help, suggestions?

Sorry I don't. It just happens at random and usually most YouTube videos and other similar styled videos. I'm not really a tech guy but it just seems like there is something else going on. Everything else on my PC works fine except when I want to open a video using flash. It isn't just one site or one video it is nearly every flash video and it's almost like they're loading one at a time except in no order if there is more than one tab. Even if it is just one video, it takes a long time to load.
Imagine going to YouTube to load up a vid and the controls or progrss bar never load, it just stops and only a solid black box is displayed. Eventually the controls load and it seems like it's about to play at any moment.. only the waiting lasts 5 minutes. Even if you refresh it still has to do this all over again.

Quicktime, Quicktime Pro and iTunes don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.

You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.
