No sound! Tried everything in trouble shooting.
So as the title says I have no sound. I have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions none of which have helped. I have unistalled/re-installed skype many times and the probelem still persists. I have checked all the audio options and have set all the appropriate ones to my headset ('Headset Earphone (Razer Kraken 7.1)').
The only way I can get sound from skype is by changing the audio settings to my speakers and turning them on... My headset isn't broken becuase all other sound from my computer works fine with them. But why not skype.

Operating System - Windows 7 64-bit
Skype Version - 7.1.59.105
If nobody is able to provide a solution can someone please point me in the direction of the customer support. I have been unable to find any way to contact them on the site.
All that's left is either to send it away for service to one of the many 3rd party repair sites (cheaper than Apple), or if you're knowledgeable about these things, open it up yourself. Might be just a loose connection that you can quickly repair.

I have a iphone 3GS 16 GB that is currently working on version 4.3.5. I'm having major battery issues and need to take it in for repairs but can't because I can't get the system to back up all my information first. Every time I try to sync or back up or update my apps it gives me that error message in the title. I have unauthorized, and reauthorized the computer. I have changed to another, completely new computer which was also authorized. i have been using the same account since I first got the phone, and never backed it up on any computer before.
IF I can make the back up work, will it also save my existing text messages and entries in the notes app? I'm about to go to the android system because from all the errors and issues that I am seeing listed in here and on other forums, seems like Apple has been neglecting their products a lot.@ deggie, I wasn't threatening ANYONE. I was simply saying how frustrating this has become, seeing how I have been trying on my own to figure this issue out for more then a month with no results. Like I said in the beginning, I have not used any other account to purchase apps or other products on my phone. I have only ever used one account. There are 23 apps that are saying they can't sync. It directs me to authorize the computer, which I do but it doesn't change the outcome. If I proceed, I lose those 23 apps correct? Do I also lose all my text messages saved, and other things such as documents in the "notes"?

I plug my iphone 3gs into my laptop and it no longer syncs with my iTunes. I've tried all the trouble shooting methods and nothing works. My iPhone doesn't appear on iTunes or under "My Computer." Does anyone know how to fix this?
If AMDS is running, you are using a USB port directly on the computer and not a hub, you have disconnected other USB devices except keyboard and mouse, you have completely uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925, You have tried cleaning the connector on the bottom of the phone, you have tried a different cable, you have installed the latest USB drivers for your computer, you have disabled your antivirus and firewall, you are running as an Administrator account and you have tried creating a new user on your computer and connected when logged in as that user then you have exhausted my knowledge. The only other thing to try is a different computer. If it isn't recognized on a different computer you have a hardware problem. Good luck!

I have been pinning websites as App Tabs on my mac book pro. However, whenever I exit firefox and reopen it next time, my tabs will be gone (even though I had pinned it and did not close it out). I tried all the trouble shooting suggestions on configuring the preferences but to no avail. Any suggestions on what my problem is?
well mine is remembering history but this happens even when im in the middle of something and a tab will open that's blank!! really really drives me nuts!! and the remember isn't the problem it does this after awhile, could it be faster fox browser add-on? or another add-on that's making it do it?

i have a HP laptop, when i try to do certain things that require flash player it tells me i need to install the latest version so when i try it says its already installed. i have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions and it stll isnt working. I even checked the activex filtering and that doesn't seem to be the problem.

As far as I know, iCloud doesn't sync the sort order.

When I try to go to google.ca I keep getting a notification telling me "this connection is untrusted" I don't understand why? I use google.ca every day with no problems and now this has been happening for 2 weeks. I can use google in Internet Explorer but not Firefox. When you get the error page, could you check a couple things.
First, expand the technical details section and look at the explanation for the error. What is the problem with the certificate?
Second, if you expand the third section and click the Add Exception button, you can view the certificate. Sometimes this shows the name of your security software provider (ESET, BitDefender) instead of showing Google's real certificate. You can cancel out of this dialog after viewing it and making note (or a screen shot) of the issuer. -
Help. No Sound, Tried everything I swe
I have a Soundblaster Audigy 2 card. I have Creative desktop speakers. I have an ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 video card. I have an NVIDIA nForce2 motherboard. I'm running Windows XP. The speakers work when plugged into a different PC. I have uninstalled and resinstalled the card, updated the driver, I have read and followed Jeremy's FAQs end to end, I have run every troubleshooter there is, still no sound. Everything was fine until a couple weeks ago when I was having an overheating problem. In troubleshooting that issue, one recommendation was to update all my drivers, so I did so (yes, I know, doesn't seem to be a logical solution but I was desperate). Didn't touch any speaker settings, cables etc. Next day discovered no sound. I run a second cable out of the 3rd jack (counting left to right when looking at back of card) to my stereo and this still produces sound (e.g. Windows Media Player) but it is not clear. The 2nd jack, the one that used to dri've my desktop speakers just fine, now produces nothing. Again, I have checked every troubleshooting box, read and tested every FAQ, everything. Has anyone had this experience? Does anyone know of any conflict out there - perhaps with ATI or some Windows update? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. ps - The only thing I haven't done is run Windows Guided Help for a clean boot since I keep getting the message from MSFT that the download is not available right now.
Went back and figured out how to run the clean boot manually. With a clean boot I can get good sound out of jack #3 but jack #2, which used to give clear sound, is still dead. I can li've with one working jack. However, when I return to?a regular boot, about 5 seconds after the desktop comes up a loud crackling and hissing kicks in. If I'm reading the FAQs correctly this suggests the problem, or at least one of the problems, lies with another program that runs on startup. Any suggestions as to how to isolate and fix?the problem? Thanks.

After one year and one month of ownership my Ipod mini stopped working: There is No sound. But if I put it on the Itrip adapter it is working...It seems that the jack is not recognizing the headphone anymore. Didnt't dropt it
I have:
1) Reseted my Ipod
2) I have use the updater twice
3) Tried new earphones
Noting seems to work.

The ipod icon does not appear on itunes. I followed all the troubleshooting help. Uninstalling all programs related to ituens and itunes. veryifying uninstall restarting computer, installing again. I bought this ipod at a thrift store. BUT IT WAS BRAND NEW in the package, never opened. checking serial number on apple they want a fee of 19.00 to give me help! I paid 40 for the ipod so not worth it. but if anyone has an idea for how I can get this to work. Pleaseeeee

Even though you tried "all the troubleshooting" I will offer this just in case. Sometimes settings can get corrupted.
Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional. -
I'M USING IE8, XP (SP3). I've cleared caches,cookies,on flash,mozilla and IE8. Iran virus scans, maleware scans,and registry cleaners, but nothing seems to fix the problem. all of my program, apps. and updates are current.
This is probably a problem with your firefox profile. Try running firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]. If you want a clean start, you might want to make a new [[Managing Profiles|profile]].
