No sound when I add titles

In my movie, I have several clips with titles. After the title has been added, the sound from the clip disappears. When the clip with the title is over, the sound reappears. Any suggestions on how to add titles without losing the sound?

Repairing permissions and deleting preferences is definitely the place to start. Close down iMovie first, and then restart your computer after repairing permissions and deleting preferences.
Also, when dealing with titles you are dealing with fonts, and fonts can cause problems. Check your Font Book folder (MacHD>Font Book) and see if you have any duplicate fonts. Duplicate fonts will be shown by a black dot next to the name. If you click on the little triangle to the left of the font name you will reveal the duplicates. Remove any duplicate fonts. You do this by selecting the font with the dot next to it, and then going to Edit>Resolve Duplicates.That will turn off the duplicate font.
Next, try closing iMovie and deleting the FontCollections folder found in User (the house icon)>Library>FontCollections. iMovie will replace that file on relaunch. Or, alternatively, you can drag the FontCollections folder to your desktop and then relaunch.
The above may not work in your case, but I have found sometimes that it will cure title problems. Also, I am running OS 10.3.9, which is considerably older than your operating system version. So perhaps the set up might be different on your computer.

You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

Trying to add titles in IMovie. Using IMovie 8.0.6 and Mac OSX version 10.6.8. When I try to add titles IMovie shuts down. What do I need to do to stop the shut downs?

Was able to add some Titles yesterday, but had some problems with shut downs. Today I can not get past clicking on Titles without a shutdown

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3310 but you have 10.6.8. So this shouldn't apply. But just in case.
This had to do with the Far Far Away title causing iMovie to quit.
Try clearing caches and plist.
Do the behavior persist in a new user on the computer?

When I add a title in iMovie, the last title disappears

Using iMovie 10.0.5 on a Retina 15" running 10.9.5, I have added a series of titles (lyrics) over a music video. Now, suddenly, when I add the next one, the previous one I added disappears. It does allow me to add the new one, which is the sixth or seventh one in the video, each with only a few words. Then, when I add another, the last one disappears again. I am ripping out the last of my hair.
All I have to do is drag the transition over the tracks area and the new one is gone. If I move on past the tracks area, dragging the new transition over the border, as it were, the previous one reappears.
Is there a maximum number of titles that can be added over a video?

Unfortunately I did already the case "delete preferences" but nothing!
Also, when crashes do not give me any reports!
Started in safe mode, with another administrator, the problem becomes even: your video card is not compatible with Quartz Extreme!
My card is a g-force framework 4000 FOR MAC!!
STRANGE TRUE!

My itunes adds snippets of sounds when importing music

Ive had this bug for a while now where itunes adds about 2 seconds of what i think might be other songs or maybe just random sounds into random parts of the mp3 file. It doesnt do this on all songs just every now and again. Ive checked the files im importing and when i play them with a different program like quicktime or whatever, the songs are fine. Im using the setting where itunes copies all added music to its directory, in this case an external hdd. Ive checked the file in the itunes directory and they do have the snippet in them. so im assuming itunes messes up somehow when copying to its file directory or maybe my hdd is slowly getting corrupted, which i doubt as other files from the hdd are fine. Also i think this only happens when i add multiple songs at a time but im not 100% on that as it happens to maybe 1 in 100 songs so it might just not have happened to an individual import yet.
Has anyone ever had any similar problems where itunes added random 2 second snippets to the mp3 file?

PE7 crashes when trying to add titles

i uninstalled pe7 then installed it again.
i get as far as the "Add Title" box, but before I can start typing in it i get...
"Adobe Premiere Elements.exe has stopped working"
any fixes for this?

The biggest cause of crashes with Titler is most often a bad, or corrupt font. This ARTICLE will give you tips, and also tips on tracking down bad, or corrupt fonts.

Having several problems with Adobe Premiere Elements 13. Right now my worst is that when I add text to a clip, it goes out of "auto color" while the text is up. Help?

I'm having a number of problems with Elements 13. One is that, while in "play" mode, the sound will just stop happening. I have to click "pause" then "go" again and the sound comes back. It also stops playing on it's own, I have to hit "play" repeatedly. Just got the software, have been using it extensively for a week or two, and this just started happening.dor

If we are looking at the same thing, you have called attention to one strange Premiere Elements 13 AutoColor/Titler interaction. This can be reproduced in the Expert or
the Quick workspace. I will demo this in the Quick workspace since that is where you have been working.
1. Import a still into the Quick workspace/Filmstrip.
2. With the still selected, go to Adjust Tab/Adjustments Palette/Color Panel expanded and just click on the Auto Color Tab. Close the Adjust Tab route.
3. Go to Text Menu/New Text/Default Text to open the project's Titler. When you do that you see the following and not the still over which the text title is to go.
And when you close the Titler, you then see the "Add Text" text title in the still.
The only solution that I can think of at this time is to create the text title and then apply the Auto Color to the still.
It is interesting that this only happens with the Auto Color in the Color Panel selected. If you do not click on
Color Panel and use the More options for Color adjustments, this behavior does not take place.
Deletion of Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file does not correct this situation.

I think that here we need to explore project settings (project presets), properties of source media, and Timeline rendered and unrendered content prior to export.

a. verify if the Auto Color Text Title glitch that I saw is what you described in your situation
b. give the details of your project so that we can explore cause and effect for Timeline content playback irregularities as seen in the Edit area monitor.

Do you mean that there is a problem with closing Firefox?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Try to use "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.

When i add my own album cover it splits the songs up

when i add my own album cover it splits the songs up making it look like that the songs are from different albums...
it doesn't happen to all of the albums that i've added my own covers to...i make sure that all the TAG info is the same for everything with the exception of the song title. and blank all the other categories by checking the info boxes so that it will erase any info in any of the categories...
it'll show that like one track by itself then like 3 by their self then like 8 and back to one....and once i delete the album artwork it'll go back to looking like it's all from one album which it should.

I had a similar problem. This may sound dumb, but check the case (upper case / lower case) of every letter of the album name and make sure each song is EXACTLY the same (choose one song and do a copy paste to the rest). I don't know why adding album art causes the songs to appear to be from different albums, but once I matched the album name down to the case, I was fine.

Can anyone help me figure why there is a popping sound when I move from an iphoto still image to a new video clip? The sound has been removed from the video clips and there is another soundtrack underneath it all. Help?

My current project is like many I have created in the past. I have removed the sound from my video clips and laid another soundtrack under the entire project. Now, when I add an iphoto still image to the project, when it goes back into video there is a popping sound. I've never had this happen in the past and have made many projects in the past just like this one. Any way to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks so much for your help.

Why does my font color change when I add an image to InDesign?

Hello, I am doing a page layout in InDesign and I am using a light blue font for my title but when I add an image from Photoshop, the font color turns dark blue. When I open the InDesign file in Adobe Acrobat, my title is still dark blue. It's only when I make a PDF of the file in Acrobat and open it in the Safari browser that the title goes back to its original light blue font. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thank you!

Not a good idea. The flattened PSD has lost all its layers, adjustments, and effects. I hope you don’t need to edit it or change any layer’s visibility. Either that or you now have two files to keep track of and have neutered InDesign’s Edit Original feature. Better to take Peter’s advice and place the text above the image so it is not affected by transparency flattening. If you need the text below because you want the drop shadow to interact with the text, then use Overprint Preview (View menu) or Separations Preview (Window > Output) to get a more accurate view of the text colour.

Since loading IOS7 i get a crackling sound when I use the ipad to video something

When I video something now i get a crackling sound when I replay the video. From reading some sites it seems the problem comes from the time I downloaded tge latest ios7 update. I an trying to find out how to recover from this problem

iPhoto is not showing photos stored in albums in the last week, and when I add recent photos, they don't show, or show as black. What's happening ? I show an incompatible upgrade available for OSX Maveriks, which I have not yet installed.

What version of iPhoto are you using? Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
