No sound when I connect my Ipod touch to my new ford focus via USB
When I connect my Ipod to my 2011 Ford Focus it shows as connected and I am able to view all my song however when I press play I get no sound, am I doing something wrong? do I need a new bit of software to make this work?
Other users have reported similar problems with the latest iOS. I suggest that you use the search function on the right and search the iPod Touch forum for Ford. Use the more option link to restrict the search to the Touch.

Often, when I connect my iPod Touch 2G to the PC, instead of showing up as a device on iTunes, a pop-up appears that says I have connected a camera and asks what I want to do. This device doesn't have a camera in it. When this happens, (not always)I can't update my iPod, no matter how many times I try to connect it. I have an old Nano that has never had this problem at all. Can anyone tell me what to do about this?

You can't do that.
And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music. -

Ok, there can be several reasons an iPod will do this:
1.) The device may have a hardware issue, such as the 20-pin connector's connection to the logic board of the device is faulty, etc.
2.) A software/firmware issue is restricting the device from connecting with the computer properly.
Here are a few things to try:
1.)
1. Restart your computer
2. Power off your device
3. Plug in your device
4.) Launch iTunes if it does not automatically launch
if that does not work:

1. Keep your device plugged into your computer.
2. Power off your device while it is connected.
3. Disconnect your device
4. Begin holding the home button of your device
5. While holding the home button down, plug your device into your computer
6. Continue holding the home button until iTunes pops up (if it takes more than, say, 1 minute, it is not working). iTunes will say it detected a device in recovery mode, and that you will need to reinstall your software. Do so by clicking the button 'Restore' under the picture of your device in iTunes (when you are on the page of your device inside of iTunes).

1. Power on your device while connected to your computer
2. Leave your device connected to your computer and power off your device by pressing the home and power buttons down
3. After 10 seconds from the time you started holding the buttons, release the power button, but continue holding down the home button
4. Stop holding the home button down once iTunes launches and says that your device is in recovery mode, then proceed to do a software restore by clicking on your device in iTunes, then clicking the button that says 'Restore'. -
When I connect my iPod touch to my computer, I have a list of Events on my iTunes-iPod-Photos. I want to erase these Events. However, the photos are NOT on my MacBook Air-iPhoto. When I check one of the Events and then hit Apply, the photos appear on my iPod. And one last thing: When I connect the iPod and open iPhoto, iPhoto tries to load New Photos (I think), but nothing happens. Any ideas?

I tried connecting my Ipod Touch 5th generation to the internet via ad-hoc from my windows 7 laptop. My iPod was connected to the internet but just in a moment. Then it disconnects. I tried so many other option such as creating another ad-hoc from other laptop but still the same result. Is there something wrong with my iPod? this is so frustrating. I've been using ipod touch 4th gen before I got the 5th and connecting to the internet via ad-hoc was never a problem for me. Would someone help me?
