    https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/108086
Adobe Flash Player is directly integrated with Google Chrome and enabled by default. Available updates for Adobe Flash Player are automatically included in Chrome system updates.
If you want to use Adobe Flash Player in other browsers, you’ll need to separately download the Adobe Flash Playerfor those browsers.Enable or disable Adobe Flash Player
These instructions apply to Google Chrome on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS.
Type chromelugins in the address bar to open the Plug-ins page.
On the Plug-ins page that appears, find the "Flash" listing.
To enable Adobe Flash Player, click the Enable link under its name.
To disable Adobe Flash Player completely, click the Disable link under its name.
Note: If you've previously installed Adobe Flash Player separately, you'll see two files listed for the plug-in. If both are listed as enabled, the version bundled with Chrome will be used. To enable a specific version of Adobe Flash Player, clickDetails in the upper-right corner of the page. Then click the Enable link for the version of Adobe Flash Player you want to enable. The table below shows the filename for the version that is integrated with Google Chrome. more at the link above .....

  • Clicking sound when playing videos in Safari

When I play videos in Safari I gett a clicking sound.  If I try the same video in Chrome I do not hear these clicking sounds

Hi, everyone.  This is Joey from Bongiovi Acoustics.  This is a frustrating and known issue that arose with the release of Mavericks. Click here for our help topic on the issue.
The solution is not to uninstall Digital Power Station (DPS) but to quit the application from the task bar when the issue arises.
Allow me to explain in detail:
The Digital Power Station plugin works by capturing all system audio using a virtual audio output driver (a kernel extension called DPSReflector).  The audio then goes to the Digital Power Station application where we apply the Bongiovi DPS audio processing.  Then processed audio flows out to the physical output on your Mac that you choose in the DPS preferences window.
When you quit the DPS application from the task bar menu, the DPSReflector is taken out of the audio path and your standard connection to the audio hardware is restored.  There is no need to uninstall DPS.  When you want to listen to music or non Quicktime X powered video, you can just restart DPS from Launchpad.
Unlike most applications (word processors, video games, Photoshop etc) the use of a kernel extension vastly complicates our interaction with OSX.  Up through OSX 10.8 the kernel extensions that captured audio worked great.  These include the famous Soundflower by Cycling 74 as well as our own DPSReflector.  Apple provided tools to developrs to fine tune them and their interactions with OSX and the world was happy.
With OSX 10.9 things seem to have changed.  See our forum topic on the issue. The tools for profiling audio processes at a lower level no longer seem to work properly.  And documentation about the changes to CoreAudio is incomplete.  We have had an open bug report with Apple's driver support team for several months and we are consulting with experts on OSX kernel extensions to resolve the issue.  As you can imagine, the lack of movement on this issue is frustrating.  We can't see inside of CoreAudio to see how it is built at a deep level.  So without documentation or good developer support we are at a standstill for fixing the issue.  As soon as we get actionable information from Apple we will fix the issue immediately and push out an update.
We are dedicated to providing our users with amazing audio and we go to great lengths to see that their experience is the very best we can offer.  Our hope is the fine folks at Apple with get back with us and provide good data that we can use to squash this bug.  Feel free to keep up to date on our progress at our forums.
    Thanks for your patience!

  • Safari clicking sound when playing video.

Issue has been with me on my (mid-2012) MBPretina since I got it (I think). Video on any website has a consistent glitchy clicking sound (no actual video issues) but no issues in Chrome. Haven't tried other browsers and video in other apps (iTunes etc have no such problems)
I have now upgraded to Mavericks and the issue persists.
I'd rather not use Chrome so...
    <Edited by Host>

If the video requires Flash ..
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
    Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select:  Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
    Now try a video.

  • Why do I get a black screen and no sound when playing video in iTunes 8?

Just downloaded the new iTunes. I don't have any video playback when I click preview in the store. No video when I try to play anything that I've already downloaded. The play cursor moves but I have a black screen with no sound. I'm hoping this is just a temporary glitch.
Any recommendations? I'm using the latest version of Leopard 10.5.4 on an Intel iMac.

Yeah! Problem solved: It's a QT issue.
Cause: Mac Update Software downloaded a faulty QT.
Solution: Download QT from Apple's QT site.
Great to have the Video back

  • Crackling sound when playing video files with X-Fi Elite

    Hello,
I have a Creative X-Fi Elite Pro running on a Windows Vista Ultimate system that have the Gigaworks S750 Speakers connected to them.
I noticed today when trying to play a video file that there was constant crackling in the background throughout the file. To try to isolate the problem, I tried a different file, and have found that this happens with ALL video files. Audio playback on mp3s or CDs is OK.
I'm using Entertainment Mode, EAX effects set to Theater, CMSS enabled and Crystallizer disabled, and all other settings as default. The configuration is set to 7. to match my Gigaworks speakers.
I have tried using both the latest and latest beta drivers for the card, without success.
Any help to resolve these problems would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    H.

Thank you for the response. I have checked it, and it says (i've dutch language) something i would translate to English as "System sound output". Is that preference for all discs? I would assume so. But DVD-player plays some discs without sound, and some with sound. So maybe it is codec related? But i would not know how to check that... (when i try to see what codec, audio says it is dts, and i assume dts audio should be no problem?)

  • After iOS 8, no sound when playing video taken from the back camera..

I have an iPhone 5, everything was fine before the update, but after ios 8, when i record a video from the back camera only, it plays no sound.  The front camera works fine, sound and picture are perfect during playback, back camera just picture, no sound..  Anyone else have a similar issue?

We are discussing this over here: iPhone 6 video recording without sound.

  • No sound when playing video from organizer in PSe 4.0

I am currently having a problem with previewing video in the organizer in Photoshop Elements 6.0.  The problem is that there is no sound.  I thought something went wrong during the import of these videos from the camcorder to the PC hard drive (imported through the Adobe Downloader) so I tried to use them in a project in Premier Elements 4.0.
If I open these videos in Premier Elements 4.0, you can hear the sound.  Also, it's only for the .mpg I copy over from the camcorder.  There are .avi files and .mov files in the organizer and those play just fine.
I use Windows XP with an older DELL system.
Anybody have this problem?  Any suggestions how to fix it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I tried searching the web and these forums but I didn't find anything that matched my problem.
    Tony H.

My suspicion is that there is not an appropriate system available mpeg2 codec on your Windows XP machine for the Photoshop Elements 6 Organizer to use for the playback of your .mpg file.  Premiere Elements 4 provides its own codec for mpeg2 and I think that is why it can work with these files.
What solved this type of problem for me on an older Dell desktop runnning XP Home using Sony hard drive SD camcorder .mpg files was
-- to install the software provided by Sony on the CD that came with the camera
-- I think that the critical factor provided by the Sony software was the addition of an mpeg2 codec that Photoshop Elements 6 Organizer could then use.
I do want to emphasize that my solution may have been influenced by the specifics of my system: therefore, I can't be sure if it will resolve your problem.

  • No sound when playing video from iTunes on a Satellite M45

    Hi,
After trying to play a video from iTunes on a Toshiba Satellite M45, the entire sound system went out. I think there is something wrong with the sound drivers or it/they can't be detected. I'm new to the PC world and any help in easy-to-understand terms will be grateful. Is there any destinations where I can download a new driver.
I need to fend off the insanity that's creeping in. Thanks.
    Caden

    Hi
I think you should firstly check the device manager if there are any yellow exclamation marks near to the sound card.
If yes so the sound driver reinstallation could help.
It seems that the notebook was designed for the US market. (because of the 5 at the end of the number)
So I think you should take a look on the US Toshiba site for driver updates.

  • High pitched crackling and scraping sound when playing videos

I just got a video iPod, loaded a couple of TV shows that I bought through iTunes, and tried to play them. I get a loud, high pitched electronic crackling and scraping sound during playback. The music I louded plays perfectly, so what is the problem here?

Thanks. I'm planning to go there this morning. I just bought it yesterday, so they need to take care of it. I did try reloading the videos, but with the same result.

  • PSE13: no sound when playing AVCHD videos

In the PSE 13 Organizer I'm not getting any sound when playing AVCHD files:
These files play just fine in PSE12
These files play just fine in Premiere Elements 13 and 12
The files are from various cameras (Sony RX100M3, Sony and Panasonic camcorders)
Other video formats work fine (e.g., .wmv, .mov files from an iPhone, .avi etc)
Any ideas? A quick search indicates this problem has occurred occasionally over the last several years across various versions of PSE.
    Thanks

    Hi Anewsha
    I use .mts.
To clarify : The problem occurs in the organizer part, where sound
disappears after palying 30 seconds. I run a fairly powerful computer, Core
    i7, 16 G Memory with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750

    This solved my problem:
In IE, go to Internet Options from the Tools drop down.
    Click on Advanced.
    Scroll down to Multimedia.
Look for unchecked box for 'Play sounds in web page'
    Check the box.
Get out of settings and IE altogether.
Now try IE and see if it works.

  • No sound when playing DVD video

    Hi,
I have a K8T NEO2-FIR, Win XP pro. Basic system runs just fine. I have installed an LG DVD-ROM drive model GDR-8163B.  When I play a DVD video there is no sound at all.  On the other hand, there is sound when playing a music CD.  I am using the on-board sound (no additional sound card installed).
I must be missing something pretty basic.  Any guidance would be appreciated.

...sounds like you need to configure the DVD playing software (PowerDVD, WinDVD, WMP, etc.)...
