No sound when switching on, takes a few minutes, is there an obvious cause
When the battery has gone flat, once it has been charged, there is no sound or key clicks. Sound becomes available 10-20 minutes later.
Is there an obvious reason ?
This is a bug. It only seems to affect iPhone 4S users. Since you have an iPhone 4S, that must be that bug.

i purchased a year of adobe cc today. The screen came up to tell me it was processing my payment, not to hit the "back" button or refresh the page as it could take a few minutes. That was 7 hours ago. I contacted the help chat department and was told it would take 24 hours to process. Is this normal?? Why would the screen tell me "a few minutes" if it's actually 24 hours? I got the new iphone 5c and it wont work! Ive gotten to wifi settings on activating, now all it says is it may take a few minutes to activate your new iphone with the spinning ball and wont do anything! Its been like this all day! Help!!

We have recently installed Service Pack 4 In SharePoint 2003 I,e SPS 2.0 , we ran the stsadm upgrade command from the Command Prompt , since 5 days the upgrading the sites windows showing and does it completes or not or is there some thing wrong ?.

We have applied in development box it was completed in 8 hours , but when we do the same in production it was never coming back since 5 days. Not sure what happening

sounds to me like you're WELL past the recommendations, which could certainly cause such an impact.

I performed a software update and the system is installing an update but it has been running for over 24hrs and keeps saying "This may take a few minutes, don't shut down your computer" Can anyone help?
Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time. -

macbook pro mid2012 i7 (here is my e-mail adress : [email protected])You should take it to an Apple store or an AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) Carefully inspect the hinge joint and make sure there is no debris that you can see, you can try carefully sliding some sticky tape thru the joint to clear any loose stuff out. But this sounds like there might be more going on here, and the hinge is something that you do not want to fool with.

hi my girlfriend iphone 5 is switching off himself after few minutes of useing him.i charged him full then I install the newest softwer plus is after reset to the factory settings...its showing flat battery but was charging full???and still is switching off after some time.please help

Screen stuck on It may take a few minutes to activate your iphone
My iPhone 5S is screen stuck on the "It may take a few minutes to activate your iphone" screen. When I plug it into my computer, it is not recognized. When I plug it into the wall, it begins to charge the phone. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Problem solved! I had to go to the local Apple Store and they just restored it back to factory settings. Then just used my backup from iCloud to put it back just how it was. Thanks for your input!

After upgrading to Lion, I went to open Mail and received the message that it needed to upgrade my Mail database - this may take a few minutes. The bar shows it is about 1/5 along and has been there for over 10 hours.
I tried quitting and starting again but it just jumps back to the same spot.It is quite large, but I have tried two of the fixes suggested and things now seem to be moving along.
(I was unable to seach properly before which is why I posted the question - it was a bit of a panic) -

It's likely network related, have you checked your internet download speed (speedtest.net) or tried anything to eliminate interference on you local network. -

Are you a developer? If so, post this question in the developer forum. If not, why are you using a beta version of ios 7? You need to restore your device as NEW in itunes and update the current software version.

That means the person you are playing doesn't have the app on their phone!! And they can only play on the PC?
How about asking the person your playing if they have the app or not.

when using the Cyclops speed camera app the sound on my iPhone 4s switches off after a short while. If I close the app and reopen it, there's still no sound. If I restar the phone and open Cyclops I get sound "welcome to Cyclops" or whatever the greeting is. Has anyone got any ideas?
I've taken several Express devices apart in the past to experiment with them. The internal components warm up quite a bit in the first 10-15 seconds. They continue to heat up after this. It takes 3-4 minutes or so before the heat transfers to the outer case for dissipation.
Nothing is certain, but I'm 95% sure that this is your issue. But, trying to find a microscopic break in a circuit board trace is, as I mentioned, a real longshot. If you have the time and have done things like this before, it might be worth a shot.
I guess the bottom line is that even if this is not the issue, the device will still need to be replaced since Apple does not offer repairs. There are no software or firmware fixes for somthing like this.
