No Special Charaters in SMARTFORM

Hello,
My name is Oscar i'm from Portugal and i have the following problem,
My Smartforms can´t display the special characters like "Ç" or "È" or "Á" in Portuguese
After i did a undo of a supplementation of the Portuguese Language in English.
I've already searh in this forum, but all i can found, it's for only one special character at each time.
can you help me?

Problem printing Special Characters in Smartform

Hi,
I am developing a Smartform for Position Description. For that I have to display data from table HRT1002 as the data in this table is stored using Text Editor the data internally is stored in '#' when there is a enter, space or some special Characters. While displaying this data I have used class CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES -->HORIZONTAL_TAB to make '#' to it original value in my internal table.
After using the Class the data has been converted into the correct format, but while printing few special characters like ", ' , .. etc are been printed as # where as in my internal table they are not in # format. How can I change the # to it original Character while printing.

In Text Element,click Txt editor icon on the left side in General attributes.Then in the menu Include->Characters->Displayable Characters and then select the characters.
To display Special characters in Smartforms ...
goto text editor of the perticular text node.
in the text editor, Click INSERT - Characters - Displayable Characters.
a new window will open showing all characters...if ur required character is not
present, click on non-dispalyble character button , it displays all the characters
and their respective numbers...select ur required character .

XML conversion for special charaters & , , etc..

Hi ,
I'm trying to generate a XML file to send the sales order details , in the when ever there are special charaters like & < etc..
it's getting converted to & LT; etc...
I'm using IF_IXML interface and create_text method to convert the text in R/3 to XML.
Any idea how to over come this?

Hello Raghavendra,
You can use identical transformation which is easy and will convert all the special chars while creating xml file.
CALL TRANSFORMATION ID
SOURCE ITAB = ITAB[]
RESULT XML XML_STRING.
Here xml_string will contain full xml file with all conversion taken care.
You can refer to SAP help on identical transformation.

Special Charaters in oracle

hi all,
how to find special charaters in the records,
when my query im getting 2 records, but usally it should not happen.
select *
from mtl_categories_b
where segment1 = 'RTMEXX'
and segment2 = 'C01'
and segment3 = '1001';
if i select the stmt gettining 2records.
from this select i need to find any special charaters.
please help me

Can you please let me know how to print "číslo" in Smartform output as it is getting printed as "císlo". I mean to say that special character "č" is getting printed as "c".
Even I checkd the same in Slovakian language and same thing is happening.

BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB- Entries with special charaters afetr unicode upgrade

Hi,
We are on SRM 5.0 (SRM_SERVER 550) Sp07. SAp 4.7 backend.
We are upgrading the system to unicode.
What we have observed is after PO creation the BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB has some special characters in the field 'Key'
For example:
BUS2121001##䟅㳤탇ᾣᾣઃ????#?? ######## 01############################
In the non unicode system the entry reads like below
BUS2121001GAEp#?g8Ia#####o# ################ 01###########
This does not cause problems in most of the SRM systems, but in one of the systems, the Clean_reqreq_up job is failing with a message 'Buffer table not up to date'. We are not sure if this is due to the entries in BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB which have special characters or not.
Can someone please explain the impact/risk of such entries in BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB. Is this a known issue. is there any solution for this?

Special charaters " and ' not working SGD 4.61.915

We have troubles with the special character " and ' (same key) in SGD 4.61.915.
We use the US-International keyboard setting.
Is this a known bug?

Same problem here, strange thing is when using Mac both charaters work, but not when using Windows.

When we print it the, 'M3' is correctly displayed.
But when we archive it (so document saved as PDF), in the document
a blank is displayed instead if the little 3.
If I print this PDF
Is there someone who had the same problem ??
What is the cause ??

Textnode: does not show special charaters correctly

To use special characters in Shake 4.1 u have to use hex-codes. This works with the font Utopia.
If I need a "ä" (auml) I need type in the following: \xE4 which gives me the correct sign - in Utopia! If I change the font to Verdana, 0/00 (permille ?).
I could not find a working hex-code table. Any idea?

can you please provide information which SW version you are using, and also the product code of the phones you are using (product code can be found from phones type label sticker under that battery, it's "Code: xxxxxxx"). With these information R&D is able to test the problem efficiently.

Special Character in Smartforms

I need to display "u20AC" before the amount field in the smartforms. But the problem the u20AC is not present in the displayable characters in the text, and is also not present in the non-displayable characters in the text. Pls let me know how to print the symbol u20AC - if i am directly copying and pasting it then i am getting the error - " The input field contains prohibited characters (already deleted) "/ Pls help me in overcoming this problem'

How do I get around special charaters in supplied XML

I'm writting an application for displaying the yahoo weather
info. The issue is that they label their elements like below.
<yweather:location city="Mission Viejo" region="CA"
country="US" />
notice the label is "yweather:location" which screws up flash
when making the connection since the : means something else to
flash. Is there anything I can do when setting up the scheme to
allow for the : since i'm not going to get yahoo to change the way
they supply the XML.
Any help to make this work.

Do special charaters in address title pose issue with published pages?

I have published my site to michaelblatchford.com. All the pages work properly except for my Resumé page. When the link to the Resumé page is followed from any other page, I get the Server Error 404: File not Found. I went and changed my Resumé to Resume (without the accent mark) for a file path of michaelblatchford.com/Resume and part of the page shows up. I have republished and uploaded my site on multiple occasions but I can't get the Resumé page up. Is the accent mark messing things up?

SMARTFORM problems with special characters

only to know if somebody knows how to fix a problem printing special characters in a smartform, instead of some characters the smartform display (Print preview) and prints interrogative symbols <b>"?"</b>.

Declare a range which includes all the possible special characters and then compare the field with this range and replace the special characters with 'Z'.
Q4-SIGN = 'I'.
Q4-OPTION = 'EQ'.
Q4-LOW = '%'.
APPEND Q4.
Q4-LOW = '$'.
APPEND Q4.
Q4-LOW = '^'.
APPEND Q4.
use CA keyword and replace all the special character occurences which falls in the declared range with the character you want ie. 'Z'.

Smartforms in Landscape mode not working on page two

Hi Everybody,
I am facing a rather special issue with Smartforms about Landscape printing and I'm out of solution. I've looked at other threads but I cannot find the correct solution to my issue.
I defined only 1 page in my form. It is set with DINA4 and Landscape orientation. The printing works fine for the first page but when my report has a second page it is printed in Portrait mode. The print preview displays all pages in Landscape but when they are physically printed, the second page is Portrait.
I manually calculate the number of lines to print in a loop and change page with a Command Node. Before starting printing each page I execute a Command Node to force the Landscape orientation (SLAND).
I use the LOCL printer to print my report.
Is there any other set up to do? In SPAD, in the ABAP program or physically on the printer or else?

Thank you for your answer and sorry for the late reply but it took a while to find the exact problem and implement it in productive system.
The problem was related the LOCL printer definition in SPAD but it was linked to "Host Spool Access Method" parameter.
It was set to "Print on Front End Computer (F)" but this value is not supported by SAP anymore. We had to set it to "Front End Printing with Control Tech. (G)".
The reports are now printed in Landscape orientation correctly.
