No status messages for any components after 2012 SP1 upgrade

Hi, after a recent upgrade to 2012 SP1 two of my sites no longer show any status messages in monitoring. All the services seem fine, I can distribute and deploy packages to clients, run queries etc.
All other sites are now fine, the difference is the working sites are on 2008 R2 or 2012 and the trouble sites are on 2008 Storage Server SP1. So obviously close at hand to assume the Site Server OS is somehow the culprit.
SP2 is installed on all sites for SQL Server 2008 R2, servers have been restarted.

There we go!
So sender.log had these:
There is no existing connection, Win32 error = 7054
and
Error during connection to \\primaryserver.domain.local\SMS_SITE (7054).
As mentioned already, I already verified the secondary site computer accounts were in the SMS_SiteToSiteConnection_XX1
on the primary site server. But I added my main SCCM service account there as well and under Administration\Hierarchy Configuration\File Replication I changed the File Replication Account from the computer account to the service account and the status messages
are now transfered and appearing in the Status Message Viewer.
I don't really care why the computer account wouldn't work, I'm just going to leave it like this, the 2008 Storage Servers
are due to be replaced or upgraded this year anyway.
Thanks Juke and everyone else!

  • Applications don't install from OSD after 2012 SP1 upgrade

    After upgrading SCCM 2012 RTM to SP1, then to CU3 (to fix a PXE issue), my OSD task sequences no longer installs any applications after the OS.  Win7 installs with all drivers, the PC is added to the domain and the correct ConfgMgr client version is installed
    with a healthy connection to SCCM.
    However the C:\_SMSTaskSequence folder remains with the 7GB WIM file and none of the 12x applications installed.  A task sequence with the applications works when run from Software Centre.
    Here's a link to the logs:
    https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=F6A8637E6F70F676%21110
    EDIT: Removed paste of smsts.log file.  Added Skydrive link.

    Thanks for checking it out.  Those errors are old entries from a year ago.  Not sure why they are still there; current issue date is 14-01-2014.  Network Access account is set and permissions are correct.
    The TS logs look fine up to after installing the ConfigMgr client.  It then kicks off TSMBootStrap.exe:
    ==============================[ TSMBootStrap.exe ]==============================
    Command line: "C:\Windows\CCM\TSMBootstrap.exe" /env:Gina /configpath:C:\_SMSTaskSequence /bootcount:1
    Logging successfully initialized.
    Resuming Task Sequence in Full OS
    It then logs a whole bunch of:
    Failed to open key Software\Microsoft\SMS\47006C006F00......  \SMSTS
    then ends it with Exiting with return code 0x80070002 which is:
    "The system cannot find the file specified."
    And that's the end of the TS.  I need to find out what file it's referring to.  TSMBootStrap.exe exists in the correct path.

  • How sent message for any manager in Nokia ????

    Hi All,
    I want sent message for any manager in Nokia , because of I facing a long suffering of Nokia .

    Everything depends on what you wish to speak to a manager about. If  you are having issues with the service provided by Nokia Care in your country, whether that is the Nokia Care contact centre or a Nokia retailer or Care Point, then the local contact centre can advise you how to deal with your issue. In some countries, the contact centres have a department specifically to help you resolve your issue; and in some countries there are separate numbers to call in order to deal with issues or complaints. If you have already been through this process and are not satisfied with the result, you can contact the head office of Nokia in your country or region.
    The link below takes you to a page where you can find lists of Nokia offices for all countries where Nokia has a presence:
    http://www.nokia.com/about-nokia/contacts/nokia-offices
    Be aware that "Manager" is a very loose term, Nokia is a huge multinational corporation with large numbers of staff in a variety of rôles, and therefore there are many different types of manager with responsibility for different areas of the business, so it is important that your concerns about Nokia Care are addressed to the right personnel, which is why you are best to start with the Nokia Care line for your country, they are the main point of contact for all customer queries. Be aware that a letter sent to the wrong place may take a long time to reach the right people, and therefore does not help your cause.

  • Last Status Update in Distribution Point Configuration Status after 2012 R2 Upgrade not updating

    I am having the oddest problem, and I was wondering if anyone had some pointers or knows how I can get this working. After I upgraded from
    2012 SP1 CU3 to 2012 R2, the status update date on the DP config status will not update at all, even though under each DP it is updating? I can still push content to them, but instead of getting a % of transfer that is complete I get the generic 'Detail will
    be available after the server finishes processing the messages'. I have tried to remove and re add the DP role to the DP's and am met with the same problem. I am assuming it's something is SQL but where to begin to look I have no idea.

    Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up.
    Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?
    BTW I find that most of these type of things take ~ 24 hours to update.

  • Status Message for ABAP Program

    Hello Gurus,
    I have an internal table. I placed the contents of the internal table on the application server using executable program. Everything works fine.
    When I execute the program, the selection screen appears and after I give the inputs and execute again, the file is placed on the application screen and the screen is back to the abap code from selection screen.
    I want a status message at the bottom indicating that the file was placed in the application server successfully. If it fails then I need the failure message that the file was not placed.
    Please help me out how I can get these messages when I execute my program and where I need to place this code in my program.
    Regards,
    Balu

    Hi,
    You would be using OPEN DATASET, to transfer the internal table contents to Application Server file.So check sy-subrc.
    OPEN DATASET.....
    <b>IF sy-subrc eq 0.</b>
    loop at itab.
    transfer itab....
    endloop.
    Close Dataset.
    Message 'File successfully saved!'.
    <b>else.</b>
    Message 'Error in saving the file !'.
    <b>endif.</b>
    Best regards,
    Prashant

  • I have selected 'Show on edit details page' for the property 'Status Message' for the User Profile Service, yet i do not see the property.

    I would like to have the ability for the user to edit the property 'Status Message'.  In the properties it says that it should be available in the details section however I am not seeing it there.  Does anyone know if I might have something set
    incorrectly or is this expected behavior.

  • Production version with status " locked for any use" being considered

    Dear All,
    while creating integration model for PDS , materials with production version locked for any use are being considered. Can any body put some light on it.
    My requirement is that in creation of integration model it should not take production version which are locked for use.
    Regards
    Arun Negi

    Check OSS Note 854561 - PDS does not recognize any locked production version in R/3
    "Symptom
    If a production version is locked in the R/3 System, this change is not transferred to the related production data structure (PDS) in APO. The PDS is therefore still used as a source in APO in the plan explosion. This causes errors during planning and results in terminations when an order is converted and subsequently transferred to the R/3 system."

  • Turn off status messages for all queries in RSRT

    Hi Gurus,
    I got some help on this issue in a previous question, but I ended up having to fix more queries than I expected.
    Is there a way to turn off the messages for all queries in the system through transaction RSRT?   Right now I'm doing it one query at a time.

    Hi,
    Go to Transaction RSRT, then enter SUPPR_ALL in the tcode box again and hit enter. This brings up the maintain messages screen and it suppress the messages globally

  • SCOM 2012 SP1 Upgrade - RMS fine but can't upgrade reporting or web console

    Hi,
    We've just upgraded our RMS to SCOM 2012 SP1 and everything went smoothly as per the documentation. However when I next try to upgrade the Reporting or Web Consoles (located on separate servers) to SP1 I am presented with a message saying:
    "The management server to which this component reports has not been upgraded".
    At that point we cannot proceed past the prerequisite checker.
    I am totally confident that the SP1 upgrade went through on the RMS and all file versions are at SP1.
    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi Retee,
    I was not able to find a fix for this but I did find a workaround.
    1.  I copied the installation files from the SCOM 2012 SP1 DVD/ISO to a folder, SCOM_2012_INSTALL on the reporting server.
    2.  Browsed to the following folder ..\SCOM_2012_INSTALL\setup\AMD64\ and commented out the following section of the IntermilestoneUpgradePrereqs.xml file:
      <!-- <Check Order="210">
        <Id>4AB9384E-45B6-4E72-AFC8-596EC7E5ED3C</Id>

          <Component>OMREPORTING</Component>
        </Components>
        <Title>MgmtServerUpgradedTitle</Title>
        <PassedDescription>MgmtServerUpgradedPassed</PassedDescription>
        <FailedDescription>MgmtServerUpgradedFailed</FailedDescription>
        <Resolution>MgmtServerUpgradedResolution</Resolution>
        <LogicDelegates>
          <LogicDelegate LogicType="and"
                         DelegateId="MgmtServerUpgradedCheck"
                         DelegateNameSpace="Microsoft.SystemCenter.Essentials.SetupFramework.HelperClasses.OMPrequisiteChecks,SetupChainerUI"
                         DelegateName="ManagementServerAlreadyUpgradedCheck" />
        </LogicDelegates>
      </Check>  -->
    3.  Ran ..\SCOM_2012_INSTALL\setup.exe and the upgrade was successful.
    Our SCOM infrastructure has now been at 2012 R2 for a couple of months and I have not seen any issues caused by commenting out this section.  But as always, use at your own risk.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Iain

  • SCOM 2012 SP1 Upgrade

    Hello,
    I have a SCOM 2007 R2 CU7 server that I upgraded to SCOM 2012.  I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2.  I tried twice to upgrade it to SCOM 2012 SP1 and it failed both times.  In the OpsMgrSetupWizard.log file,
    I see this error:

    After both failed upgrades, I had to re-install SCOM 2007.  How can I get the upgrade to complete?  The prerequisites have been installed.

    So try to change the SQL database Compatibility Level to SQL 2008 (100):
    1. Open SQL Server Management Studio
    2. Connect to the SQL server hosting the Operations Manager Databases
    3. Expand Databases, Right Click on OperationsManager and click properties
    4. Click Options, Change the Compatibility level: drop down to SQL Server 2008 (100), Click OK
    5. Right Click on OperationsManagerDW and click properties, Click Options
    6. Change the Compatibility level: drop down to SQL Server 2008 (100), Click OK

  • 2012 SP1 Upgrade + CU3

    I am about to undertake the RTM to SP1 upgrade in a 2012 Hiearchy (multiple primaries).
    I am well versed in the "Central first, primaries next" philosophy, but when should I upgrade to CU4.  Should I complete the entire site upgrade to SP1, then go back and install CU4 on each server later (after the servers have quieted down)?
    Or should i do SP1 install then CU4 immediately.
    Looking for advice!
    Thanks!

    The one thing you should be aware of is that 2012 R2 does not include all the hotfixes included in SP1 CU3 or CU4 - it has some but not all. Dev for R2 was closed before the CUs were released.
    The moral of the story is - is there something specific you are trying to fix?

    09:08:02:***ERROR*** Microsoft System Center 2012 - Service Manager: Microsoft System Center 2012 - Service Manager is not in a valid state.
    09:08:02:Application Ended
    09:08:02:-222
    Can someone tell me how to get this rectified? The WCS portal is installed and running and has been for months. The DW is upgraded but I cannot get the SharePoint self service portal or the App server to upgrade due to this error.

    Hello
    One question you have the website installed on the same
    server on which you have the Server Management
    Server, so if you can
    not make your upgrade to
    SP1, this changed because
    a prerequisite of System Center Service
    Manager 2012 SP1 in which you can not have
    the server Mangement and
    website on the same server they have to be
    separate.

  • No specific exceptions in standard ExchangeFaultData message for any ES?

    Hi,
    I am trying to implement various enterprise services in ERP backend, but whenever a service return one or more exceptions, I always get an empty exception message. Eg:
    <n0:ExchangeFaultData xmlns:n0="http://sap.com/xi/SRM/SE/Global" xmlns:prx="urn:sap.com:proxy:SRA:/1SAI/TAS570F727BD12E0D378A86:701:2008/06/06">
    <standard>
      <faultText />
      </standard>
      </n0:ExchangeFaultData>
    If I debug the method I can see that several exceptions are raised and specified in diverse structures, but for some reason these aren't converted into the standard fault message type for the ES. I suspect that I am missing some simple configuration.
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks,
    Emil

    Hi,
    This could be the problem of confilting namespace or combinations.
    in receive action just check that right message interface is configured at Inbound side.
    just check any place void ?
    1)just check the name as case sensitive.
    2)Just check is there interface belongs to right software component.
    3)Just check mapping assigned to the right combination or not.
    its better to cross check all the component are assigned to right place or not.
