No stock backdrop images

When I try to change the backdrop there are only grey boxes instead of the stock images I'm told are available. The other distorted views are available, just no stock backgrounds.

  • Stock Theme Images

Is there any way to change the stock images in the Road Trip theme? I've seen it mentioned before, but I have not seen an answer.

Sorry, I might have not been clear in my earlier post...I am already using QC and have installed all the standard dev tools, but I can not figure out how to extract the background images that are contained within the .qtz packages.
Example: I have opened the "bumper.qtz" file for the Roadtrip theme. Once inside QC I have been able to isolate the background images in the Full Comp section under the Hierarchy but there doesn't seem to be a way to locate the image itself. You can view the image if you hover the mouse over the specific line in that section of the browser but there doesn't seem to be a way to copy that image or open in it from where it is being pulled from originally. If someone knows how to open these images it would greatly help me.
This method of editing would seem to be the first step for everyone being able to make their own themes without having to alter too much in QC. By changing the background images using photoshop or another program and then replacing them, you could basically keep the rest of the information in tact and the functionality such as the drop zones and the camera movements would be the same. Or I might be totally off base and smoking crack thinking it would be that easy.
Any ideas or documentation that would point me in the right direction on how to access, edit and replace those images would be helpful though.

  • How to Replace Stock PNG Images?

    Hi.
After I published my first app, I've updated it a few weeks later and I got certification error. I've check the rules and there was a warning about stock PNG files like icon, splashscreen bla bla (I can't remember).
I've deleted them all. Sent the app again. Certification succeeded. And I was like "it's OK people will dowload new version" but...
Lots of people told me that they take 80073cf6 error while they try to install/update my app. Even I tried with 3 phones and failed. Searched online about this error and ran into this topic:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/4417f1aa-0d46-416c-be96-4959a8811fad/my-apps-cant-be-installed-any-more-error-80073cf6?forum=winphoneosissues
This is exactly what I did. I removed the images and certification did not tell me anything this mistake. Whatever...
The real question is, how can I get rid of this file if I do not need them? If I can't - or must not - delete these images, how can I replace them? With what? Because in my tests, I've never seen that stock images. What are they? Where WP uses this images?
Do they have to remain in same name or else?
    Waiting for your help.

The pictures can be replaced either through windows explorer (same size, same name) by overwriting them.
Or from appxmanifest or wmaappmanifest files from your project.
Or by adding new pictures with same name and same size from the solution explorer, in the same folder (which is equivalent to replacing with windows explorer)
PS: you do need them. They are used by the OS for display in app list, tiles, etc, which is why removing them makes installing your app rather difficult.

  • Stock Photo Images

    Hey there everyone,
I am building a course in Captivate for training purposes for
my company and my customers. I have some stock photos of a woman in
different poses, and a man in different poses. My problem is that I
dont have very many poses to choose from. Is there a place I could
get some stock photos that have a large variety of the same person
    in different poses?

Hi, and welcome to the community!
A tall order. The best I can offer is the Captivate User
    Exchange.
    It
is located right here. If you scroll through it, a wonderful
lady named Silke ((Sil-ka*) Fleisher posted some male and female
images that will work, I think. But beyond, that, all I can say is
*google* and good luck. Sorry I don't have better new to offer.

  • Need to A1000-F Stock Firmware Image

    Hi...
I need the Lenovo A1000-F IdeaPad 16G Stock Firmware to reflash it.
please dont say "go to service center or etc" we have no service center in here.
please give me a download link with all stuff need to flash it.
    thanls a lot

When we got our first batch of Surface Pro 3s, we could not get them to PXE. We were working with Microsoft to find a solution when by chance, a colleague of mine set one up to update automatically and it was left on the network long enough to download and
install the updates (including the first firmware update.) After the first firmware update was applied, suddenly we were able to PXE the machine, and if we followed the process of manually updating the SP3 first, then we could reproduce the results and were
able to PXE. Thankfully we only ordered 10 i5s.
Since then we have received our first batch of i7s and these seem to not have the same issue. Since they were built later, I'm assuming the firmware is more up to date. That's not to say that we aren't having a significant amount of other issues with the
devices, but at least now (for the most part) we can PXE consistently.

  • Help - problem with save for web when jpg image is placed in file

I have a jpg image that I placed in my Illustrator 5 file to use as a backdrop and then created several vector buttons on top.  When I attempt to create an arboard around a single button and then save for web, it ignores the artboard dimensions and shows the entire jpg dimensions.  If I create the same file without the jpg backdrop image, I am able to use the artboards to save just a single button.  Any time I place a jpg image in my Illustrator file and attempt to use the artboards, the artboards are ignored and the entire area of the jpg is saved.  I am able to use the slice tool to do the saving, but I prefer to use the artboards.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the artboards to work when a jpg is placed in the file?  Thanks.

    THANK YOU!!!
It says, "Clip to artboard".  I wasn't sure what clip meant, but that was it!  Thank you.

  • Stock Photo Websites

I just wanted to get a consensus on the most common/best stock photo websites that designers here use? I work for a magazine publisher, and I want to know where most of you guys go to get stock vector images or stock photos. Much thanks for any help!

  • Missing Desktop Images Folder from Library

I just went to switch my desktop image to one of the standard apple images in the in Desktop Preferences option and I have come to find that none of the stock desktop images that are installed with OS X are in this option anymore. Upon further inspection I have come to find that the Desktop Images or Desktop Wallpapers folder does not exist in the Library folder.
Anyone know a way I can regain that folder and those images without having to start from scratch?
    13 inch Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

No wallflower on a Mac. It's Desktop Pictures. Download Pacifist (free trial), pop in your Tiger install disk, launch Pacifist, select the install disk, then search for Desktop Pictures, and extract it to the Desktop. Put it in /Library/, restart, and you should be good to go.

  • Managing 100,000+ images

I have 50,000 of my own images, plus 50,000 stock shot images on CDs that I've purchased.
What's the best way to organize these so that I can easily work with just the stock shots or just my own images?
    Thanks,
    Michael

Once you go above 100K images you'll find you have problems querying the whole library. Smart Albums and any filters work on folder structures that have less than 100K images beneath them, but fail once they try to query 100K+ images.
    So, two options:
Two separate libraries with each collection.
    or
One library with a couple of parent folders - one folder containing a sub-heirarchy of your own stuff, and the other a hierarchy of the stock shots.
Either way, you can't run a single query/smart album across the whole lot .
Hope they fix the feature soon. (It's a deliberate bug/feature, not an inherant one as the * rating filters still work on 100K+ !).

  • CS3. Ugrading to OS 10.6, I also lost preview of images in Photoshop

    CS3, OS 10.6, Mac
In upgrading to 10.6 on Mac, I also lost the ability to preview images in Photoshop. So when I go to Open and choose a folder, I have to know what each stock photo image # means as I no longer have the image showing up like it used to.
How do I get back to normal on that? Thanks!!!

Hi. Thank you. That kind of works but what I was looking for was where you had the list on the L and then in the column to the right, it showed the images so you knew what each number was for. So if you clicked on a number, you could see what that image was. Thanks again!

  • Why do tumbnails of RAW images no longer display?

Just got a new camera (Sony a77) and when I took test shots and downloaded them to my computer, the tumbnails do not appear in CS3 Bridge?  Only as the stock RAW image.  My system is Mac OS X 10.5.8.  I also downloaded the included Sony CD Image Data Converter.  The thumbnail display was the same before and after I downloaded the IDC and when I right click on the tumbnail it is no longer an option for me to 'Open with Camera RAW'. I want it back-I need help!! and quickly!

The free Adobe DNG Converter is a stand-alone application that you need to install, then launch and run it just like you would any other application (like Photoshop itself) on each batch of Sony raw files you need to convert.  It will then generate DNG raw files (DN = digital negative) as copies, leaving your Sony raw files untouched.  You can then open them in your current Photoshop and ACR combination.
DNG files have been supported ever since Photoshop CS (that's Photoshop 8 a.k.a. Photoshop CS1) and ACR 2.4.
    Remember:
Download the free, Adobe DNG Converter 8.3 (NOT higher, or it won't run in your Mac OSX  Leopard 10.5.8).
On the other hand, if your client demands raw files, then why not give the client your Sony raw files?  Maybe you and/or your client are under a misconception as to the nature of raw files.
If this is a one-time situation, you could download a free, current, 30-day trial copy of Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop CC just for this one job.  But if the client wants unedited, true RAW files, I don't see the point.
Incidentally, the files are generated by the application you're using at any one time to view or browse the raw files, they are not embedded in the raw files themselves.

  • Best way to combine 8-bit and 16-bit image files?

I produce large photographic art prints by combining my own edited 16-bit RAW photo images with 8-bit stock photo images and 8-bit photoshop artwork. I used to just reduce my 16-bit photos to 8-bit and then edit my composite image as 8-bit, but I ran into banding and other problems in the color gradients I created later in my composite image.
I want my composite image to be 16-bit to get more accurate colors and better gradients. What is the best way to bring 8-bit image files into my composition and maintain best quality? Is it good to convert 8-bit images to 16-bit in PS before importing? I also heard about bringing 8-bit images in as Smart Objects? Thanks for any help on this.

    *Photonic wrote:
Thanks Jack and Noel. My workflow usually starts w. a 16-bit RAW image brought into Photoshop as the background layer of the master file. Color space is AdobeRGB. Then 8-bit stock photo and art elements (objects) are brought in by dragging the open 8-bit image up to the master image file tab, and then dropping it back into the image window after the file opens.
Should I use the "Paste In" command instead? I usually avoid copy/paste since some of my element files are usually over 100MB and that seems to challenge my Mac after a while.
Could I convert the 8-bit image files prior to import, like Noel suggests (Image>Mode>16bits)?  Thanks.
There is no need to convert 8bit open documents to 16bit mode Photoshop will convert the copied layers to 16bit bit during the drag copy.  Converting the open document would just increase Photoshop RAM usage every layer pixels bytes used  would double in size.
If you element files are over 100MB they are most likely layered files.  If all you need is a composite you should avoid using Place for that will needlessly inflate your document size. Instead open the element file create a new layer that is a stamp visible layer (Shift+Alt|Opt+Ctrl|Cmd+E) and drag that layer to you document then close nosave your element file. Copy only copies the targeted layer or there is a Copy Merge that copies the composit merge of all targeted layers. It a bit hard to create an action that would be able to use Copy or Copy Merge. Using the above stamp visible way can be made into an action. You also do not want to drag all the layers to your document if you just need a composit layer.
You could also automate the element file copy with an action.
Action Step 1 Insert menu into File>Open this will be an interactive step you must select a file to open. When the action is played.
Step 2 (Shift+Alt|Opt+Ctrl|Cmd+N) Create a new empty layer This will always work
Step 3 (Shift+Alt|Opt+Ctrl|Cmd+E) stamp visible layers into the new layer
    Step 4 (Ctrl|Cmd+A) select all
    Step 5 (Ctrl|Cmd+C) Copy
Step 6 Close current document no save
Step 7 (Ctrl|Cmd+P) Paste into the document your working on Photoshop will convert to 16bit if the document is 16bit mode and the clipboard content is 8bit.
When you use Photoshop and do something.  Think to yourself how did Photoshop do what you asked it to do. Thing about what is involved what layers must be used etc. How is the feature/function done.

  • Making a low opacity compound path in a stock vector 100% opacity

    Hi,
I recently purchased a stock vector image. One of the compound paths in it has what looks like a lowered opacity on it to create the appearance of a reflection for a skyline. However, even when I release the compound path, the opacity is not lowered on the slider scale and therefore can't be raised. I'd like to be able to make it a true 100% opacity but can't seem to get that control of it. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? Attached is a jpeg of it so you can get a sense. Thanks!

  • Transformer une video en fichiers images

    Bonjour,

  • Need help with something...

Hey guys, need some help with this, try to keep up with me here...
I opened up illustrator cs4 and drew individual items (three items) and drew all three on one artboard and saved it as a standard .AI file.
On each of the three items, one at a time I used the selection tool and selected each one and went to Edit>Copy in Illustrator.
Opened photoshop cs4 and set up a new blank document letter size, in photoshop cs4 went to Edit>Paste and I pasted each item as pixels into photoshop. Keep in mind that each of these individual items I have pasted are obviously vector images. After placing the Illustrator files (that are now pixels in photoshop) I saved everything as .TIFF format in photoshop.
Opened up InDesign and opened the TIFF file I just saved and placed it in InDesign as a TIFF file (raster).
My question is a format question, now that I have images that I drew from Illustrator in a Photoshop TIFF file that has been put into InDesign, if I sent this to a printer would it print properly as I see it now? I ask this because I know in the past you guys have said that vector will not print unless it is in Adobe PDF. Did I do this right or should I have saved the three Illustrator images separately as Adobe PDF files and just placed them as individual objects in InDesign?

I remember Jongware, it's come in handy!
Peter, I think bridging these files from one program to another just confuses me. What I guess I was thinking was I could create the single files in Illustrator and drop them as pixels into photoshop because then I could impose them in front of my backdrop (I created a backdrop with other images in photoshop) and thought it would be easier to just save it all as a TIFF file and place it in InDesign. So when I copied/pasted from Illustrator into photoshop, when I chose place as pixels it rasterized a vector image am I thinking right? Truthfully, I just don't know what I'm doing and trying to do it out of convenience. The end result I always try to do is make sure it shows up right in print with no less than 180 resolution because its' hard to find stock photos on the web without a watermark or decent resolution.
Eugene, I knew that Jongware and a couple others mentioned the Adobe PDF format from Illustrator but I couldn't remember if .AI format would work or not. I know in the end you just end up converting everything to PDF.
The way I was taught in school was in the simplest of terms, create custom art in Illustrator (when applicable), alter/enhance stock raster images in photoshop, and then you finish up and place/format in InDesign. My biggest problems really are understanding what format belongs where and when for print and I can't seem to find high resolution pics that work well in my documents, get them as JPEGs in google images.
Anyways, thanks again guys! Still learning, thanks for putting up with me!
