No subject emails

This is not an iphone specific issue as it happens on my iPad as well.
If I send an email that does not contain a subject, once the person replies to me and I reply back, the subject is now "Re: RE:"
This does not happen using mail on Android devices, so I'm assuming it's not an ActiveSync issue, it's more an Apple Mail issue. Is there a setting or someway to stop this?
I have a habit of sending emails with no subjects.

You said: "They appear like this on my actuall hotmail account also ". If this means that you say the same thing when you view your account via webmail then I would say it is a HotMail problem not a iPod problem. If it is iPod problem:
- Have you tried resetting your iPod:
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the
Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- How about deleting and reentering all the information for the HotMail account.

  • Email PO - Has anyone configured the Company Name in the Subject Email?

    Hi experts,
I have configured the following in the subject of the email for all of our PO's being sent via email.
    PO  &EKKO-EBELN& - &EKKO-BUKRS&
This shows the PO Number and the Company Code in the subject line.  My clients do not want the Company Code to go into the subject becuase it is meaningless to our vendors / suppliers.  I need to find out how I can add the company name into the subject.
NOTE:  We have more than 1/2 dozen company names.
    Thanks

    hi
pass the company code to the company code table get the description and pass on to a local variable from there display in subject email.

  • HT5244 My email sent out no subject emails with links. Is that part of Flashback malware or something else? Help how do I stop it

My email sent out no subject emails with links attached is this a symptom of a flashback malware.

Not unless they're doing something new with it. If your OS is completely up-to-date, you need not worry about Flashback in any case.

  • No Sender/No Subject Emails on Email Account?

Hello All, this is my first post on the community forum,
Firstly, i am aware that this question has been asked numerous times, after searching through the forum, but after attempting several of the possible work around's for this problem it still exists, so i would appreciate an answer to my query if possible.
For the last few days whenever i attempt to download my emails through the mail app on my iPhone 5S (software version 8.1.2 (12b440), i receive several No Sender, No Subject emails which date back to 1969!! I have attempted to restart my iPhone and have also deleted the email account in question (it only affects my live.co.uk email address) but this is still happening. At first i thought my email had been hacked!
Please can somebody shed some light on this, why does this happen? Why hasn't the bug been fixed yet? Is there anything else i can do apart from switching off my iPhone or deleting the account? Any suggestions are welcome!
    thank you in advance,
    JDC83

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app via the taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Email alerts based on Sender/Subject/Email account

The one thing that keeps me from switching to an iPhone is that the iPhone apparently has no facility to sound different alerts for incoming emails based on email sender/subject or the account that the email arrived in (and possibly also importance flags).
On my Nokia N97 the ProfiMail IMAP client supports this, and it is important as I can just from the sound determine if the email is something I need to look at immediately, or can ignore for a while.
I know there is a MailTunes service, but that requires all mail to be forwarded to a service somewhere in the cloud, which is a no-no for several reasons, including privacy/confidentiality concerns and reliability concerns.

There isn't a way of doing this currently. If you want to tell Apple, try

  • Turn off the subject & email print feature

I'm using Windows Vista and a wireless HP Photosmart 6510 printer. When I use eprint to print a photo it prints the photo and then prints, using the letter size bond, the email and/or email subject line. The problem is that I'm not only wasting paper, it lands on and messes up the wet photo? How do I turn off this feature?
    This question was solved.

That's what I was talking about with the signature line in emails from phones. For example, when using an iPhone it says "Sent from my iPhone". There should be an option in your phone under the mail settings to change the signature. If you clear it out completely, that should take care of everything for you.

  • Email in box is filling with no subject, undeleteable email, only on iPad.

In the past 2 weeks my email in box if filling with dozens of no subject emails, many dated 1969. They will not delete and they don't show on iPhone or on my Mac. Any ideas to rectify?

    Two options:
    1.  Reboot your iPad:  Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider) until the Apple Logo appears.  Then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  If that doesn't work.......
    2.  Delete the email box from your iPad.  Then reinstall it.
I have seen one or both suggestions offer relief from this issue.

  • Can't insert email address into subject of SCEP request

According to the SCEP payload rules here: http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#featuredarticles/iPhoneConfigurationProf ileRef/Introduction/Introduction.html the following is written:
"OIDs can be represented as dotted numbers, with shortcuts for country (C), locality (L), state (ST), organization (O), organizational unit (OU), and common name (CN)."
In our CA environment, we want to also include email addresses in the subject itself, rather than in the SAN. This is how all other client certs issued through the CA (either via the certsrv web UI or by AD group policy) and to keep in line with other certs issued greatly assists certificate management tasks. For this Microsoft has the shortcut "E" for Email.
This is listed in Microsofts documentation here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/windows/desktop/aa386991(v=vs.85).aspx under "Subject.Email"
So SCEP doesn't support the SCEP shortcut, but does support use of OID's. According to Microsofts own documentation above, the OID 1.2.840.113549.1.9.1 can be used for email, and the value should be a string. An example of an email address is given.
In my own testing, when using the Iphone Configuration Utility to generate the SCEP request, using the OID value above and then specifying an email address works, except that everything including/past the @ symbol does not get sent in the request for the cert.
So for example, if my SCEP configuration profile subject is entered as /CN=user-ipad/1.2.840.113549.1.9.1=[email protected]/ then the cert is generated and installed on the ipad or iphone.
When looking at the certificate properties, the CN is correctly displayed as "user-ipad", but the email address is incorrectly shown as "user" rather than [email protected]
I would like to know why the email address is getting sliced in the SCEP request, so that the domain part of the email address is not being sent to the SCEP server (Running on Win 2008 R2) & then how to fix it!
    Thanks!

    Hi Alex,
I am also trying to install SCEP profile via IPCU to an iPad. It looks like you have already been through all the pain. I have to ask your expertise about the Subject Name and AlnativeName in the SCEP section in configuration profile.
I have tried different varials like $COMPUTERNAME or $SERIALNUMBER, the iPad receives a certificate called
    $COMPUTERNAME.mycompany.com
    or
    $SERIALNUMBER.mycompany.com
It did not return the actual iPad name or serial number, basically the variable did not work.
What should I do to enable every devices receives a unique but also friendly name for their certificate?
    Thanks

  • Broadcasting  - No suitable variables in email subject

We need to include exit variables in email subject in broadcasting.
We created exit variables which are automtically calculated by the user
exit for broadcasting purposes. These variables are time variables that
indicates for example de day before, week from-to, ...
We can't include them in the email subject. They seem not to be
available. Is there any way to do this?
We even tried with <OBJECT_DESCRIPCTION> standard variable, including
these variables in query title and expecting they were going to be
shown then on email subject. But they weren't.
These exit variables are well calculated and shown in query title but
not in subject email through <OBJECT_DESCRIPTION> standard variable.
We supposed this solution should be work. But it doesn't ...
If we are wrong, could you please give as a solution to this issue.
    Best regards.

    See if this helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    Or try this,
Quit the mail app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

One of our users got a new computer and is running Outlook 2013. They can send emails with no trouble, except to one of our other users. It always
gets rejected and the sender gets an email telling them the one they tried to send was undeliverable. She's running Windows 8.1.
    1. Both the sender and the receiver are using Exchange accounts
    2. Both computers are on the same network, but neither are on a domain.
    3. Error message: The e-mail address you entered couldn't be found. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try to resend the message. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

    Hi,
How does the user fill the "To" field in a new message? If she fill it via auto-complete cache, please try to delete the auto-complete cache entry via clicking the "X" icon and then type the email address in the "To" filed. Send the email and check
    if this issue continues.
