No suitable communication component

Hi,
I am in Integration Builder (PI 7.1) and want to configure a communication component for my application component.
I have several business systems defined in SLD but none of them actually have the product I defined in the application component marked as installed on them.
For example : I chose SAP NETWEAVER AS ABAP 7.1 as Product for my application component in ESR and I know that my business system is a SAP Netweaver a ABAP 7.1 server. The thing is , in SLD , it is not marked in the installed products and software components.
So the question is ... how do I get the SAP Netweaver AS ABAP 7.1 product to show up as installed on the server in SLD if it was already installed.
What if the product was a home grown product such ZMYPRODUCT ?

how do I get the SAP Netweaver AS ABAP 7.1 product to show up as installed on the server in SLD if it was already installed - see products are assigned to technical system.........so for a AS ABAP 7.1 system, login to that ABAP system and by transaction RZ70 publish it to your XI system SLD......then you can see all the product and sw component installed on this ABAP system in the technical system of WebAS as ABAP type in your XI SLD.........then you can create a business system for it and add all the sw components to this business system which are in the products coming in its technical system.
What if the product was a home grown product such ZMYPRODUCT ? - why will you need to do this for a AS ABAP system........this thing will be required for a third-party system and so it can be manually added in the technical system for your third-party system in SLD.........

I believe the question is simple,
what determines, what communication components are available in receiver determination,
I mean, when You are creating receiver determination, there is need to choose communication component (using search help) and I cannot see one communication component which I want.
I've created comunnication channel, receiver agreement, interface determination for this system/communication component, but in receiver determination I cannot change the communication component.

In Integration Directory(ID), Communication Component are of two types.
1. Business Service.
2. Business System.
Before creating Receiver Determination, make sure both the above Communication Component
are created first. As we know these are the inputs for Receiver Determination.
Now, assign 'Business Service' at 'Sender Communication Component' level and
                     'Business System' at 'Configuration Receivers' level.
Note: The Business System is not an editable input, we have to select them among search help as
          mentioned before. If you are successfully created/assigned the Communications Components,
          then you will find them in search helps.
          At last do not forget to debug 'Test Configuration'.

Create Communication Component BS interfaces not loading

Hello,
I have created a communication component and assigned a business system in my new PI 7.1 system and unlike the other components I've create this Business System does not load with all the inbound and outbound interfaces. When I open the Business System I see that both the inbound and outbound tab show 0 interfaces.
Other Business Systems have loaded with the interfaces. What might cause the interfaces for a business system not to load?

Steps to recreate:
1. I create the design in IR using SWC SAP_SRM_SERVER_5.0 and COPICS_FTP_1.0.
2. I create a Receiver Determination in ID selecting Interface = DeliveryNotification_Out and Sender = SRM_SERVER_5.0.
3. I add COPICS_FTP_1.0 as the Configured Receiver.
4. I open the Configuration Overview and expand the arrow for the service COPICS_FTP_1.0.
5. Now the interface appears as DeliveryNotification_Out but I need to create the Receiver Agreement with COPICS_FTP_1.0 as COPICS_DeliveryNotification_In.
6. ...but PI does not allow me to change the interface. When I try to create "New Specific" Receiver Agreement it autofills the incorrect interface and does not allow me to correct it.
What am I doing wrong?

Communication component in Direct Connection

Hi all,
We were configuring a direct connection scenario between ECC and SRM (both SAP systems) using the following links :

Both the links refer to a "Logon Data" tab where certain settings have to be set. However, in the communication component (Business system) in ID, we can't find any "Logon Data" tab.
Is there any seperate setting required for this or can anyone suggest where we might be going wrong.

Logon Data is required when you deal with WS (not SOAP) Protocol....check page 28 of the given link.

Is the ICM (Internet Communication Component) is needed when using SAP PI ?

I am aware that the ICM component is needed in SAP PI for various reasons (end-2-end monitoring, GRMG, etc).
However, is that (ICM) component necessary when SAP PI need to exchange with an SAP (ECC) backend ?
Is ABAP proxy need that ICM component ?

Quite interesting blog like to share my views and like t get info also
ICM on top of ICF is needed to communicate with Integration Server for determining logical routing and interface mapping and technical routing
Adapters do communicate with the help of ICM to IS
In Case of HTTP as there is no adapter required, will directly communice to integration Engine pipeline of Integration server
but in case ofHTTPS i think its required for communicating to IS
similarly for IDOC and proxy too applies Somebody can correct me if my understanding is different

Suitable GUI component

hi,
i got a gui screen to show availability of a badminton court.Currently I have a set of buttons side by side to indicate each hour.
If venue is free for that hour,I would set colour as green,other wise red.
My question is there any other bettern gui component to set colour to mark availability of the court?

if its just a colored component with text you can you a JLabel.
if you need a button its exactly as much work to use a JButton.
*though if i recall correctly, people sometime have problems changing JButton colors?

What should be done if there are 2 diff systems with the same logical system name. Since the technical systems are different, i am able to create different business systems for it. But it gives errors during ID configuration..

-->U are creating 2 different TS as WEB AS ABAP so in that you will maintain the details of 2 different systems.
-->finally creating the 2 different BS's in that maintain your LS and for each BS we need to assign the TS name and click finish.(NOTE:While assigning the TS to BS pls observe)

Access interface related entries from within Receiver Communication Channel

when i open the interface determintation that i created, i can see.
Sender Details:
Communication Component:Sys_Sample_One_D
Interface: UserMasterQuery_Outb
Namespace: urn:sample.com:I_Legacy_JDBC_Application
Receiver Details:
Communication Component:Sys_Sample_Two_D
Interface:EmployeeEmailProcessing_Inb
Namespace:urn:sample.com:I_Legacy_FileApplication
Interface Mapping: UserMasterResultset_to_EmployeeEmail
I created a Generic File Receiver communication Channel for my receiver BS: CC_FileReceiver
In the target FileName field of the Communication channel, i would not like to hardcode any filename value, but my requirement is, the filename should be the same as the name of the Receiver Interface, that has been used in the message exchange.
in my case, it should be something like EmployeeEmailProcessing_Inb.xml
How can we access dynamically the interface related entries in the Communication channel, and how can we set those values in the Target Filename value of the File Receiver communication channel.
in short, if i use the same communication channel for other scenario, the received filename should be different based on the receiver interface name that is executed.
It would be even more better if i could access/set the receiver namespace value as part of the TargetFileName or TargetFileDirectory values.
pls let me know how this can be possible.

Are there any additional things do we need to do in Communication Channel in ID.

Excel Loading Scenario - Which Component ?

Hi, i have a xlsx workbook with 20 worksheets, each worksheet has a number of ranges in it (a1 - d4, a6 - e20 and so on).
I would like to redev it with the most suitable excel component (the previous developer used Excel + / CozyRoc but i am not going to put this on a prod server so am curious as to the alternative).
A nice to have would be a enable a loop to utilise spreadsheet metadata which is loaded to a set of tables, and just have 1 DFT to process all 20 worksheets and constituent ranges in each w/sheet.
Can anyone suggest a suitable component for this scenario ? I would like to avoid parsing the file using c# if at all possible.

20 worksheets is not to many, if CozyRoc is a no go I'd go with runing SQL against the canned Excel Source (via OLEDB) against each sheet. Just more time, but the automaton may take as long.

"Component Assignment Incomplete" while Apply Model from ESR

Hi all,
I am trying to configure a scenario by using Model Configurator with Tools->Apply Model from ESR.
My Process integration scenaro is : PAYE_EOY_GB which belongs to the swcv "E-FILING GB 1.0" whose content imported from ESR content available on sap marketplace.
I am trying to configure the scenaro.
The sender is a Business System "Sys_MyECC" which represents SAP ECC.
The reciever is UK govt gateway.. for which i created a party with the name "GovernmentGateway" and a Communication Component "GG_submission" within the party.
When i am in the model configurator, in the step 2 Assign Components, when i am selecting the sender Component as Sys_MyECC, it is giving the popup message:
Component Assignment Incomplete :
Each business component must be assigned a business system component. Incomplete assignments exist; these can be removed automatically.
What does this message is trying to convey.

Besides having a Business System, you need a Business system Service to have a B2B communication
I did not get what exaclty the Business system Service means.
for the sender, we have SAP ECC, the scenario will be triggered using sproxy communication.
so, we created a Business System representing the ECC server.
the "Bysiness system service" means.. does it also represent ECC server, in pi 7.1, if we create Business Component, how we can link the Business Component with the Business system.

FMS PeopleList Component - Help

Hello, anybody can help me how to use the flash media server
component. i downloaded the fms2 Component and followed the user
manual how to use the component such as PeopleList, Chat. but its
not working.
-First i used the simple connect and put the rtmp: URL
-Then put an instance of the ConnectionLight and PeopleList
Component.
-I entered the instance name of peopleList and
connectionlight to the Communication Component property of the
Simple connect
after that i uploaded the main.asc to my influx server and
when i test my flash file. the Connectionlight Turns Green but the
people list component doesnt display the username i entered.
Please anybody can help me....

Solution
Basically there are two mail types: Internet mail (external mail) and
SAPOffice mail.
Mail is sent via the output determination in both cases.
If you use the external mail, the message for the purchasing document is
converted into a corresponding text file which is sent to the vendor via
the Internet.
SAPOffice mail is sent only within the R/3 System and has mainly the
function of providing information.
In particular, it is not possible to attach a message (form) for a
purchasing document to a SAPOffice mail.
When using external mail, the following basic settings are required:
1. You must maintain an e-mail address in the address in the vendor
master.
2. The same applies to your own user master. You also have to specify an
e-mail address there in order to identify the sender.
o Note that it is not possible to change the e-mail address of the
vendor via the SAP purchase order transaction (ME21N, ME22N, and so
on).
o You can only make a permanent change using the vendor master
transactions XK02 or MK02.
o You can use a temporary email address in Transaction ME21N.
3. For the output type for default values, a communication strategy needs
to be maintained in the Customizing that supports the e-mail. You can
find the definition of the communication strategy in the Customizing
via the following path: (SPRO -> IMG -> SAP Web Application Server ->
Basic Services -> Message Control -> Define Communication Strategy).
As a default, communication strategy CS01 is delivered. This already
