No support folder

Hi,
I'm using the Final Cut Express 4.
I like to create some clips in old film look respectively in 8mm film style.
I've found and downloaded the "CGM Aged Film LE" Plugin.
As I known, the Plugin have to be moved in the Folder "Final Cut Express Support"
In my Libary/Application Support folder doesn't exsist an "Final Cut Express Support" Folder.
I have also reinstalled the Software, but it doesn't create the folder.
Can anybody help me?
How can I install or use the Plugin?
greetings from Switzerland ^^

  • Missing application support folder or how to recover a folder

    Hi,
I've searched the forum and see a lot of information on missing files/photos/operating systems/applications, but I've been unable to find information to help me recover my "Application Support" folder. It is usually in System>Library but now its not there and I have no idea where it went. I've searched in finder and nothing has come up. I've tried the same within Time Machine but I suppose its possible that the folder has been lost since before my backup.
    Does anyone have any advice?
    Thanks!

It should be in /Library/ and ~/Library/, but not /System/Library/.

  • Adobe Application Support folder missing files

When I start up my Photoshop CS5.1 on my Mac I get an Adobe Photoshop Screen that says "One or more files in the Adobe application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing.  Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop."
I have done the reinstall but I still get this message.
    Thoughts?

  • One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder...

Upon opening Photoshop CS5 I have the following message displayed on the screen. I have uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop but it did not make a difference., the message keeps showing up. It is getting annoying and I have no idea which files are missing. Anyone know how to fix this? I am copying the message here:
One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing.  Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop.

It's not a systemic problem, no.  Photoshop CS5 can certainly run without an error message.
Was it working without the error message on your system at one time?
Have you made any changes to the files supplied as part of Photoshop?
An uninstall (possibly via the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool) followed by a reinstall will probably get you working again.

  • If I no longer have the old application Backup installed on my Mac (part of the .Mac subscription), do I still need the folder called Backup, that is in my Library in the Application Support folder?

If I no longer have the old application Backup installed on my Mac (for performing scheduled backups of data on the computer), do I need the folder called Backup, that is in my Hard Drive, to Library, to the Application Support folder?  (There is no Backup folder in my Home Folder, to Library, to the Application Support folder.)
Backup was part of the .Mac subscription I used to have, and I have not used it since I gave up being a .Mac subscriber many years ago.  In fact I recall Apple saying at one point that they no longer supported the Backup Application.  I assume the Backup folder is just remnants from when I used to have that application, however I could be wrong, and don't want to trash the folder unwisely.
As I looked through the various items in the Backup folder, nothing appears to be modified since 2007, which further confirms that this folder is from long ago when I used to have that application.  I did notice that the main Backup folder itself was the only thing that had a more current modification date on it.  That date coincides with the date that I installed Snow Leopard on my Mac earlier this year.  But I'm assuming that any operating system software installation will place a modification date on all the various folders of one's computer, with the date the new OS was installed.
Any insight will be appreciated!  Thank you!

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer.  As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you.  I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.
    Best.

  • Files in Adobe support folder missing?

I've suddenly had a message appear when I open Photoshop CS6 saying "one or more files in the Adobe support folder, necessary for running Photoshop are missing.  Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop".  When I press o.k. button I can continue to use Photoshop mostly without issue.  This message only comes up on initial opening the application.  Any ideas?

    All solved!!
There was a file missing in my Scripting Editions Library folder.  I just copied from a previous back up and pasted in current library and message has now gone when I open up Photoshop.

  • Adobe Photoshop CC missing files in application support folder

Photoshop CC was installed and working perfectly. In order to free up hard drive space, I uninstalled Photoshop CS4.
Now every time I open Photoshop CC (or Photoshop CS 5.1) a warning message appears saying: One or more files in the Adobe application Support folder necessary to run Photoshop are missing. Reinstall Photoshop.
Dispite the warning, I click OK and Photoshop CC opens and runs fine.
I do not want to reinstall any old versions of Photoshop. So how do I get rid of the warning message?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    re-install ps cs 5.1.

  • Where is the "Application Support Folder"?

OK, apparently, I did something stupid.
I had both Master Collection CS4 and CS5 on my MacBook Pro. I decided to uninstall CS4. I did some research and did it the way I think I was supposed to. First, I deactivated it. Then I used the CS4 Uninstaller. So far so good.
But, when I boot us CS5, I get the following message:
"One or more files in the Adobe Applicatoin Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop."
Here's where the stupid part comes in. I am on the road and, naturally, do not have the disks to reinstall my Master Collection.
However, here's the less stupid part. I do have a complete clone of the drive BEFORE I did the uninstall.
So, where can I find the Application Support Folder and can I just drag it over?
    Thanks.
    sjh
PS. I'll be on the road for a month and really need this to work.

Anyone wishing to uninstall a previous version of Photoshop should do so BEFORE installing a newer version.  Always.
That being said, I advice against uninstalling previous versions.

Sorry I don't have specific remedial advice that meets your not-altogether-reasonable requirements (I cannot do a new clean install because I do not have my new disc's [sic])  in your situation.

Note that the user Library folder is hidden by default on Lion. You can get to it by holding down the Option key in the Finder's Go menu, use the Go To Folder command and paste in the full path, or use Terminal to make your ~/Library folder permanently visible.

  • Firefox profile is not showing up in the application support folder (under library) on my Mac.

Lost my bookmarks when I upgraded to new OSX Lion.. Can't find them and don't find firefox under the application support folder.

In Mac OS X v10.7, the $HOME/Library folder is a hidden folder.
Open Finder and use one of these:
    * Go > Go To Folder (Shift-Command-G) and in the dialog type: ~/Library
    * Open the "Go" menu and hold down the Option key to make the Library appear

*Hard Drive/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support.*
Your plugin goes into the Plugins folder.
You will need to authenticate with an Admin password to modify the folder.

  • I can't find any themes in iPhoto '09. When I look in the application support folder there's nothing for iPhoto.

I'm trying to make a photo book using iPhoto 09. I get an error message stating no themes are available. I've read online to look in my application support folder but there is not listing for iPhoto there at all. I don't know where to go from here. I've tried reinstalling the software.

  • No Logic folder at Application support folder

    Hi,
Related to the following article, I want to move my logic content to an external harddrive.
    http://music.tutsplus.com/articles/how-and-why-to-move-your-logic-pro-x-sound-li braries-to-an-external-drive--audio-19567
1st question: There is no HD/library folder on my harddrive. The only library folder I got is HD/user/username/library
Is this normal? Becaus in the youtube video in the article there is.
2nd question: I don't find the logic folder in HD/user/username/library/application support
And I need it to move my content? Does mavericks have a different location for logic?
I'm runing Mavericks OSX version 10.9.2
I installed all of logic additional content.
Please help! I'm looking in to this for hours.

At the root level of your hard drive folder, you should see a folder simply named "Library" - inside that you will find an "Application Support" folder:
You just double-click the name of your boot folder (usually "Macintosh HD" unless you've named it something else) and you'll find the Library folder.

  • Address book disappear, Application Support folder can not be opened

My address book disappear from my MacPro, I know it is in the User Library-Application Support folder, but when I try to open that folder, it has a red tag on the folder and it said I have no Authority to open that folder, I am the only one using this machine, never have this problem.  And it will not allow me to restore the address book from Time Machine back to this folder.  What's wrong? I think I need to figure out why it wont let me open the Application Support folder, could anyone help? thanks.
One Symptom:  when I run the address book App, and try to import  address file, the Menu bar- File-the Import dialog was greyed-out and can not be used.

Could you please check the Sharing &permissions of these two folders (command +I). Check to see if you have "Read&Write access to these folders. It should be your user name with read&write privileges.
You will have to open the lock on the bottom right and it will request the admin password. Should your name not be there, select it by clicking on the plus sign on the bottom right and selecting your user name. Select Read&Write privilege and under the gear wheel beside the plus and minus signs,Make sure you apply to enclosed items.
It sounds like you somehow got them buggered. Rebuilding the permission table should of cleared up the problem. This could be a case of booting with your install DVD and rebuilding permissions from there.
                                                            Food for thought.
Next time you even think of modifying anything in you user library, Duplicate the whole folder and then you have a reference to go by. Just make sure that it is deleted after you are finished. This should be a standard step when troubleshooting. Changing something.....make a copy.
