No supported calendar application can be found.....
Even though I don't have a supported calendar, I still get errors stating that "iTunes cannot sync your calendar because there was an error merging the data".
Can someone fill me in here as to what may be happening? Since I posted here last I haven't had the time to change my info. I now have updated to a 16GB, 3G iPhone. At the present time I am running my stuff on a windows system (Vista Home Premium) instead of the iMac listed in my info area. Thank you in advance for any help with this.
The same thing started on mine after I upgraded to 8.1. I have a PC and have never had a calendar app to sync. I have always had the "no supported app can be found message" on the info tab for the iPhone and the check box for syncing calendars at the bottom of the iPhone info tab is unchecked.
Never had a problem before 8.1. Now with 8.1, I get the error message about an error merging data. 8.1 was behaving like it was always try to sync a calendar, regardless if one exists or not and regardless of whether the sync calendar box is unchecked at the bottom of the info tab, and if it doesn't you get the error message.
I noticed that the unchecked calendar box is not greyed out at the bottom of the info tab, so I checked it, and hit sync again. That seemed to fix the problem for me. After checking the box once and syncing, the box is now again unchecked, but I don't get the error message anymore.

With XP and Vista, the only application supported for syncing calendar events is Outlook 2003 or 2007.
Do you have Outlook 2003 or 2007 installed on your PC? -

No supported calendar application can be found. iPhone 4
I see that this has been an issue for some people for a few years. Since my phone is new, I wonder if others are unable to sync calendars. I have one in google email that I want to sync, but iTunes (latest version) will not give me the option. Any suggestions?
I'm having exactly the same issue. Bought Office 2010 yesterday but iTunes will simply not recognise it for contacts or calender.
I followed the steps here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692 even going as far as reinstalling iTunes, but nothing.
Any help to try and resolve this will be appreciated. -
No supported calendar application in iTunes for iPod Touch
Hello everyone,
Right now I'm having trouble syncing my calendar on my iPod touch. I'm using iTunes 7.4.3 and I have Outlook 2003 installed on my computer, but iTunes says "No supported calendar application can be found." in the Calendar section on the info tab. I've tried restoring my Touch several times, in addition to removing / reinstalling iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support several times, and now I'm at a loss.
The weird thing is, I had a 1st gen nano hooked up to this computer as well, and for that iPod, iTunes could detect Outlook just fine. I have no idea why this is happening with my iPod Touch. Any help?I am facing your problem too. My iTunes seems do not recognize my Outlook 2002 SP3. I am using Traditional Chinese Edition on WinXP SP2 T.Chinese platform. Is it the cause of this problem? Hope that anyone can help us.

ITunes 7.4.x - No supported calendar application found
After installing the latest version of iTunes 7.4.x I can't syncronise anything anymore. The Info page in Itunes is kinda blank - that is, there are no info in the dropdownboxes where you select which applications to sync with.
I am running Office 2003 SP2 and could syncing before the upgrade.
Somewhat strangly positioned on the Info tab in Itunes it says "No supported calendar application found". Looks like a debug textstring. However, an hour before it was able to easily see that i have Outlook 2003 installed.
I have no other addins or com addins running. I only see one Apple-add in running, but the scarse information posted by Apple on this forum tells me that thats how its done in the new version..?
Anybody has any feedback on this? Would be nice if the iPhone ... worked
Best regards,

When I click a link in email from the dock I get "no associated application could be found", however if I used comcast email the link will open.Does anyone know how I can enable the links to open in my apple email account on the dock?
Barney,
I have four groups.
I just typed the name of one of those groups in the To field on the iPhone's email, and received:
Invalid Address
"<group name>" does not appear to be a valid email address. Do you want to send it anyway?
I clicked continue and it remains in my outbox.
Help is appreciated.
Thanks,

As we know, there are several feild in Search box since Windows 8.
About my program: It is an EXE item for PC settings, and I have add it to Control Panel. It can be find out in the Search box of Control Panel. But I can not find it in Search box in the Start Menu of Windows 10 OR the one in the METRO UI of
Windows 8/8.1. What should I do for this? I want to let it can be find out in the "Settings" Feild of Search.
At begining I think as soon as I let it support the Search Box in Control Panel page, then it must can be find out in StartMenu or Metro UI. Because I have seen the original Control Panel items(Contained by Microsoft Windows OS) can support StartMenu
or Metro UI Search("Settings" Feild). and the descriptions in the search result are the same as those result in Control panel Search Page. So I guess they may share some configrations, such as the tasklink file?
Below shows the same descriptions between Control Panel Search results and Metro UI Search result:

After downloading mountain lion, I get an error message when trying to use a link in mail. One mail account on the same computer is fine, but not the other one. Any suggestions?
I went to the Apple Genius Bar for help. Somehow when I downloaded Mountain Lion one of the mail accounts on the computer changed from an IMAP account to a POP account. The POP account doesn't enable the links in email. It was a quick fix. Just go to prefrences in your mail account and change it to an IMAP account. Hope this works for you as it did for me.

After updating iTunes, Outlook 2007 is not syncing. Error message reports "no supported calendar application can be found." Have the same issue when running iTunes in safe mode. Also rebooted and relaunched iTunes. No change. Outlook 2007 is running normally on my desktop (WInXP).
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
BeApologies I've been away on holiday. OK, I've discovered that it seems to be a related problem to iSync as this won't load. I've tried copying the relevant files from a working OS but this didn't resolve it. I've also tried reinstalling the iSync (Using Pacifist) from the original Install DVD and then installing a combo update but this hasn't fixed it either.
I'm thinking my only resort is probably to reinstall the whole OS, or create a new user and transfer all my docs to that one. Any other suggestions? -
In all my incoming messages, links do not work. The error message reads=No associated application can be found. Any hints?
Open Safari. From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the General tab.
Select Safari from the pop up menu next to: Default web browser
If that doesn't help, launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk Permissions
Restart your Mac when it's finished.
Try Mail.
