No survey determination in activity when assigning target group

Hi Gurus, how are you?
I`m pretty new to Marketing so I really need your help if possible. I`m using CRM 7.0 and the thing is that I have created a Questionnaires with no problem whatsoever. Then I`ve created a Campaign and again I did it with no further errors.
However I think my problem is in the determination criteria for Questionnaires. For example, I have define the questionnaires determination for a business activity establishing the ID Determination, Description, validity, Transacction Type but without specifying any Criteria Set ID. When I save this customizing and go to to IC to create the transaction type (the same one used in the determination) the Questionnaire is determined automatically which si correct.
The problem arises when I define a Criteria Set with its corresponding description, the Object Type BUS2010020 (Campaign) and the Object Key which is the campaing created before.
After making this definition, if I go to "Determination for Questionnaires:Business Activity" and make a new entry with Determination + Description + Validity + Transaction Type + Questionnaire ID + Active Check + Criteria Set, then when creating the transaction type beforementioned the system does not determined the quesionnaire any more. However, if I delete the Criteria Set from that entry and create the same transaction type again, in this case the system does determine the questionnaire.
Could you please help me?

Hi Lorena,
The criteria that you have in Criteria Set might not be matching what you enter without the criteria set. You might want to recheck that. And as far as I remember, you can't setup questionnaire determination for campaigns.

    Target group is a group of BP, like a BP list.  It's a kind of master data which can be used in business transaction.
    And profile set is a base of target group, just like Product Hierachy and Product category.  Each target group should belong to a profile set. So create the profile set, before you create target group.
    Campaign is a kind of Marketing element of CRM Marketing.  In campaign, it need the BP or BP group or Target Group as its campaign objectives. Just like Customer of Sales Order, Vendor of Purchase order.
    Campaign can be assigned several target groups or BP or BP groups in it.
    So if you want to create campaign and assign target group to it, the steps is:
    1.  create a profile set  by BAPI_PROFILESET_CREATE
    2. create target group by BAPI_TARGETGROUP_CREATE, in this calling, you will use the profile set created before.
    3. create campaign by MKT_ELEMENT_CREATE
    4. assign the target group to your campaign, by MKTPL_TGGR_ASSIGN_CREATEl, the target group comes from step 2, the campaign comes from step 3

  • XSLT transformation error when importing target group in CRM Survey cockpit

    Hi,
    I created a target group using the segment builder and exported that to a local file. Then when creating a survey using CRM survey cockpit (tcode: SURVEY) and trying to import the same target group from the local file; I get an error :
    "Error when applying a XSLT transformation"
    System Response
    Data transformation cannot be executed. Application functions that depend on the transformation cannot be executed
    I tried various file formats : RTF, TXT, XLS, HTML but still I get the same error. Export to XML option is neither available while exporting from segment builder nor while importing into Survey cockpit. The target group is not empty.
    Are there any settings to be maintained to resolve the error ?????

    Thanks for the response... as far as my understanding goes, the crm survey suite can be used for maintaining questoinnaires that are transaction specific. also the functionality of question tables and rows is not available in the survey suite but is available in the survey cockpit (tcode: SURVEY).
    However the same does not allow me to refer to the target groups created using the segment builder.... Is there a way I can use the target group created through the segment builder in the survey cockpit ????

  • Determination Criteria for Questionnaires with Target Group howto transport

    Hi Experts,
    if I do the Determination Customizing for my Surveys in the Development System I don´t have the Target Groups I am having in Quality or Productive System. As the Determination is Customizing in SPRO, I wouldnt want to change the Target Groups in P System.
    How do you handle/ transport this? Do I have to have the same Target Groups in all Systems (with same name)?

    The criteria that you have in Criteria Set might not be matching what you enter without the criteria set. You might want to recheck that. And as far as I remember, you can't setup questionnaire determination for campaigns.

  • Dump when displaying target group

    Hi,
    When I try to display a target group I get this error:
    Line types of an internal table and a work area not compatible
    The problem is that in method SELECT_BP_ENHANCEMENTS from class CL_DEF_IM_CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEM_EX, the method tries to insert a line of linetype crmt_mkttg_member_guid into an internal table with type BUPA_DATA_ALL.
    This dump occurs since we upgraded to ehp2 sp10.
    Anyone who had the same problem or knows how to fix this?

  • Error assigning Target Group to Campaign Element

    Hi
    I have created a Target group for a Campaign. I have saved and exported target group to channel and started the Campaign. But it shows error message saying No Target Groups are assigned to Campaign Element..
    Why is it showing error even after assigning members for the target group and exporting the TG to Channel. I have updated the status from created to released, approved before Starting the campaign.
    Please help.

  • Error when exporting target groups with more than 10000 BPs using mail form

    Dear experts,
    we are working on 7.0.
    we customized the communcation medium file export for the usage in campaigns.
    Everything is working fine: the target group (<4000 BPs) is exported to a .csv-file and attached to the campaign.
    As soon as number of BPs in the target group exceeds app. 9.000-10.000 the background job is executed successfully without errors, but no .csv-file is attached to the campaign.
    Has anyone experienced the same? Soem hitns or solutions?

    I don't think the character set is the problem. I used a string of numbers 0123456789 and just copied and pasted it repeatedly to build up the text. The database character set is WE8MSWIN1252.
    Regarding the apache log. I have to admit that I don't even know if I'm running apache. I am using a newly installed Oracle XE on a laptop in order to get some experience with application express. This app is the first one I've done. If someone will direct me to the log then I'll be glad to check it and post the relevent contents.
    I signed up for an apex workspace and intend to see if I can recreate the error from there so I can see if the problem is just in the free version of apex that comes with the Oracle Express Edition for windows database.

    We are implementing SAP CRM Lean Marketing using CRM 7.0. Our business requirement is to do segmentation based on Company attributes and Relationship Category. The output of the target group should enlist the persons related to the Company based on the relationship category selected while doing the segmentation.
    Using standard InfoSet CORM_MKTTG_BP_ORG_CDE and while creating data source selecting BUT000_PER-PARTNER_GUID in the field business partner, we are able to get the list of persons matching the segmentation query (based on the relationship category e.g. Has Supplier, Has Contact Person, etc) . But the issue is , the output of the target group (shown as an ALV grid , when the target group is opened in segment builder) only enlists matching Persons, it does not enlist the related company ID /name in front of the Person ID in the output of the target group. And this Company BP ID is not available if I try to modify the output layout. So business is unable to understand the Person enlisted in TG belongs to which Company. Can we enhance this ALV grid output of the target group displayed in segment builder ? if yes , how can it be achieved ? If this is possible and we are able to add related company BP ID/ name in front of every person enlisted in the target group then our issue gets resolved. Or is there any alternative solution to resolve this issue ?
    Highly appreciate your early response in order to resolve this critical issue.

    Thanks for the response.
    As per your suggestion I made additions to my z Infoset , and added all the fields you suggested.
    While creating the data source I selected following fields
    Business Partner: BUT000_PER-PARTNER_GUID (as my requirement is to return Persons and this field works with only GUID)
    Reference Object: BUT051-RELNR
    Reference Object Type:  BUT051-RELTYP
    Now when I create the target group with this data source unfortunately I am still not getting the the relationship number when I click in Show assigned Objects in the target group screen of web UI.
    Please suggest where I am going wrong

  • CRM Target Groups and Product Segments - BW and BPS settings

    Hi gurus,
    I have some questions regarding the CRM Target Groups and Product Segments as it relates to BW and BPS planning layouts.
    1. When a target group is created in CRM, is it supposed to also be create master data entry for the object 0TGGRP_ID in BW? If it is, what kind of settings need to be made to ensure that? When we create target groups in our CRM instance, we donu2019t see the master data being updated for the  0TGGRP_ID info object.
    2. Where exactly (in BW) is the relationship between the target group and the underlying customer/business partners  stored/updated? We have a requirement to use target groups for defining the trade promotions and still being able to explode and plan on (individual) customers in the embedded BPS Planning layout. I believe that we need to have target group and associated customer assignments stored somewhere (?) in BW and use BPS characteristic relationships to populate all the possible combinations for a target group ID being passed from CRM. Am I correct in my assumptions? Any ideas if SAP has already delivered something similar in the BPS business content for TPM? 
    3. We are planning to use product segments to define the trade promotions as well. I believe BW info object is 0CP_SEGMENT. Similar to what I mentioned in Question 1, I donu2019t see any master data being updated for 0CP_SEGMENT. Am I looking at a wrong BW object or missing some key settings?    
    4. Where is the relationship between a Product Segment and the associated products stored/updated in BW?  How do I create a trade promotion using a product segment and make the BPS planning layout populate individual products in the lead column?

    After reading your post, what i understand is that there is no existing relationship present in CRM system between the Org BP and the contact person BP.
    As per my Knowledge in order to create a Target group with Contact Persons you should have an active relationship persent in the CRM system bewteen the BP and the Contact person.Now as your sceanrio suggests that the Contact person's are present in the BW system but not in CRM, i would assume that the relationship also exsits in the BW . So if it does then your BW team should be able to help you in creating the necessary infocube with there analytical tools and you can then use there cube as the datasource and create the necessary Target Group with Contact persons.
    Comming to the second part of your question, your guess is absolutely right but to give you more detailed infomation , the BP ID is converted in a unique GUID and this is passed into the program to retrive the necessary information from the BP after the campaign is executed.

  • Accumulate output of Terminal process across Target Group

    I have a process (Workflow?) that I execute on a Target Group of terminal Targets.  I want to gather all the outputs of the Execute Terminal Commands into one place for processing.
    Concatenating it to an Output variable doesn't work.  Each Target has it's own, with only it's output.
    Even writing to a file doesn't work.  Eventually, two processes try to write at the same time and one fails. 
    Concatenating it to a Global Variable seems to work.  But it seems like there must be a better way.

    Currently CPO does not support running(or in this case broadcasting) a single activity or child process to a target group.
    Here's why and some background.
    Assume we have 10 targets in a target group.
    You start process A against those 10 targets, what CPO actually does is spawn 10 process instances each against *1* target from that group. It does not spawn just 1 process instance.
    Now assume you call child process B or an activity inside of a process. Even though you can select a target group that is only good for the parent process (or top process) level. Once you make that a child process, it operates similar to an activity.
    Here is why you cannot (currently) execute a child process or activity against a target group...
    And this is a discussion that has been running for some time, but how do you determine to the parent process if that child process was successful or failed? Some would argue it must be 100/100 for success, any failure is failure. Some argued that as long as it's better than 50% that's success. Some even argued that it should be just 1/100 for success. And that shows the main issue in allow child processes and activities to execute on target groups, which to this point is not supported or developed into the product.
    I understand your use-case and you can accomplish the same thing in the following manner:
    1) Set your variables in your parent process
    2) Use Find-Target to find all the targets in the group you want to execute against
    3) Use a For-Each loop to for-each through all the targets and then place the child process inside of the for-each loop and on the child process have it use the target item in the for-each loop iteration
    Now If you really want it to mimic a target group or broadcast, I would then go and select the child process(inside of the parent) to execute asynchronously.  (see below SS)
    Normally if you leave this unchecked each process would wait for the previous one to complete before starting. With that checked the for-each loop will continue pass each one, not caring if one succeeded or failed. It will just start them all in succession.
    I cannot remember if there is already an ENH for the target group @ activity level/child process use-case, but if not, feel free to open a TAC case and suggest it, or if there is already one, they can give you the ENH number. (as I said, I think there is one, as it's been a long running discussion topic)

    Hello Experts,
    We tried implementing BADI CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEM_EX in order to add Company ID/ Name , but the issue is the BADI gets Input as persons BP id, nothing else, due to this if a person is having relationships with multiple companies, the BADI is unable to identify which company to choose as Relationship Category is not available to the BADI. And further issue is if a Person is having same relationship category with 2 companies e.g. Supplier for company A and for Company B too , in this case too the BADI is unable identify correct Company to return to the target group output
    Is there someting in the Infoset that can resolve our issue ? How can I make available the fields in the infoset to the ALV output of the target group. Using SQ02 I am able to add fields to the field groups for selection in segmentation, but can anyone guide, how to make the field available in the output list ?

  • Member of Target Group: Contact record updated

    We are creating a target group for a Campaign and several of the contacts had to be updated (changed Companies "Account" for instance) and the new data for that contact is not reflected on Members list, shows old data (old Company "Account").
    Without removing the member and re-adding, are we missing something or once they are added it holds the old data?
    We can find this down the road to be cumbersome when copying target groups and/or when using the same target group for other campaigns
    if a contact record is updated and the information is not matching to the member data.
    Any insight appreciated!

    once the members are added to a group and after if you do any changes on the master data these changes wont reflect in the group already created, you should remove and save the group after again add back this time the new changed data will be updated.

  • Custom Attributes in Target Group

    Hi,
    we are experiencing an issue during Target group creation: we are unable to see our custom attributes in the Target Group.
    We have an Attribute List created by a Custom infoset; the Infoset is based on a custom Table.
    When we create a profile Set from this Attribute list, the Target Group is created with the correct records number, but when we look at the Target Group we find there only standard attributes, that are not defined in our Attribute List (they seems all BUT000 fields).
    How can we add our custom Field to Target Group Structure?
    I've read someone suggests to enahnce CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI BADI: this is the only possible option? there is a way to do it using SPRO transaction?

    Thanks for reporting your concern.
    When the target group is displayed on the WebUI, the system uses a standard structure crmt_mkttg_genil_tg_i_enhance. The fields available for selection comes from this structure. In this structure there are some 30 user fields provided which can be filled through the badi 'CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEM_EX'. Using this badi you can display the required Custom details.

    We have a communications database which I've created in Graphical Modeler. I have used a SMB filter and then subtract a 'Do not Contact' filter.
    How can I manage those contacts who do not want to receive these email campaigns? In general: how can we manage unsubscribes when creating Target Groups in GM?

        in gui u have to create target group in tcode crmd_mktseg  create profile  create target group and copy attribute list of existingif needed create filters  and go for web ui create profile set and go for graphical modler and take ur attribute list and drag and drop u can split or rejoin merge target groups i think it is use full
