No survey tab :(

HI people,
I have done all settings in spro. yet i cant see the survey tab in activities.
what could possibly be going wrong? I going crazy

I suggest you use OSS as extensively as u do in sdn. There are no points there but the learning is exponential.

How to set active tab in PCUI application

Hi,
we are using PCUI application for activity management. We are also using surveys.
If a user selects an existing activity from the search result list instead of tab "Details" the tab "Survey" should be set as default.
I found out that the event behind is ACT_SURVEY. But how and where can I raise this event?

Hello Adil,
I tried your suggestion. Doesn't work.
When I add the survey tab via customizing on a position lower the 010 (details tab) then I get an exception from the onlayout method.
So I tried to change the position via method check_active_tab. This works, survey appears at first position. But the details tab keeps choosen although it is the second tab now. When I chose the survey tab it changes its position to the original position.
Do you have any other idea? Is there a way to invoke the event act_survey?

I am not able to see Survey form in CRM IC webclient. however its visible in GUI for the same transaction.

We are also having a similar requirement to have a survey questionnaire in the sales order screen of IC Web UI.
As of now i created link and its opening a screen.
In that screen I need to have some questionnaires with yes or no answers and i should be able to save it.
Any suggestions to help this requirement will be highly appreciated.

Details Tabs rearrangement in Activity Transaction.

When an Activity Transaction is opend (Z Tranasctin Type) currently its opening with Survey Tab. We need Details Tab to be opened when a new Transaction is opened manually.
I tried SHD0 Transaction. In whch I tried to put Activitiy T Code as CRMD_BUS2000216. Its throwing an error saying Tranaction : CRMD_BUS2000216 is not known.
Can someone guide on this.
One more, We need these changes to happen only for this perticular Activity Type.

this is not any configuration problem
as i told you in above post
on the top of the screen there is tab named system
under this go to local settings.
what actually happened if the checbox for the option last transaction opened is checked,system always open the last transaction
and nature of system is such that if you unchecked that check box,the new transaction will always open up in the way last transaction is opened,
yes you are right here that when you click the details tab then it will always open up again in details tab

Cannot connect extender to network - possible problems??

I've tried placing it diff paces around the house and installing. Have tried installing with the CD and manually. What could possibly the problem? I can connect to signal but there's not internet cause it won't connect to the router. Does my router have to be linksys too?

Try to use the RE1000 as a wireless adapter. Connect your computer to the RE1000 and then access the RE1000's ui. Under wireless>> site survey tab, try to look for the available wireless network and check if the RE1000 will be able to detect the router.

D-Link USB wireless adapter

I have a D-Link wireless router and USB dongle package, it works with my windows laptops perfectly well.
I am looking for a way to use the USB wireless dongle with a G5 tower so I can use the Mac as a web machine.
There is a software driver for the dongle but I have no idea what information on the different tabs I should enter, so any ideas what this should be?
The user manual is for windows, there is information on how to set up for Mac, despite the inclusion of the Mac driver on the CD.

i use a d-link dwl g122 dongle that has the same RT73 ralink chip.
the d-link driver that came with the CD just did one thing to my G5 powermac: kernelpanic!
after some searching on the web i found out, that it is best not to use the d-link driver at all, but to use the original ralink driver for the chip provided here:

load the "USB(RT257X/RT2671/RT2500)" driver. that's the driver, that will give you the wireless utility as it is shown in BD's picture.
before you install it, make sure that you uninstall the d-link driver completely. there should be an uninstaller in the dmg or zip file, that was on the CD.
then install the ralink driver and after that connect your d-link dongle. the wireless utility should pop up after a minute or so, but first you've to go to the network preference pane and confirm, that there is a new port detected.
then you can go back to the wireless utility, that by then should be searching for available wireless networks in the site survey tab. choose yours and enter the password when asked. after that safe the connection to a profile.

Cant get on internet

Okay, here is my situation....I have an old computer from my sister that she had set up. I hooked up a wireless adapter in that computer and a wireless router on my main computer. I set up the router on my main computer with no problems and can get on the internet. When I try to hook up the other computer with the wireless adapter it says cannot establish access point. Is there some way I can clear that computer of its old stuff. I tried the ping thing and everything else.... Please help....I also just started with Comcast and they will not help me at all. Thanks.

click on the "site survey" tab and check whether you can view your network .. if yes , select it and click connect .. check whether it gets connected to the network or not..if not , let me know the adapter model number and the router wireless settings ..

PC60G WLAN card, cannot use MSI utility with Vista

I think I accidentally installed Windows Vista's own drivers, and now the MSI Configuration Utility cannot find the wireless access point.
Steps to repeat:
Launch the utility from the notification area
Select the Site Survey tab
After a few seconds the status shows "Disconnected"
After a few more seconds the Rescan button is enabled
No network device is in the table
I have done System Restore to the point before I installed anyting. The Windows wizard detected new hardware again (I cancelled it).
I have installed the latest MSI drivers for Vista 32 bit, 2.0.3.0.
Still the MSI utility cannot connect.
Win XP has a check box to disable Windows from managing the wireless connection, but I have been unable to find this function in Vista. Does anybody know where it is?
I am able to connect to the access point using Vista's built-in support.
Is it worth the trouble to try to disable Windows' management? Are there features in the MSI utility that I am missing out on? If not, can I uninstall the MSI utility (to get rid of the notification icon) without compromising the network card?

Well i'm using the same card under vista .. and the MSI utility isnt working for me either... but my advice .. vista's utility is better .. no need to use msi's one ... and if you want to disable it .. as i know .. in the installing CD .. when you install the driver you have 2 options to choose.... Performance .. or WiFi (as i remember) choose performance.

Tabbing down items on a list or survey

I used to be able to tab down a list and hit the space bar to mark my selection. This doesn't seem to work anymore. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Interaction Centre: Survey not saved correctly

Hi,
We are using SAP CRM 5.0 Interaction Centre. While creating a customer feedback transaction with survey in Interaction Centre, following is the observation:
1. We open the customer feedback transaction, enter the mandate information in the details tab and save the transaction.
2. Then navigate to questionaire tab and fill-in the survey questions and save the survey.
3. Navigate back to details tab and save the transaction. The survey and the transaction are saved correctly. Instead, without navigating back to details tab, when we try to save the transaction from the questionaire tab, neither the survey nor the transaction is saved.
Recently the application was upgraded from SP15 to SP16.
Please provide your inputs in solving this issue.

Thanks for taking your time to answer my issue.
Actually we have two issue in this
1.When users press the End button, ideally, the current screens should be closed and default screen of Accoutn Identification should be shown.
This does not happen.
Actually, nothing happens when users press the End button.
Users cannot click on anything else too and the screen seems to be frozen.
Users have to close the IC session and relogin.
2.And one more issue is when user ends call by click on end button it goes to account identification but Name of the account still be there on top left top side where it shown account name. but it allows agent to take another call and create service ticket.
Please note that we are using CTI( Avaya phone)
Now since these two are an intermittent issues, i do not have reproduction steps.

Service Desk Enhancement with Forms & Survey - no data evaluation possible

I implemented an additional form in the service desk (using the survey functionality)

Creation was fine, I am able to see the additional form as extra tab in Service Desk Support Messages (transaction type SLFN).
But evaluting the data does not work.
According to the survey suite, no data is available - but I answered to the survey/provided input to the form.
I saved the values, and looking into the appropriate tables (mentioned here: CRM Survey Evaluation Data Storage) give the impression that answers are there.
But I cannot evaluate them...
Does anybody have experience with this kind of service desk enhancement and knows how to get the data for evaluation?

Keyboard Control FAIL: Using TAB key on websites directs cursor to nowhere!!! Why?

(using 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 MAC MINI, OS X Lion 10.7.5)
I have always felt safer using the keyboard rather than mouse-clicking on search fields etc. (Open Firefox, hit command+L to the URL I want to go to, then hop to next field with TAB key).
Most notably frustrating example is with using Google, this has not worked right for some time. Say that you to start to search for something on google "main page" and then it goes to the search results page... You go to edit your search or type your next search and the cursor is flashing inside (but off center) of the search field and inputting text is not an option. Also you may instictively hit ESC (while in search field) when you are being given suggestions you don't want, and then the cursor moves again to this no-man's land in between fields.
The other KEYBOARD control issue that I have found is this:
Sometimes you cannot Close Window or even Quit Firefox with the usual keyboard shortcut. Usually when a few windows or tabs are open, or when there is some pop-up survey etc. on page. You can usually ALT+TAB to another open program and then back, and then you can close window or application. But that seems really sketchy to me! This happens all the time on major websites. You can go File-> Close Window or File->Quit, but when you use the same keyboard command the file menu just flashes with an "error tone."

The TAB key thing was the same in safe mode. Actually I should add/correct, regarding that google search example: when the cursor is in "inbetween fields" positions, actually it lets you type at the END of the text that you had typed in the field (even though the cursor is blinking before the text). and if you "Command A" to replace the text in the search field while cursor in this position, it instead selects all the rest of the text OUTSIDE the field. Just doesn't make any sense. I think this happens with fields on Facebook as well.
That first issue is just very annoying because it comes up every day and I never get used to it. I would be actually be curious to hear from someone whom this DOES NOT happen to.
The 2nd issue I mentioned occurs more randomly, and seems more definately a Firefox issue. (When you can only close a window or quit from the drop down menu with the mouse, Command W and Command Q just give an error beep)

I just updated to the newest Firefox 9.0.1 and now I get pop up ads as a new tab that takes over my web session. Firefox also crashes my whole computer and restarts it. I am running Windows XP Pro.

Pop Ad tabs include ad, when I close it asks if I'm sure I want to leave the page. I say yes and then there is another survey ad that says I may have won something. This whole process requires at least 4 denials before I can get the page to close.
Periodically my computer will freeze and restart when I am using Firefox.

I open a new tab and nothing works until I click anywhere, get redirected to a different tab, close that one, then I can follow links on tab I wanted to open.

When I open a new tab, for instance if I search on a topic and there are several sites that seem promising, I will open them in new tabs. I can scroll over the links or text on the new tab and the cursor doesn't react.The new tab has fully loaded but the cursor will not recognize text or links. Before anything will work first I have to left-click anywhere on the page. I get redirected to a new tab, invariably a trusted offer or survey. When I close that other tab, then the first tab acts normal. I scroll over it and the cursor recognizes the text and the links.
