No switch health or port utilization info displayed c2960-24tt device manager
Hi there, I have a WS-C2960-24TT-L. running 12.2(58)SE2
When I connect to this switch's Cisco Device Manager web interface, the "bandwidth used" and "Packet error" both show 0%, and no information appears in the port utilization graph.
The temperature and fan indicators appear to work. The page auto-refreshes. Switchports change color as expected (i.e. go dark when disconnected). I have left the browser open for a reasonable period of time (i.e. over the lunch hour). Other items such as the table of port statistics show up as expected. I am using a secure session. I have tried both Firefox 27.0.1 and Internet Explorer 9.0.25 and see the same result in both browsers.
I am thinking I need to configure something in the switch to enable this information to appear.

T61p - IEEE 1394 (Firewire) port does not show up in device manager in Windows 7 x64
I have a T61p. On the front, in the left corner, right next to the wireless on/off switch, is a IEEE 1394 (Firewire) port. However, if I plug anything into it, it's not recognized by Windows, and if I go into the device manager in Windows, there is no IEEE 1394 host manager or ports or anything listed there.
I have rebooted and gone into the BIOS, and I don't see anything in there about 1394 either. Is the port there, but the hardwire inside is missing? Do I need to enable it somehow?Let me clarify that. I have something in the device manager called "SD Host Adapters", and under that "SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller". That thing has a Microsoft driver.
However, under "IDE ATA/ATAPI contollers", I do see "Ricoh Memory Stick Contoller", "Ricoh SD/MMC Host Contoller", and "Ricoh xD-Picture Card Contoller".
I also have "PCMCIA adapters" that has "Ricoh R/RL/5C476(II) or Compatible CardBus Contoller".
So, it would seem I have the right drivers for the card reader, I'm just missing anything for the IEEE 1394 contoller... -
WRT54GS Not saving port forwarding info.
I gave up on an older router, and had the wrt54gs sitting in my closet. I had to set it up for the PSN and COD4, but everytime I enter the port forwarding info, it says its saved, but erases it.
The info is:
TCP 80
TCP 443
TCP 5223
UDP 3478 - 3479
UDP 3658
All enabled on PS3s IP
Click SAVE SETTINGS
It opens a black window that says settings saved
I click OK
and everything has been erased.
Im on firmware 7.50.2.
Ive tried both firefox 3 and internet explorer. (ff3 error console gave me no errors)
DMZ is enabled for my PS3.
Ive tried both a wired and wireless connection.
I can use my PS3s browser (if that matters)
Any suggestions?You need to Upgrade the Firmware on your router...Download the Firmware from here , Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device: -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page.In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave the username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful" After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router and do the port forwarding and check if it saves the settings... -
SRW2024 port utilization OID/MIB

Now when going into webview in this switch, under statistics-> Port Utlization you see a % for every port ,
now that is the value i want but i cannot find the MIB/OID to use to get that value. I believe there is none
that port utlization is a calculation of possibly a number of OID's to get that value, but what does linksys
use to achieve that. Looking at google for port utilization calculations comes up with the following:
The purpose of knowing utilization is to know whether a link in the network is overloaded. Thus, the bar graph for a port shows utilization for the busiest half-link (Rx or Tx) on the port. For example, using a port configured for 100Mbps, full-duplex, if the port was transmitting at 35% utilization on one half-link and receiving at 10% on the other half-link, the port would show a 35% utilization.
Utilization is calculated by the formula
utilization % = (data bits x 100) / (bandwidth x interval)
Thus, on a 10Mbps half-duplex port, a 3-second measurement of 6,000,000 bits would indicate a 20% utilization of the port.
So am i right do we have to find OID for every bit in the above calculation if so are they all available. It would be much
simpler for me to have one OID to did this so that i could put together in MRTG.

I am searching for an appropriate command to watch the port utilization of my N5k ethernet ports.
The "show interface eth1/x" just gives me the input and output rate for a port as a 5 minute average.
If possible I need updates every few seconds.
Is there any possibility to achieve this without NetFlow?

Thanks a lot!I just found out that NetFlow is not supported on the N5k and also the load interval on per interface basis is not configurable like on Catalyst switches.
But there must be any possibility to get accurate performance values out of this switch.

I have a Macbook pro 13.3 w/ i5 that has no hdmi port. I want to be able to connect the Mac to my TV set to watch Video, Photos and files from Mac to TV.
Is the Thunderbolt port similar to a display port or mini display port? Can I use thunderbolt port to connect thru a mini displayport to HDMI cable or converter?
Been trying to locate a USB to HDMI cable or converter (at a reasonable price) but all I found is a displayport or mini displayport to HDMI cable/converter.
What other options are available ?

HT3382 Connect from a MacBook Pro's mini display port to a Display Port monitor?
Hello everyone,
Is it possible to connect from a MacBook Pro's mini display port to a Display Port monitor with resolutions higher than 1920 x 1200? It seems Apple does not supply a mini-DP to DP adapter.
However, just as they do not make a mini-DP to HDMI adapter, but they do recommend a Belkin product for this purpose.
Is there any reason that a mini-DP to DP adapter or cable wouldn't work and support high resolutions?

With a converter like this, you can run video out of the MBP's DVI port, and miniToslink (optical) audio out of the 3.5mm stereo mini jack to the converter, then it will combine the two and output audio and video through HDMI to the monitor.

Otherwise, depending on the TV's inputs, for video you could run DVI to DVI on the TV, or DVI to HDMI to the TV. For audio you could run 3.5mm stereo mini plug from the MBP to RCA adapter on the TV. Toslink/optical is also an option. -
Past 2 days , my Nokia N71 cell info display gets stuck only showing one area or doesn't show at all, even though moving to another area doesn't change. To update cell info display i need to restart my phone or i need to go settings then i select cell info display then change to off then again on. But i have also Nokia 5700 XM but it doesn't face the same problem and it is also subscribed to same network as n71.
my N71 fimware is V 2.0642.1.05
Please someone give the solution to the problem.

The Cell info display now a days displays only some Offers that are dished out by the Operator. Once upon a time it was showing the AREA where you are but thats no more there I think. Not atleast on the Vodafone network in India. And its the same on all handsets, not only Nokia X1-01. Recently I had contacted Vodafone in this regard and was told that the duration for which the info is flashed can not be increased.
As for the signal problem hope that the Antenna is not covered by any other object.. Refer Pg.No. 7 of the User_Guide ...Else you may have to get the phone inspected by Nokia Care... -
Mouse Over Info displays immediately at Finder, Mail, Cyberduck etc.
Hi, I have a new Problem with my Mac -
At Finder, Mail, Cyberduck the yellow Info displays by Mouse Over displays immediately while using the Cursor.
Normaly the Infos about a Folder or File appear a few seconds after the mouse is still on it - but in my case it appearing directly.
Can somebody help ?

Is display port and mini display port the most reliable way to connect to U2515H and alike?
It seems that there are a lot of horror stories with HDMI or DVI-to-HDMI, like not able to get 2560x1440 on U2515H.
So, is using the display port or mini display port the safest way to get U2515H working?

No "purchased by" or "account name" in Get Info display
The first song I purchased from the iTunes
store works fine. When I use "Get Info" to
see the details there appears to be corrent
information for the "Purchased By" and "Account
Name" fields.
Every other song I have purchased since then

or "Account Name" in the "Get Info" display.
The header appears to be missing or corrupt

I run repair permissions all the time without first booting from the install disk. It works fine. On the other hand, attempting to Repair Disk without booting from the install disk will not work.
I'm thinking something other than faulty permissions is causing your problems..
That being said, I'd suggest booting off your install disk, running Disk Utility, and selecting First Aid>Repair Disk.
If it says that it couldn't repair the disk, just keep running it until it gives you the Disk Successfully Repaired message.
Let us know if this helps or if you get some error messages.

I had FiOS TV installed earlier this week and watched my first On Demand program last night. When using the fast forward or rewind buttons on the remote, the Info Bar displays which is really annoying because the info display blocks the closed caption display for the length of time the Info bar displays (I have Info bar set to display for the lowest allowable time--2 seconds) but apparently the Info bar display when using fast forward or rewind is considered a feature rather than a bug...'-}}
If I might suggest...
It would be more practical if the Info bar displayed when the Pause button on the remote was pressed because, if one has paused the program, then obviously one has time to read the info display. Alternatively, add a "0" time display option to the Info bar display settings so one can turn off the Info bar display--I could turn it off when watching On Demand and then turn it back on for regular tv watching...>>lacticacidtrip: I find that the OK button works best to toggle the info bar both on and off. The Exit button does work to remove the info bar.
Thanks...since I have the Info bar timeout set to 2 seconds, that's quicker than I could hit the OK or Exit buttons.
The real question is WHY the system is designed to show the Info bar when pressing fast forward or rewind buttons? Can I disable the PS CS6 "On-Canvas Info Display"?
Is it possible to disable Photoshop CS6's "On-Canvas Info Display," the "small information pop-ups [that] are displayed near the cursor when using a variety of tools"? (circled in red below).
