No Sync button in Tools/Options, so cannot sync this new PC

Have established a Firefox Sync Key account using my iMac, and am trying to sync my PC, using the sync key. Unfortunately, there is no sync button in the Tools, Options menu after the Advanced button, so there is no opportunity to be able to sync my PC (Win 7 64 bit).

If you did have Firefox 6.0.2 the Sync menu item would be in the Options window. Plus the UserAgent of the browser you used to post here is for Firefox 3.6.3.
Take a look at Help > Troubleshooting Information -> Application Basics > Version and see which version it says that you have installed.

You can not use the Windows registry to disable items in Firefox. This link shows how to lock down Firefox proxy settings, change the values to suit your needs:

One minor variation, in step 4 instead of adding that line to all-js, you can create a file called ''local-settings.js'' containing the line shown and save the file in the same folder as all.js

You can disable or remove that button, but that won't prevent users from making the changes on the about:config page directly. 
You can lock the related network.proxy prefs if you do not want users to change the connection settings.

I've called the Apple helpline. The only way to organise music on the iPod classic, is to use playlists. They themselves can be organised in playlist folders.

When I click tools|options, I cannot see the options tabs

Normally the options window has a set of tabs at the top, but when I click tools | options all I can see is the general tab, no tabs are shown and I cannot move the window down. I am operating with a screen resolution of 800x600 and have tried in both normal mode and safe mode. However, if I change the resolution to 1024x768 I can see the options tabs, but it is difficult for me to see with impaired vision. How can I fix this to be able to see all the options using 800x600 screen resolution?

cor-el - seeing the menu is not the problem. Not being able to see the options tabs is the problem.But now I can see those also in normal mode with only some of previously active add-ons disabled. . I am suspecting an add-on, but not sure which one, and don't have time at the moment to disable-reenable them one at a time.

I can't get download to work - it will not copy the mp3 file to my chosen location (as set in tools/options) - it gives me a new window with a player - no dwnlo

I am running windows xp sp2 and I have set my dowload location under (tools/options), but when I select an MP3 file to download, firefox does NOT copy the file to my chosen location on my HD - instead, it opens up a new window with a makeshift "player" and begins loading the player with the MP3 file. The problem is that I have no idea where on my system firefox has copied this file to, so, I cannot leave and come back later and play this MP3 file using winamp. I have to listen to it right then or lose it - if I close that new window (with that puny little "player"), then I lose the download, wherever firefox put it on my PC (I got no idea where it is). This is all under firefox 25.0
I am also running FIrefox 12.0 on an older windows 2000 machine and that works perfectly - I can download any MP3 file I want, and firefox 12.0 (on win2k, sp4) downloads it to my chosen location (on my HD), and it gives me the download window so I can watch its progress and have some control over pause, and resume, and, when it is done, the download window offers me the option to "open containing folder" so I can make sure it got to where I wanted it. In other words, Firefox 12.0 on WIn2k, sp4 works better than firefox 25.0 on winxp sp2!!!!! What gives? I went through and set up my options for XP just like I did with Win2k and it all looks good, but firefox 25.0 just ignores my chosen location and always defaults to give me that makeshift player and I am not able to actually copy the mp3 file to my harddrive - it makes firerox 25.0 almost unusable since downloading mp3 files is a big part of my firexfox use - please help - I am not able to upgrade windows at this time, and, since firefox 12.0 still works fine on win2k, I can't understand what happened at firefox?

I tried it again using "save link as", and this time it actually worked! I just now downloaded several more using the "save link as" option, and it works perfectly. Thanks. Problem solved.

Hello. Ive never even wanted to use my time to do this. But this maps app is absolutly discusting. There are a couple cool things but for the most part its horrible. I drive for a living. So I use maps app all the time. This has affected how I do my job. Ill either get a android phone soon if apple doesnt fix this problem. I dont like that you have to redo your directions each time you shut your phone off instead of starting off were your current position is. I dont like that you cant swipe to the next turn you have to make so you can see ahead. I have no use for the 3D option. Thats cool for some and I understand that. But please take it back it to the way the old maps worked but keep the voice navigation. I do like the maps sceem. But people if this is not were I need to post this please let me know. email [email protected] email me people please if you can help me or tell me were to find were I can email apple so they can see this complaint. I dont want to sound like a complainer cause im not. I just dont like this new maps app. I love apple products. IOS is awesome.

They are actively working to improve the Apple Maps app.
It is extremely unlikely that you will get the Google Maps app back, as the built in app. Google may release an app one day in the app store.
You can alos look for other Map apps in the app store.

Besides not printing, the OK button on my Tools settings no longer works. That just started, too.

The print button, control p or any other way to get to the print screen do not work. There is no response. I can print from sites like MapQuest that have their own print button.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Can I get the prevoius software back on my phone? I cannot stand this new upgrade. Its awful.

So I did the recent upgrade on the phone 7.0.4. CANT STAND IT. I wish to revert to the older software. Is there a way to get it back? I have always been an apple fan, never had issues with the upgrades, but this is so awful I may look to another phone. It is slow, I do not like the calandar, how to text pictures, I cant facetime anymore & cant seem to reset it, I dont like how the home button does not bring me back..... I could go on and on. So, is there a way?

So all of my problems began when I upgraded to 7.0.4.
One of thie things I always loved about Apple was it was seamless. Its not now. I am so bummed. What I was saying above is that I do not like the way you send pics now, I dont like the small grey letters in the calandar ect. I cannot get the phone to face time. It used to. Now it wont. So, the program is not seamless & not easy to fix. I dont want to have to get an upgrade & then try to fix a bunch of things. Thanks you for your comments- unfortunately its several things foing on. yes if you enable backup on your new phone everything will be up to date.
Yes you can use the software to move music and message to your computer - you would need to add the music back to your iTunes media library.
I provided a link with what is backup to icloud. YOur purchased item is always tied to your apple id.

it works, but the first button doesn't places himself at hsm.x as he should.
this is so far one of my greatest difficulties in AS3, controling events inside loops.
in as2 we could use something like
function whatever() {

 for(n = 0; n<20; n++) {
 do stuff here, like per example fade in of movieclip
 n++
in as3 I can't make this, I tried during this week to have some movieclips to place themselfs inside one sprite, using one timer to make each placement every 2 seconds. No results... they all are placed at same time.
Its been dificult this as2 to as3 transition, (I just purchase flash cs 3 a couple of monts)

Publishing without Explorer Buttons and Tools

I'm currently using Captivate 4 to build an elearning course. I'm notloading this course to our LMS, however I would it to look like it is, without the extra Internet buttons and tools in the windows. This course is unscored and I'm publishing it without a skin. The course consists of one captivate project, my launch page, that launches "other" captivate movies. Using the forums I have found the java script that allows me to launch the "other" files in a new window without the explorer options. However my original movie or launch page still opens in a window with all the explorer buttons and tools.
What changes can I make to fix this?

You will need to configure the launch page so that it is actually launched from another HTML page. It's the only way this can be done and is a browser security issue.
You might be wondering at this point how it can possibly be a browser security issue. This is because you are wanting to change a characteristic of the browser. You can only do this when opening an instance where JavaScript is specifying the attributes of the window. You cannot change attributes such as the presence of toolbar buttons or the Status bar or the Address bar from a window that is already present. If you could, nefarious hacker type folks could then trap others on their own pages with no means of escape other than to close the browser.
