(no) synchronizing with Media Player

There I was, happily copying my CD's to the Zen Touch I bought in 2005, with the help of Media Player 0. Then Media Player got there and I installed it. Result? No more happy copying. Just a message that synchronization was impossible. So I re?nstalled MP 0. But now I constantly get the message that there is an updat for MP 0. I know. And it would be nice to use it. But I do want to put music on the Zen. I called Creative and they said that Microsoft was working on a patch. Were they? I tried to contact them in various ways, but got nowhere. So?I never found out if there is a patch. Does anybody know about a patch to solve this problem??

Just a general error without explanation.
This evening I found the problem: WMP11 writes some info on the card to recognize it (together with the IMEI).
Because I copied the contents of the card the info was not correct with the new phone. After deleting all the contents of the card and only copying back my photos and other files I was able to synchronize again...

  • Tracks ripped with EAC Play alphabetically, when ripped with Media Player Play in the correct or

    I just got my new zen touch. I downloaded the new firmware update and it seems to be working great.
    The only problem is that when I add music that I've ripped with Exact Audio Copy c/ Lame Encoder to MP3, The tracks don't play in the correct order on my Zen Touch.
    When I add an album ripped with Microsoft Media Player, it plays them in the correct order.
    I think that the ID3 tags have all the appropriate info becuase when I hold my curser (on the computer) over the eac ripped tracks, the pop up menu list the track #, artist name and song title etc.
    I've read the FAQ and it doesn't matter if I select Album-Play, Artist-Album-Play. I've tried all combos.
    Anybody with experience using EAC? I've looked in the settings and I can't find anything wrong.
    Is it possible that EAC is using and ID3 Format that my computer recognizes but my zen touch doesnt.
    But Media Player uses an ID3 format that it does recognize.
    Also, The album ripped with media player was ripped to WMA. While all the tracks ripped with EAC that are giving me trouble were ripped to MP3.

    What software are you using to copy? Make sure both that and the drivers are completely up-to-date.

    I have imported a WMA-file in Audio-1 track of PE – still no sound to hear. But I can see the sound in the track. (Like in my video-clip) Therefore I also think it is a setting in PE. Will you be so kind to tell me where I have to look? Because I am no expert. Or is it possible that I have to activate anything in PE? It is first time that I will work with PE 9.
    Further information: The original sound of the Mini-DVD is 5:1 surround. After first problem I have changed Nero to export in Stereo, but this did not solve the problem.
    Thanks and regards

  • Small issue with media player after install of 4.5 OS

    I have the BB Curve 8330 and recently upgraded the OS to the new 4.5.0.56
    So before the upgrade I could be listening to tunes and when a call or email or message came in the tunes would only stop during the notification. Now however the tunes will not restart and I have to manually navigate back to the media player.
    Is there a setting somewhere that I can not find or am I stuck with this now?

    Recently I have had issues where my 8520 thinks my headphones are plugged in when they are not. I can, of course, manually change this but that only works when I'm making a call or using the stock media player. This method does not help with Mobiola which I use to listen to audio books until blackberry createsa bookmark function in their media player (and a way to sort the audiobook files from the music without having to make the folder hidden).
    It was only assuming the headphones were plugged in but in the last 2 days it has started ignoring them entirely. I have done multiple resets and used a light to check if there was anything in the jack. My only solution to get Mobiola to output correctly is to change the output in the media player, but once the media player is paused Mobiola goes back to whatever it seems to think is right. I noticed this after I had done the most recent update as of about a week ago, that isn't to say that it wasn't doing it before, but I didn't notice it before.

  • Lunch video stream uri in wp8.1 with media player

    hello every one,
    i have a problem with opening the default media player, to play a video (a stream uri from youtube) in widows phone 8.1
    when i was write to windows phone 8.0 i used
    MediaPlayerLauncher mediaPlayerLauncher = new MediaPlayerLauncher();
    mediaPlayerLauncher.Show();
    and now i used (wp8.1)  :
    bool success = await Windows.System.Launcher.LaunchUriAsync(_videoUrl, options);
    that open  IE file download with a open/save dialog.
    if i click on open it's open the windows media player and play the video as i wanted
    how can i skip the save file dialog and automatically open the windows media player with my youtube stream uri?
    thanks a lot,
    Or yaacov

    Hi,
    >>that open  IE file download with a open/save dialog
    In WP Runtime,
    Windows.System.Launcher.LaunchUriAsync is the only way to play supported video using default media player:
    // The URI to launch
    var uri = new Uri(@"MICROSOFTVIDEO://www.example.com/testFile.wmv");
    // Launch the URI with a warning prompt
    var success = await Windows.System.Launcher.LaunchUriAsync(uri);
    >>how can i skip the save file dialog and automatically open the windows media player with my youtube streamuri?
    Because this question is related to the function of this video site, I would suggest you referring to its official API site:

  • Gnome 3.16 Can't Suspend With Media Player Open

    I have been seeing this problem since I updraded to Gnome 3.16. I use GDM.
    Normally when I close the laptop lid, the computer is suspended (the power led changes color and starts blinking). But sometimes, when the lid is closed, the system seems to get stuck. The power led doesnot change color, and when I open the lid after some time, the screen is blank but I can't seem to wake it up. I can hear a slight humming (I guess it's the harddisk). I have to turn it off with the power button, and when I start the computer back there is a bunch of "Orpaned node removed" messages. The longer I leave the system in that state the more is these messages.
    After a few hit and trial I figured out that every time the system went to that state there was some media player running (Rhymbox, VLC, Banshee, Audacious). They don't need to be playing, even when they are just open. So I guess the bug is in something common between them. Maybe they have some interface with gnome-shell or gdm to supress screenlock when they are playing and the bug is there?

    #LidSwitchIgnoreInhibited=yes
    #IdleAction=ignore
    #IdleActionSec=30min
    #RuntimeDirectorySize=10%
    #RemoveIPC=yes
    I have tried uncommenting the HandleLidSwitch. When uncommented the system is not suspended at all.
    Can someone point to any fix or to where exactly the bug is, so I can file a bug report.

    This issue has since been resolved. I do not know how. I did a system update yesterday and it had updates for linux kernel and gnome, so maybe that was that.

  • Solution for "Firmware problem" Zen Touch with Media Player 11 and Windows XP

    Hello,?I like to share this information about my troubles with updating my Zen Touch. At first my Media Player would not detect my Zen Touch. As I hoped the update of the firmware would solve my problem I started a firmware update. Unfortunatly it went wrong as a result the Zen unit did not boot anymore an gave a "Firmware problem". Due to this problem I could not reinstall the firmware as Windows XP did not detect my Zen. I was ready to trow the unit out of the window when I found this solution. And it really worked for me. I hope it wil solve your problems too. And many thanks to DG?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...6280245AAiPliB?Best Answer - Chosen by Asker
    I had the same problem. You don't have to call Creative. You don't have to spend any money. Here's how I fixed it:
    1. If you have Windows Media Player uninstall it and reboot
    2. Uninstall the WMP Runtime format from add/remove programs ( you may have to check the "show updates" box) and reboot
    3. With the Zen Touch connected, go to Device Manager and uninstall it and then unplug the USB cable.
    4. Uninstall ALL Creative software including the Zen drivers and then Reboot
    5. From Device Manager, uninstall ALL USB root hubs and reboot
    6. Plug in the Zen and wait for windows to detect it. In my case windows showed it as "Creative Zen" and then changed it to "MTP Device."
    7. Run the firmware update again. It should go ahead and update now.
    You can reinstall WMP if you want after this. Be sure to get the latest version from microsoft's website.
    Hope this hel
    ps.

  • Speaker crackling sound with media player on Equium

    I have a problem with my speakers, anytime i go to use media player, all i hear is a crackling sound from them, any ideas.

    Hi
    Does the crackling sound appear since a first day?
    Does it happen if you play CD's or watch movies?
    Maybe some codex are missing.
    Did you try to update the sound driver? If not so check it.
    However, I have also read that sometimes a new OS installation could solve such issues.
    I don't know why but possibly some files on the HDD could be damage.

  • Sync 3250 with Media Player 11 - It Works!

    Hello,
    After a long time of struggling I've finally managed to get my Nokia 3250 to sync with Windows Media Player 11 on Windows XP.
    In the sales package and on the Nokia website they only have the driver for Media Player 10 and I could never get this to work.
    However, I stumbled across this link today: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg04164.html
    and used the Nokia_3250_WMP11_driver.inf and it worked first time.
    Just right click and download the .inf file to your PC.
    Conenct your 3250 with a datacable and choose "Media Player" mode on the phone.
    When the add new hardware wizard starts make sure you add the folder where you saved the .inf file to the list of places to search for a driver.
    Let it install and thats it.
    Start Windows Media Player 11 and click the Sync tab and your phone should be in the list.
    Now just drag the songs from your library to the phones playlist on the right and then click Start Sync.
    NiVZ

    Hey NiVZ thanks for this tip. I was looking for this for months since I used Windows Media Player 11 for my 3250.
    Cheers mate.
    The world might be a better place if you were I.

    Perhaps the reviews are wrong?...
    It has been said that MTP support is coming for the Touch and the Xtra.
