No templates and grayed out menus

Maybe I'm missing something, since I'm new to iWeb, but when I open it there are no templates at all, and everything on the File menu OTHER than Close is grayed out. Suggestions?

My timeline empty and grayed out. :-(

I shot a video of multiple presentations (1-10 min clips) in training class. I imported the clips into Premiere Pro CS3 in lieu of Elements (more my speed)...anyway. I want to create a highlights video using 30 secs to 1 minute excerpts from each clip (I have about 15) Problem #1: I have set markers and "ins and outs" for the excerpts I want; however; I do not know how to save and/extract them. Problem #2: My Timeline panel is empty and grayed out, so I cannot drag even the whole clips into the timelne.

If you upgrade to iTunes 10.3, you can redownload your past purchases from the iCloud. Just go to the home page of the iTunes Store and click on "Purchased" under "Quick Links." It will bring up a list of your past purchases that are not currently in your library, with a little arrow icon that lets you download.

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

Templates properties grayed out

Hi,
Not quite sure if this is the proper newsgroup for this
question, but I'm
sure you'll tell me ;). Today I upgraded to Contribute CS3
because a website
i'm working on now will be maintained with it.
In this website (which is currently only running under
localhost), on most
pages I have optional regions whioch should be set on/off
through the
template properties dialogue. However as soon as I try to
edit one of these
pages and want to edit the Template properties, the option is
grayed out,
and cannot be selected.
I have compared the new optional regions code with earlie
sites I created
but cannot discover the difference. I also tried the same
with Contribute 3
(which I still have installed), and guess what: the template
properties are
avaliable. I've looked every place I can think of, but can;t
find the cause,
let alone the solution.
Anyone who can shed light on this?

I seem to have solved the problem by recreating the templates
from scratch.
Templates were created with Dreamweaver 8 , which I upgraded
today also to
CS3. So far backward compatibility ?!

Newsletter template has grayed out bookmark for hyperlinks

I used a Pages newsletter template for a 20 page document. I have a table of content that I want to set up hyperlinks to other pages in the document. You have to set bookmarks to hyperlink to within a document. The text boxes in the newsletter will not allow me to set a bookmark (it's grayed out). Any suggestions on how to get around this? Thanks

When you have a WP doc you have to the essential text boxes inline to have a possibility to make bookmarks or links. You put the insertion point on a line just beside the text box or select text that you put in the text layer. Now you can create bookmarks.

Can't Re-Install Lion from Recovery HD - Internal Drive Locked and Grayed Out

I can't boot into Lion on my Macbook Pro. I can boot into Bootcamp. When I'm in Bootcamp, using MacDrive, I can access all my files on my main Lion partition. I can also boot into the Recovery HD. From there I can get to Disk Utility which tells me that I need to repair my Lion partition. When I run the repair, it tells me it can't be repaired.
Given that I can still access all my files from Bootcamp, I tried to re-install Lion using that selection from the Recovery HD menu. It verifies my Lion copy over the internet. But when it asks me to designate the drive that I want to re-install Lion on, the drives (Bootcamp, Recovery and Mac) are all grayed out and all say "Disk is Locked". I'd rather not reinstall from my Time Capsule back up because of the time involved, the fact that the backup is a week old and because I dropped the !@#$ external drive with the back up on it yesterday and I don't trust it (it's making weird noises).
I've tried booting up in safe mode and ctrl-sys-r-p but all that happens is hours of watching the wheel spin. I had not set up File Vault so it shouldn't be for want of a File Vault password.
Any idea how I can unlock the drive to at least try to re-install Lion?

Thanks for the idea. I do have another Macbook at home although it's quite a bit older and I've only upgraded it to Snow Leopard, but I'll certainly give it a try. I've already tried what would seem to be about the same thing with, unfortunatley, no luck. I have an old hard drive (running Snow Leopard) that used to be the internal drive in my Macbook Pro. When I pulled it out, I stuck it in an enclosure. When this problem cropped up, I plugged it into the Macbook Pro that's giving me grief (via USB), booted up on the enclosed drive, and ran the disk utility off of that drive against the current internal HD of the Macbook Pro. All I got was the "can't be repaired" message.

Disabling and graying out a field

I am creating a form. One of the things I would like to do is disable/enable a field. Basically, I have a checkbox. If its checked, then certain fields should be disabled for filling and grayed for identifying them as disabled. If the same checkbox is then unchecked, the field is enabled and ready to be filled. Default condition is the field is fillable.
I am new to javascript, so based on what I found online, I came up with this to disable the field first, but nothing seems to happen when I check the box. I entered the code below in the "Run a Javascript" Actions and "Mouse Up" trigger under the "Checkbox Properties"

Red exclamation and grayed out song

Earlier tonight my daughter purchased 10 songs on her authorized Windows 7 laptop. Of the 10 songs, 8 play with no problem; the remainging 2 have a gray circle and red exclamation point beside them and the songs will not play nor can they be added to a playlist. She then went to another authorized computer and downloaded the songs--no problem. She continued to troubleshoot and searching for answers online. She then called me and I downloaded the songs (another authorized computer) and all play including the 2 in question.
She has tried checking for any songs to download and even looked in the Quick Links => Purchased to determine if the songs were available to download. No songs were available for download. She has searched her File directory and the songs do not exist on her laptop.
How do we correct this problem on her laptop?
Any help is appreciated.

It's been awhile since I used that level of iPhoto but I believe that you have to select an area on the photo before you can use either of these two tools. For crop simply select the desired area and for red-eye select a small area around the eyes.

Why oh why did developers think it's okay to automatically check AND gray out "form history" in clear recent history??

For years I have been using clear recent history to quickly clear cookies and cache only. I had already unchecked the things I did NOT want cleared in options. But the new update automatically re-checked everything to be cleared! I did not realize this until too late, now ALL of my autocompletes are GONE! Updates should improve the function of the browser NOT change personal settings! Plus they changed options so the place to uncheck what is to be cleared is hidden and painstakingly time-consuming to find. Please do not pull this kind of "improvement" in the future, leave personal setting alone!!!!! you just ruined my night.

If you open the recovery drive (partition) it should only have a single folder (Recovery).
To make sure that your not saving restore points to that drive.
See:
Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection tab. Make sure the D drive partition is set to OFF so that it does not save there.

In my template, the code is grayed out and I am unable to edit it. How do I unlock the code?

I have a website based on a template. (Dreamweaver CS6). Just recently, the "code view" in the template is grayed out, and I am unable to edit it. I can edit the template in design view. I would appreciate suggestions of how the code got grayed out- or locked up. Thanks in advance.

Thanks everybody- I found a thread on a forum which solved my problem. In Dreamweaver: Commands → Clean Up HTML → (make sure non-Dreamweaver Comments" is checked. This clean up made the template then editable.
