No Templates Appear in DVDSP4

Hi,
I have noticed that I don't seem to have any templates appearing within DVDSP4 - have I missed something during the installation?
Checked the directory structure within Finder and I don't even have an Apple directory.
Any ideas?

You may not have installed them or somehow changed locations. Not sure which version of DVD SP 4 you are running. But in finder do a search for "Smoke Frame Gradient" without the quote and the spaces, that is one of the templates installed.
If you can find that, the templates are installed and you can use preferences to target that folder. Usually the folder is installed in Application Support

RRI Target Template Appearance

Hello All,
We are running nw2004s. I have set up the RRI, with several queries as the "Sender", and one Web Template as the "Receiver".
The data in the Receiver template is correct, and works wonderfully.
Only one problem: When the template loads, the table and 10 charts load at the very bottom of the screen, with about two full pages of empty space before it. So, the user would have to scroll down a lot in order to view the results.
For both the template that contains the "Sender" query, as well as the "Receiver" template, all of the following are marked as 'false':
WARNINGS_VISIBLE
INFORMATION_VISIBLE
SYSTEM_MESSAGES_VISIBLE
None of them appear, but the space does.
Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, in fact the template has the following:
Two Buttons
Analysis Item (report)
Table (2 rows by 5 columns - each contains a chart)
I tried another template, without a table, and the space disappears. But, for formatting purposes, I need to have the table. Any ideas why the table corrupts the page?

Having templates appear when users click the "New Document" button in a document library with custom content types

Hi all,
I'm using SharePoint Online, but I'm seeing the same behavior in an on-prem 2013 instance as well. My situation is this:
- I've created a document library
- I've created a custom content type and attached a custom document template to it
- I've assigned the custom content type to the document library, and disabled the default "document" option
What I'm expecting to see is that when I browse to the document library and click "new document", that either a) a picklist appears allowing me to specify the document template I want (using the custom template I specified) or b) open the custom
template itself. That doesn't happen - instead, when I click new document I'm prompted to upload a file, which seems to contradict the whole point of using a custom content type/custom document template combo.
Am I missing something? The custom template isn't in the Forms library, which seems to be a problem if I wanted to use the custom document template instead of the default.
Ideally I'd like a menu like the one shown here:

Hi Brain,
What you have done is by design behavior.
If you want to show the Office document templates list (e.g. below image from your above referenced link) to select when click "+new document" link, this will need to install Office Web App 2013 which provides this feature,
you can new document and see it is using WopiFrame.aspx page, please see more from below article about how to configure OWA 2013 for SharePoint 2013 on-premise.

Creating Dynamic Page: Make My Own Template Appear?

I am creating a Dynamic Page portlet.
During the setups for this dynamic page, in the "Dynamic Page and Customization Form Text" step, I would like to make a template of my creation appear in the dropdown of templates.
(Examples of templates currently appearing in this dropdown list include PUBLIC.TEMPLATE_1 , PUBLIC.PEOPLE_TEMPLATE AND PUBLIC.SKY_TEMPLATE.)
Does anybody know how I can make a custom template of mine appear in this list?

Go to the Navigator (page) > Providers (tab) > Locally Built Providers (link) > Shared Components (link) > User Interface Templates (link)
Once there, you can either copy one of the existing templates or click on "Create New... User Interface Template" (When prompted, I recommend selecting "Unstructured UI Template" if you want complete control over your html, css, and javascript code.)
Once your template has been created, you will be able to select it from the list of available templates and the template will be shown when the component is viewed in full page display mode.

IDVD6 themes(templates) usable in DVDSP4?

It's my understanding DVDSP4 will not open or import iDVD6 projects.
But is there any way just the iDVD6 themes (templates) can somehow be used in DVDSP4?

Why does my email template appear differently in various email programs?

I have created a CSS-style based email template using Dreamweaver CS6. The template looks great within Dreamweaver, on Internet Explorer and in Outlook 2003. However, when viewed in Outlook 2010, Hotmail and Gmail, the template is distorted. If I set my containers using pixel size, why would it be different when viewed in other email programs?

Stationery Template - appearance breaks when recipient opens

I've tested several Mail Stationery Templates. They seem to break their formating when I send them to non Mac users (my mother). When I send a test email to myself it looks fine. Any solutions or suggestions? Wish I could attach my mom's reply to show the problem. Very disappointed in this shortcoming. Am I loading the mail message with too much information (photo, text, fonts, color)?

If you had Pages previously it should be in your Applications > iWork folder.

Changing Template Appearance

i cant figure out how to change the default gray colors that
are given on the templates in CS3. In particular I am using the 2
column liquid html template. I can see in page properties the
button to change the background but when I do so nothing changes.
Also when I add a table, the columns and rows have a black border
around them that I cant figure out how to get rid of.
Please help if you can

Template appears to be locked?

I imported a bc template into DW and all the code seams to be commented out and i can not edit or delete any of it, why?

Not quite sure...can you add the template within BC admin or maybe FTP outside of DW to see if the issue continues?

Web Template Appearance

I subscribed to a service that provides me with Templates for capture pages for my web site.
When I display the template I choose, it is displayed with all the HTML code instead of the graphics and text blocks for my editing.
The FireFox Browser displays them correctly.

Hi all,
as i described in some postings before the problem with local HTML-to-PDF Conversion utilities is that each BW USer must have a license for this lib. Also you have no Designtime integration, this means if you want to define headers and footers, Pagebreaks or report books all these solutions will not work.
There is also another problem with these tools, f.e. you have Comboboxes or an navigation block included in your template, and you convert the executed template with ABC PDF to PDF you will have also the navigation block items with all the drilldown images printed on the pdf. The printing paper of Tobias Kaufmann(a old cooleague and friend of mine) has also a problem with charts and custom text in the template.
Also there is no automation support for these solutions this means broadcasting of PDF'S is not supported.
Our solution provides such features, but it is not finally released, but we are short before release 1.0.
For interested people, which have special requests in the functionality can sent me an mail, where they can describe their needs. Deepu had seen some features in the past our solution.

Office 2013 apps showing templates error after Sysprepping Windows 7 with CopyProfile setting

Here is my setup:
I installed Windows 7 Professional.
I entered Audit Mode (which automatically logged me in as the built-in Administrator user) and installed the entire Office 2013 Professional Plus suite.
In Audit Mode, I opened Word 2013 to get through the "new user" prompts, such as the opening movie that plays in all Office 2013 programs. I did this to ensure that any new users who log into the computer would not need to sit through these "new
user" prompts. I also rearmed Office 2013.
I ran Sysprep with the CopyProfile setting in the Unattend.xml file, with the /generalize switch, and the /oobe switch. The CopyProfile setting copies settings from the built-in Administrator account to any new user who logs into the system.
Both Windows and Office were successfully activated using KMS.
Everything seemed to work, but there is one problem: when any user -- all of which are standard users rather than administrator users -- logs into Windows and runs any Office 2013 program that has templates (such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), the templates
on the Start page do not appear. In their place, the following error message appears on the Start page where the templates would normally have been listed:
"Sorry, we had trouble getting the featured templates and can't show them right now."
Below the error message is a link that reads “Work Offline.” If you click the “Work Offline” link, the error message disappears and the templates appear as they should. However, the error message re-occurs when the application is closed and re-opened.
If I login as the built-in Administrator account (i.e., the account I used to modify the default profile), this problem does not occur at all when using Office 2013 programs.
Any ideas?

Is there any chance to let you skip the Start page for Office application? I mean that try to open Office application (such Word)and go to File > Options > Untick the option "Show the Start screen when this application starts". Try to re-launch
the application again to check if the error still pop-up. If yes, I'm afraid the default build-in template is corrupted somehow and we need to copy a healthy one from another computer or totally rename normal.dotm documents from %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\template.
Afte that, please check if the issue still persists.

How do you save individual pages in a template

If I create a template it gives me an option of how many pages to capture. Capturing three pages then gives me one item in the menu for managing pages. If I save this as a template when it opens I get three pages.
What I need in the template is three individual pages, say cover, text 1 and text 2, all selectable from the pages menu - just the way the apple templates appear.
The user manual gives instructions about deleting pages if you only want them to appear in the submenu but in spite of a number of experiments I've failed to make this work. Any deletions, after capturing a page but before saving the template simply lose the page.
Can any one provide any insights into how to create templates with a list of pages.
I've posted a related question on section breaks that may form part of the solution.
Any help would be much appreciated.

To capture individual pages you need to put a section break at the beginning of each page. Then follow the instructions in the help menu. (See your other post for details.)

Where is the movie template in GB 10.0.3?

Need to add music to a preexisting, pre shot movie. The video tutorials show an older version of GB, where the movie template appears in create a new project. Can not find that template on 10.0.3 version. All I found was movie under tracks. Is that the new template? If not, appreciate any help in setting up a movie template/project. Thanks.

Use any template to create a movie sound track.
With "File > Movie > Open Movie" add the movie to your Project.
This will show the movie, but not actually add it to the project.
The movie will start at bar 1, and you cannot shift it. The original sound track will show as locked.
Create your new sound track.
When you are done, use the command "File > Movie > Export Audio to movie". This will write the bounced song into your original movie file.

Web Template Changes not visible after transport from Development to Test

Weu2019ve run into a problem doing web development in BI 7.0 that I suspect someone has seen before and may quickly be able to point us in the correct direction. Changes that are made to web templates in the Web Application Designer are correctly transported from development to the test environment, but we are still seeing the old version of the template when the report is executed. We are able to see the web template changes in the Web Application Designer in the test environment. We believe this is a caching issue and have cleared the query cache and the HTTP cache in SMICM. Unfortunately, this has not resolved the issue. Can you suggest another approach to resolve this issue?

Not sure what you mean by browser cache. We have deleted history, cookies, and all temporary Internet files. The issue isn't limited to a single user, but exists for all users. Through extensive testing we have established that you are able to see the web template changes in test in the WAD(Web Application Designer) after they have been transported from development, but can only view the changes when the web template is run for the first time. Changes to existing templates can be seen in the WAD in test, but are not seen when the report is run. The old version of the template appears to held in cache somewhere, but we haven't been able to find it and clear it.

WDK8 Templates are not loaded to VS 2013 Ultimate automatically?

I have installed the WDK8.1 and checked that a "Windows Kits" folder was created with all respective files in it.
However, in Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate the templates are still the same!
Do I need to configure them manually or what could be the problem?
PS: Platform Windows 7 64 bits, Visual Studio was installed before installing the WDK.

But I am afraid that the issue is out of support range of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses the usage of Visual Studio IDE such as
WPF & SL designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System
and Visual Studio Editor.
Please restart VS2013 then check whether the driver template appears under Visual C++ template. If still no driver template, one possible reason is WDK8.1 was not installed well, and maybe we need to configure something else to get the driver template, but
