No texture presets folder in CS6?

To my surprise I don't see any texture folder in my PS6 presets folder structure. Where has it gone?!

The textures stopped shipping with photoshop maybe around cs4/cs5.
Anyway if you want those, you can download the optional plugins for photoshop cs5

  • How to create a new paper size preset in photoshop CS6

Hi, Im trying to create a new paper size preset in PS CS6. I was told if I went to my PS folder, I will find a folder named presets. Inside that folder there should be a text document called "New Doc Sizes.txt" but it's not there.
Has anyone any idea where I might find this text file in a presets folder?
I have a C drive, but my folder for CS6 is on my D drive. I use Windows Ultimate 7 x64.

There's a file named "New Doc Sizes.psp" on my Mac. "Save Preset..." in the "File > New..." dialogue stores custom doc specs in that file.
    /Users/<name_deleted>/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings/New Doc Sizes.psp
There should be an equivalent in Windows.

  • Missing adobe brushes presets folder in OSX

    Hello All,
I was trying to install some brushes into the Brushes Preset folder but the only folders in the "Adobe Photoshop CS6" folder in the tree below doesn't have it. It's only a couple of random looking folders. Any thoughts as to where it might be? I'm running OS 10.7.5 and CS6. Thoughts?
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets/Brushes

The presets can go anywhere in the presets folder.
The subfolders are just for your organization.

  • New Presets Do Not Consistently Go to Preset Folder

I generated a new Preset using Camera Raw as a Filter in Photoshop. When I went to save, it pointed to the folder in which the image file is stored, not the Preset folder in ACR. This does not happen consistently. However, I do not make it a practice to save new presets using the filter version as it is a scaled down version for obvious reasons. If I make a new Preset when I am in ACR from a raw file or even tiff, it saves it properly. Is there a way to point to the ACR folder instead of the image folder  without going through the file tree to get there?

BTW, the instructions I found to find the preset folder in Win 7 was way wrong. Talk about frustrating!

Here's what I found on line vs what really works to access the Settings folder.

Incorrect: Stores the settings in a Camera Raw database file in the folder Document and Settings/[user name]/Application Data/Adobe/CameraRaw

  • Does Bridge CC have more text animation presets then Bridge CS6?

so I upgrade from CS6 to CC and did not install Bridge CC. Then while in After Effects CC I try to view the text animation presets, but window informs me I do not have Bridge CC installed. I then download and install Bridge CC and view the animation presets, but seem all the same as Bridge CS6 has.
My question is - Does Bridge CC have more text animation presets then Bridge CS6.
Is there another procedure to acquire more? Did I click past something on my first launch of Bridge CC?

My question is - Does Bridge CC have more text animation presets then Bridge CS6.
Best try this in the After Effect forum, to my knowledge not many AE users are here at a regular base. Besides that, every suite version has its dedicated applications to work together in that suite, CC is no exception to that so for best practice use Bridge CC.

You aren't the only one, and neither is going away any time soon.

  • Where is the LR5 export presets folder located on Mac Mtn Lion?

    I cannot find this folder?

On Windows I can get to this folder with:
LR -> Edit / Preferences / Presets (tab) / Show LR Presets Folder (button) and this highlights the Lightroom catalog folder because I have my presets stored with my catalog.
Once I click into this highlighted folder, the Export Presets subfolder and all the rest of the presets subfolders are under a folder called Lightroom Settings.
With LR 5.2 RC, at least, it appears that the Adobe presets are internalized in LR, and only the User presets are in this folder structure.

  • Trying to install presets but can't find presets folder

I just upgraded to Lion AND purchased Lightroom 4. I'm trying to install a set of presets by going to lightroom preferences, presets and clicking on the "show lightroom presets folder" but when I click the button nothing happens at all. In fact, I can't click on any buttons in the preferences menu or click on the tabs at the top or anything. I tried to search for the folder on my computer but nothing came up either. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong or if there's something wrong with the way lightroom is installed on my computer?
    Thanks

I dont think that you need to reinstall.  Apparently, Mountain Lion hides the Library folder.  It appears when you look at the main HDD, but when you click on users and then your main account it is hidden and this is where the presets are.  Here is a link to help reveal the library folder.
    http://mac.tutsplus.com/tutorials/productivity/how-to-reveal-your-library-folder-in-lion-o r-mountain-lion/
Once you have the library revealed you should be able to find the presets at this path USERS/%User%/Library/Appplication Support/Adobe/Lightroom
I thought I did something wrong as well.  I hope this is helps you out.

  • Preset folder location in Win 7

I need to move the preset folder to a new Win 7 computer and I cant find the
Win 7 location to move it to.  help?  jc

I guess you have "Store Presets with the Catalog" checked in your Preferences and your catalog resides on an portable HDD?
If you want to stay with presets individual to different catalogs, they'll always reside where your catalog resides.
    If not, you can
uncheck the "Store Presets with the Catalog" in your Preferences
copy the preferences stored with your catalog to the location you'll see in "Show Lightroom Presets Folder..." after unchecking the switch
From then on, you'll see the same presets with all your catalogs.

  • CS4: Combine presets folder of Premiere and Media Encoder

    Hello,
is it possible to use only one presets folder for Premiere and the media Encoder?
    C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\4.0\Presets
    C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\4.0\Presets
    Carlos

    The solution! :)
Now I only have one of these two folders containing all presets. The "other folder" is a symbolic link to this folder using this tool:
    http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html
Now it doesn't matter whether I am defining a preset in Premiere or in AME. It works fine!

  • Are the texture presets and images available in Adobe Premiere Pro free for commercial use?

Are the texture presets and images available in Adobe Premiere Pro free for commercial use (in this case, an image of a film reel is being used on a book cover)?

What the other users have said is correct. Premiere captures through FireWire or through SDI/HDMI via a 3rd party solution.
For your situation I would say the best bet is to connect you camera to your computer via USB or use a card reader and copy the entire directory to your hard drive and ingest into Premiere via Media Browser.
If you Google 'how to make stop motion in premiere pro' there are tons of great tutorials.

  • Cs5 / wrong presets folder , how can i fix it?

    hi
on my laptop i have photoshop cs5 64bit , and i have a problem with preset folder
when i try to save black and white adjustament layer , photoshop points to a wrong folder
it points on my data partition
    how can i fix it?
maybe a solution that is not a reset of all my preferences
    thanks

Can you not just navigate to the correct preset folder in the save dialog?
Photoshop has a habit of remembering folders you navigate to.  So the next time you save things like actions it saves the save path location.  The next time you save an action Photoshop will default to the location but you can navigate back to Photoshop Preset Actions folder and save there.
I never save My actions into Adobe created folders.  Most of the stuff I add to Photoshop I save in my own folders not Adobe created folders.   Some things to I do let Photoshop save into Adobe default locations like my users preferences  additions like workspaces.  Adobe migration works well migrating those presets well.
Thing l Photoshop like Scripts and Plug-in I maintain in my own file system trees and link to these from Adobe folders.  All versions of Photoshop share my files system threes.  The Are a few exceptions some third party add-ons are coded in such a way the will only work when installed into Adobe default locations for Plug-in and scripts.  I seem to need to keep more and more versions of Photoshop installed these days.  New versions get new features added and old features removed. You never know what will be removed these days.
