NO TOOL BARS...TAB DOESN'T HELP

I DO NOT HAVE ANY TOOL BARS IN MY ILLUSTRATOR. I HAVE TRIED SELECTING "TAB" AS I THOUGHT THEY WERE HIDDEN BUT THAT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHERE THEY ARE?

Hi,
1) Try pressing key "F". If that doesn't work then try step 2
2) Try cleaning the Illustrator preferences and then launch Illustrator and respond if the issue still persists.
You can clear the preferences by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during Illustrator startup

(1) Firefox chews up memory - 1 GB+ over time (closing tabs doesn't help); (2) every 30 sec. or so it freezes briefly.

2.5 GB memory, 2.8 GHz P4.
Using FF 3.6.16. Last 2 minor upgrades happened auto. , without my permission (another irritant).
I routinely clear the cache (all options checked off), and this has little to no effect on either #1 or #2. Whenever I restart FF, it takes less than 24 hours to get back to memory-hog state. Regardless of number of tabs - I've tested that too, even just a couple of tabs over time will see memory swallowed up.

I am Unable to Customize Toolbars using Firefox 4RC1; For example, when I attempt to move the FTP Add-on Icon to a Tool Bar it doesn't work; the same is true if I attempt to move the Cut | Paste Icons to a toolbar.

How do I stop the side bar from popping up in the left side of my screen when I click on a bookmark on my tool bar?

I just got a new laptop, and redownloaded mozilla as my browser. I've set up my tool bar tabs but when I click them they only appear on the left side bar when I click them. This didn't happen before on my previous laptop, so I'm confused on how to get it to stop opening the sidebar when I click them, and have them instead appear in my main window.

Opening in the sidebar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website.
You can check the properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the sidebar (Ctrl+B; Command+B on Mac).
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right.
Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.

I was having trouble and some Technician came into my computer and put me on Mozilla Firefox, with Window LiveMail along with my AOL email address so I wouldn't have to change it, I've had it for years with Window XP, it works well but I'm 81 yrs old, and don't comprehend like I used too, the only thing I think will help me more is to use Mozilla Firefox tool bar along with my Aol tool bar, hope you can help me, I can't figure out new things anymore but there are time when they say the tool bar will say one thing but I can't find it on AOL tool bar

I also used superantispyware to remove what was left after I used the add and remove that's in the control panel and after that I had to use the repair utility in superantispyware to be able to log back on.

When I open firefox my screen fills up and I don't have the top part with the tool bar or tabs. How do I fix this. It does not do this with explorer

When I open firefox the whole screen fills with the firefox page but no tabs or toolbar at the top of the screen. It does not do this if I use Internet Explorer. I can google say, my email of facebook and I can get there but there is no way to get out of this page, no "red" X to close the sight.

Just noticed your mention of missing the red "X" (red background), are you also missing the vertical scrollbar on the right side.

If you are referring to not being able to close a tab, you will not see the "X" on a tab if it is the last tab, in fact you may not even see the tab bar, that depends on your options and on configuration options for how the close tab is to appear.

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox 3.6 that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

Yahoo is my home page and now that I have downloaded your latest version, as stated in a note from you the tool bar is incompatible. So....how do I print or save a web page if I don't have my tool bar!! I'm not happy with this - please help.

You've moved stuff around so the tabs are at the top instead of my tool bar. I no longer have the means then to copy and paste, print, etc. when I pull up information I might want to keep from a web page. When I downloaded Version 4 a message came across from Firefox that the newer version is not compatible with the Yahoo toolbar. How then do I operate these functions? I'm not a techie, and was happy with my old Firefox. Not a happy camper now. Can you help???

Wow! You know, I tried a variation of that, which was a complete guess, and of course it was absolutely wrong.
I had no idea you could stack DATE_FORMAT one after the other! I researched this for a LONG time and nothing came up like what you suggested, so thank you for this! I hope that this thread helps others who are or will soon be in my shoes. This forum is the BEST!!!

TOOL BAR ADD TAB NOT WORKING EVEN AFTER REINSTALL.

ADD TAB IN TOOL BAR HAS BECOME NON RESPONSIVE. UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL DIDN'T HELP. YOU CAN STILL GET NEW TABS BY RT CLICKING FROM BOOKMARKS. BUT THE BUTTON AND THE PULL DOWN MENUS DON'T WORK. MY FIRST SUSPECT IS A VIRUS AS I JUST CLEANED ONE OUT OF MY SYSTEM. MAYBE A BROWSER HELPER LEFT SOMETHING FROM IT IN THE CODE. THIS WAS ABOUT THE TIME THAT NEW THREAT TO MOST OF THE WINDOWS SYSTEMS WENT OUT. SORRY CAN'T REMEMBER WHICH VIRUS I CLEANED. I CAUGHT IT AND CLEANED IT AUTOMATICALLY.

Add ons tool bar and tabs disappeared when opened closed browser.

I have deleted and re-installed 17.01 three times now. The first time was to get into my bank site. The second because I still was having problems with downloading. My browser has been working well for about a couple of weeks. I was using the browser, closed it with tabs open (oh, and I haven't had a tab open alert, since upgrading to 17). Normally, when I reopen the browser, all the tabs are there and open. This time, the tabs were open but my add on tool bar on top was closed, even though it was checked to be open. I closed the browser, and reopened it, and not only was the add on tool bar gone, but now all the tabs were gone too. I uninstalled and re-installed 17.01, and nothing changed. I have come to hate 17 with a passion.
And, no, I haven't installed anything new, and I don't have tab mix (what ever that is) add on.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
