No Toolbar On Scan

I upgraded to Mavericks OS.
My scanner now has no toolbar, so I can't save scans.
I've tried to upgrade software, but keep reaching a step where it says to click on "Use" (in Settings Printer) and there is no "Use" visible.
I really need my scanner back.
How/where can I do a simple download install of this upgrade?

How do I restore my firefox toolbar? It was my main toolbar. My other one is google. And then another site tried to install a toolbar that I did not want. When I unchecked to get rid of it, apparently I unchecked the firefox toolbar by accident. I don't know if that's what happened for sure, but I'm guessing that's what happened.

Toolbar is missing. Clicking Alt and releasing has no effect. Help !

I seem to be missing only the "Tools" and "Help" menu items from the top toolbar - is there a way to get them to appear?

I tried reinstalling Firefox, but that didn't help, nor did resetting the toolbar settings is Safe Mode.

Why can't I use some form of parental control like IE to make it safe for my Kids?

I am just about to remove Firefox from my pc because I cant figure out how to protect my kids from the crap that is on the web!! I don't want them accidentally getting to an adult site.

How to view list of browsing history without much hassle?

When going to write or forward in Thunderbird, my address book has disappeared

I have to assume that I hit something as I was getting ready to forward a note to a friend. When I went to go down my address book list for a second address, I found the the address book had been eliminated from the left side of my screen. My only access now is to open my address book from the tools area and select one address at a time rather than the way I had been used to. I would just like to get things back the way the always have been.

Tools/Options is missing

Running Firefox 3.6.10
Suddenly the Tools menu contains only a couple of options and sometimes opens blank. I seem to remember being able to click Options to set my tabs as the current addresses. Obviously I cannot do this now.
The problem seems to have occurred having downloaded some software which included Google Chrome (which I didn't want, incidentally). I have since removed this software.
I have tried re-starting the computer. I tried re-installing Firefox on top of the existing one.
How can I return the Tools menu to how it was?
If I remove Firefox from my computer and do a clean install, will I be able to retain all my bookmarks and tab settings?
Or is there an easier way?!

With recent update I've lost access to my top sites--how get it back?

There used to be a blue symbol at the top of the page (to me it looked like an anvil), click on it and my top sites appeared.
Now, no anvil; nothing I can identify as an access to my top sites.
Top sites are all I have to find things; bookmarks don't work---I click on add a bookmark and when I try to go to it I'm told I don't have any bookmarks.

Was it the Most Visited folder on your Bookmarks Toolbar (see attached)?
One possibility is that your Bookmarks Toolbar is not displaying, or that your items from the bar have moved somewhere else, or that the blue search folder somehow got deleted.
Let's start by making sure the bar is displayed. You can turn it on and off here:
Alt+v (opens classic View menu) > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar
If it isn't on the bar, let's check whether it was moved. Use Ctrl+Shift+b (or Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) to open the Bookmarks Organizer (AKA the Library dialog).
Can you find the Most Visited folder anywhere under All Bookmarks? If so, you could drag it to the Bookmarks Toolbar.
If it's already listed as being on the Bookmarks Toolbar, hmmm, your toolbar items might have been moved to another bar. Let's see whether we can find them.
Alt+v (opens classic View menu) > Toolbars > Customize
Scan your toolbars and the dialog of available items for "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" and, if you see it somewhere other than the Bookmarks Toolbar, drag it back to where it normally lives.

Mymedicare.gov informed me I cannot access from Firefox, only Explorer. Why?

I tried to sign in to mymedicare.gov for over 30 minutes without success. I called their phone support and was informed after they checked all my information that they no longer support Firefox, Netscape or any browser except Internet Explorer by Microsoft. Is this legal? Why will they not support Firefox? I hate using Explorer as I have more spyware, adware and virus problems when I use it.
