No topic pages show when clicking on search list items

After generating WebHelp (Using Robohelp HTML 7) - using
search generates a list for a search term but upon clicking any of
the items on the list nothing happens - the topic page stays
totally blank - having spent ours on this I would appreciate any
suggestions

This may be a resolved topic, but I found it today when
searching for a solution to the same problem. In my case the
problem was not caused by (and not solved by) the Mark of the Web
checkbox: instead, it was, I believe, an apostrophe in a directory
name in the path to the output files. I moved the files to another
network location that did not have the apostrophe in the directory
name and the search results linked correctly.
If the problem was a directory name, I'm surprised that
everything but the search feature worked okay, then again I've
heard that bad characters can have unpredictable effects.
Before anyone scolds me for bad folder naming habits, it
wasn't me. It's a network drive named by someone else and shared by
the writers. I avoid any punctuation in file and folder names other
than hyphens and underscores.

Ribbon + s4-title s4-lp | Hides when clicked on the list item

Hello,
Using
SPSecurityTrimmedControl, I hide the ribbon for a user having
view only rights. Now when this user clicks on any list item (grid view), the div "s4-title" containing the logo, and title text hides too.
Please help.

I tried to find the div with id ms-designer-ribbon to make the changes and add the JavaScript. I failed to do so. Please helpme with me with this.
I'll try to explain a bit more:
The View Only user shouldn't have the ribbon for any editing changes. To achieve this, I followed the steps given in the article (URL below).

Now when the user clicks anywhere on "Line Item", the div containing logo i.e.
<div class="s4-title s4-lp">
gets hide. There should be some click event on the list items which onclick opens the edit option.

Child topics not appearing when clicked in parent project

Hello,
I have generated a Webhelp parent project containing two child projects in RoboHelp 9. The tables of contents appear for all projects correctly, but when I click some of the topics, they will not display, rather I get that message that my webpage cannot be found. Most of the topics work fine when clicked.
If it helps, it seems that the topics that won't display are ones that are new or have recent edits.
I've tried regenerating my projects and re-creating the TOCs, but I am not sure what else I can try. When I generate the child projects on their own, all topics work fine, it is only when merged as a child project in the main project that the topics won't show.

It looks like I was wrong, it isn't just new topics, it is a mix of old and new topics that aren't appearing.
When I look into the folders of the generated merged topics, it looks like these topic files are not generating.
For example:
I generate parent project GP and its topics work fine.
I generate parent project LR and its topics work fine.
I generate project GP as a child project merged in parent project LR, several of child project GP's topic files have not generated.
I tried to move the missing files from the main GP generated folders into LR's child version of GP where they should appear, but I get this message: "Cannot move file abcd: The filename, directory name, or volume syntax is incorrect".
The topics that did generate properly, both new and old, do appear to open to the correct pages when clicked in the TOC.

Blank page produced when clicking on title of Content Area Portlet in version 3.0.8

We are getting a blank page when we click the title of the ContentArea/Folder portlet in a page. The problem is with the URL, which has _mode=6 as a parameter. When we reoved that parameter from the url content area is loaded accurately. Can you please tell us how to fix this bug. We are using 3.0.8.

DHTML Tree - Expand on click on the List Item Label

Hello,
I'd like that when the user click on the List Item Label the sublist expand. I tryed with javascript:htmldb_ToggleWithImage() but I don't know what the first parameter is. I think it is the "+" image.
Do you know a beter way for achieving this?

My music page will not show when clicked on?

Hi im having difficulty to get my ipod to load my music page when clicked on and dont know what to do to fix it? I was wondering if someone would be able to help me.

Try the following. Usually the first ones works:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Incorrect Website being displayed when CLICKING from Search engine

When CLICKING on a Website address from using a search engine, or entering it directly, the WRONG address is displayed.
It DOES have the correct address, but the DISPLAY is not the one I am looking for. Same if using the IE rendering Facility, same results if using AdBlock OFF.
Only if using IE Directly as the Browser, is the CORRECT Website displayed.
A friend of mine has NO problems in doing the same,
for the same Website address, with FF.
As far as I know, other Websites are not affected !

How to get the page number when click the(Next page) Icon on Tableview

Hi all,
       I had implemented a tableview in one of the Views that I had implemented for a BSP application. I am using MVC framework.
Let us assume when we execute the BSP and a table view got 11 pages.
How I can keep track of the page number when we click the (Next page, Previous page, Bottom , Top) Icons on my tableview . Is there any attribute willstore that corresponding page number of the tableview when we click the corresponding Icon's??
I had checked both CL_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW and CL_HTMLB_EVENT_TABLEVIEW Classes and i don't find any attribute.
Any help will be appreciated.

PDF checkmark not showing when click in box

It's most likely a problem with the way the author of the file set up the field. You should report it to them. You can't do much about it in Reader.

Network Menu Not Showing when clicked on under Go

I have "lost" my Network under Go! I have my iMac and PC connected. I am using a NetGear router and ethernet connection. Both computers connect with the internet and share a printer and scanner also.
At one time, I had both computers able to "see" each other and I was able to grab files from my PC for use on my iMac. Then, something happened, I don't know what it was but suddenly I was unable to do that.
Firewall is turned off on PC security center and also in Norton on PC.
Through terminal windows, I can "ping" each computer on the other computer so there is communication now between the two computers.
PROBLEM:
Under Go when I click on Network - no window or menu appears - except occasionally the window flashes on the desktop for one to two seconds and vanishes before anything can be really seen.
Also under Go when click on "Computer" a window comes up with an icon for my harddrive and an icon for Network showing. However, when I click on the Network icon, nothing happens or shows.
Under System Preferences, when I click on Network nothing happens or shows.
How can I get Network showing the two computer and working correctly?
I hope this is understandable and I'm asking the right questions. Otherwise, please fill me in.

Have latest updates for mac and iPhoto. several of "events" now show as grey squares with a plan tree, no thumbnails when scrolling over as before. Photos show when clicking on icon but not visible as a group. What gives?

Have the latest updates on my iMac and iphoto. Recently several "Event" folders have turned to grey with a palm tree in the corner. Before there was a "key" photo to help identify the event. The event title is still at the bottom of the square but no key photo. When i click on the icon, the photos that it contained show up, but when closed again disappear. How do I correct this annoyance?
Also: One event that contains about 12 photos has a problem---some of the photos when clicked will enlarge and show individually on the screen and print out, while others when clicken on show a black background with an exclamation mark and will not print. Thoughts?

Blank page showing when changing from two column to one column pages

This is the scenario:
Document with two master pages - Page1 has two content areas - left column and right column, Page 2 has one content area the full page width named 'FullPage'
One page set named PageSetOne - with multiple subforms, each with Pagination setting of Following Previous and Continue filling parent.
Second page set named PageSetTwo - this has a single subform with Pagination setting of place on Page2. The child subform has itself a subform with Pagination setting of Place in Content Area 'FullPage'.
     This page set is initially set to be Hidden.
Third page set named PageSetThree - this has a single subform with Pagination setting of place in Page 1 and a child subform with Pagination setting of Following Previous.
[Obviously I am simplifying names and content here].
The problem is this: when in design mode, there is a blank page showing at the end of the document whenever there are sufficient subforms in PageSetOne such that subforms are displayed in the right hand column.
When subforms are removed so that nothing is showing in the right hand column then the blank page goes away.
I have put a marker subform immediately after the last subform in PageSetThree and can see that the blank page is showing after this.
Also, the following problem:
     When in preview mode, the extra blank page at the end does not display (which is good)
     BUT if the hidden PageSetTwo is made to be visible AND there is content showing in the right hand column prior to it,
     THEN a blank page is displayed just before the newly displayed PageSetTwo page (a single column page on Master page Page2).
I have tried every combination of Pagination Place before and after settings and can find no way to avoid the blank pages.
Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on and how I can avoid these blanks showing up?

I have finally managed to solve this problem.
The issue was not a subform extending too far out, it was a pagination setting, as Niall suggested.
I created a blank document to analyse the issue closely, and lo, my new blank doc with all default settings, worked perfectly.
So I revisited my forms and compared the pagination settings subform by subform.
This is what I had to change to ensure that all pages flowed with no extras:
PageSetOne (which is supposed to show using the two column master)
set the top page Place = ‘In Content Area Leftcolumn’ and After=Continue filling parent
All child subforms each with Pagination setting of Following Previous and Continue filling parent.
PageSetTwo (to show in the full page column Master)
set the top page Place = ‘In Content Area FullPage’ and After=Continue filling parent
All child subforms each with Pagination setting of Following Previous and Continue filling parent.
PageSetThree ( back to two column master)
set the top page Place = ‘On Page1’ and After=Continue filling parent
All child subforms each with Pagination setting of Following Previous and Continue filling parent.
I discovered that the critical setting was for PageSetOne. The After setting needed to be Continue filling Parent
Once I had those settings in order then the form performed as required.
This has been a frustrating learning experience but at least ultimately successful.

Firefox in Mac OS X opens home page twice when clicking 'home' button

Using Firefox 3.6.3 on Mac OS X 10.6.3
When clicking on 'Home' button in the browser, the home page loads in the current tab, but Firefox also opens a new tab and opens the home page there too.
Not disastrous, but quite irritating.

It could just be that the home page setting was accidentally changed to this. Firefox can be set to have multiple tabs open as the home page. Try resetting your home page - [[How to set the home page]].

PerformancePoint Designer is not loading when clicking on "Add new item" from PerformancePoint Content List

Hello,
I am using Internet Explorer 9 to create a new item by launching Performance Point Dashboard Designer from browser.
When i click on "Add new item", an Iframe will open showing dashboard design redirect which keep loading for couple of minutes and the designer never opens.
Yes, there are working workarounds like opening these links in other tab or opening dashboard designer directly or by clicking on "Run Dashboard Designer" from BI Center homepage.
However, Can someone please help me how to get designer opened when "Add new item" has been clicked from PerformancePoint Content List from browser?

An Update :
I found this is due to the browser limitation.
I have downgraded my Internet Explorer Browser to IE 8 and did the following changes in my browser settings.
Tools --> Internet Options --> Navigate to Security Tab --> Click on Custom Level Button --> Under Download --> Select "Enable" radio box for Automatic Prompting for File Downloads.
Sadly, I cannot ask users to downgrade their browser to IE 8 because MS already stopped support for this browser and there are no other solution for this except going by workarounds.
This clearly says why people are moving away from PerformancePoint Services in SharePoint.

Infoview freezes when click on "Document List" on IE

Hello All,
Description of Problem or Question:
We have few users experienced this strange issue:
Users can log on to Business Object Infoview;
they can surf to Preferences, Home, etc...;
however, when they click on "Document List" or "My Favorites" IE seems to be frozen;
this only happened to IE, when users use firefox, they do not have any issue.
Does anyone knows any work around on this issue?
Product\Version\Service Pack\Fixpack (if applicable):
Business Objects Enterprise 3.1, SP2, FP2.7
Relevant Environment Information (OS & version, java or .net & version, DB & version):
End user is using Windows 7, this issue occurred on both 32 bits and 64 bits,
Java Version 6 Update 21
What has already been tried (where have you searched for a solution to your question/problem):
We tried to clear IE cache, restore to default settings,
update Java, uninstall Java, reinstall Java, clear Java cache.
none of above seems to remedy the issue.
Steps to Reproduce (if applicable):
we have to terminate the process from Task Manager,
however, once, users log on to Infoview, then click on "Document List" IE hangs again.

Wow, I don't know how you found that, but adjusting the zoom resolves the issue for my InfoView XI 3.2 system too!
