No track listings

iTunes has suddenly stopped finding track listings when I import a cd. I had trouble with my Belkin wireless modem a little while ago and it seems to have stopped since then. I can get onto the internet, so it's not the connection. Anyone got any tips? Thanks, Martin

  • Is it possible in iTunes 11 to get the old album list view, with covers and track listings like in 10?

Is it possible in iTunes 11 to get the old album list view, with covers and track listings like in 10?
If not, then to me that is a huge retrograde step

No, the old album list view is not an option in iTunes 11...
You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
If you still feel the need to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

  • My iPod all of a sudden started to screw up the track listings! Help!

I am one of those people that likes to make sure all of my music in iTunes is with all of its album art, track listings, titles, album order, etc. are all correct. My iPod on the most latest sync decided to seemly arbitrarily scramble some of my albums such that the track listing is out of order. The funny thing is that it is all properly ordered  in iTunes (as it has been for quite some time). The point is I haven't changed anything in my iTunes and it started to do this without any known provocation.
Is anyone else having this problem? I wish I could try to fix it but I do see anything I can do.
    Please help!
    Thanks

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Can't get track listings correct in playlists

Sorry if this has been posted already. I did a search but I don't really know how to phrase my question correctly. I'm a musician who uses Logic a lot and I like to bounce my tracks down as I'm mixing them and pop them into my iPod to do some test listening. One of the projects I'm working on now involves a very specific track order. When I create a playlist in iTunes I set the tracks up fine...everything is the same, artist, album name, track number etc...But when I open my iPod after importing, the track listings are totally screwed up. I've even tried placing 1,2,3,4 etc...at the very begining of the track with the hope that that will cue the iPod to arrange them correctly. No deal. Any help?11

Make sure the ID tag info is correct.
Include the same artist and album name.
Number the tracks 1-10 of 10 (or whatever.
The tracks play in album order.
Also, makse sure you have iPod Settings -> Shuffle turned Off.

  • Can someone please check track listings on Daniel O' Donnell's new album 'A picture of You' ?

Some incorrect track listings on Daniel O' Donnell's new album 'A picture of You' . A song "The band played an old time Waltz' is listed as track '2'. It should be track '12'' I want to purchase the song. Just listened to the samples. Please help.

  • After system restore I get double track listings

I had to restore my system, and after moving my music from the back up folder to the current my music folder, I re-installed itunes and it imported my music but doubled every track name. Just the name, not the actual song. Is there a way to correct this? Why did itunes do this? Thank you in advance.

    Welcomr to AD!
I'm not sure what happened, rom your description.
If you sort by the Date Added column, were there a whole bunch of tracks added on a certain date? You could get rid of them all in one chunk if that's the case.

  • Playlist prints track listings on top of one another....looks like big black blob

Playlist prints tracks all within one inch or so.........this has happened before.......don't recall what I did to fix.

After going through two Apple 23 inch cinema displays, I threw in the towel and purchased a ViewSonic 23inch cinema display. I am very pleased with it. Absolutely none of the backlight bleed that was a problem with the Apple monitor. They accepted the return without any restocking fee, leading me to believe Apple is aware a problem exists with them.

  • Classical Music Track Listings

Even my ancient monochrome LCD iPod could present scrolling track titles when there were too many characters to display at once. On the iPod Touch (2G), such titles are truncated with an ellipsis (...).
This is particularly problematic for classical music listeners. I just purchased an album of Bach Violin Concertos, and the first few track titles are:
Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major, BWV 1042, I. Allegro
Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major, BWV 1042, II. Adagio
Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major, BWV 1042, III. Allegro assai
On the iPod Touch display, this translates to:
Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major...
Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major...
Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major...
Considering Apple's much-vaunted design prowess, this is a surprising user interface flaw.
I submitted an enhancement request, but I wanted to vent publicly, too. I feel better now.

  • Problem with track listings

I have purchased and downloaded a compilation album. This nowProblem with track listrings appears in the album listing of my iTunes but the individual tracks do not appear if I look under the individual artists' names. Does anyone have any ideas why not?

  • How do I get rid of "EXPLICIT" labels on track listings?

While I appreciate there may be legal of aesthetic reasons for Apple wanting/needing to raise awareness of the content of song lyrics, this is not a feature I value and would like to get rid of it from those tracks where it is cluttering my iTunes listing.
Can anyone please tell me how to remove the red box tag sitting alongside the song title? I can't see any way of removing it by editing ID3 tags but hope there is another solution.
    Thanks fior any suggestions.

I don't have a problem with the labelling - given some of the lyrical content out there it is very necessary - provided I can remove it if I choose, which was the basis of the original question.
One problem is that the labelling isn't consistent. I've just checked the lyrics for the track on-line and I can't see anything else that might cause offence other than the word I mentioned above. I've just been listening to the Haim album in the last hour and the same word can be heard quite clearly on one track. Yet the download listing on iTunes and shows no corresponding warning. So either Apple or the record companies aren't being consistent. Similarly, John Lennon's "Working Class Hero" is well-known for containing a swear word that's more likely to give offence than the one I referred to before. The track can't be downloaded from iTunes, but I checked Amazon and there it is in the MP3 list - twice - and no sign of any warning.
Anyway, I think we've done this to death now, so thanks again for the suggestion, which I've acted on.

  • Track Listings

I am sure this has been asked before but I have searched but to no avail. I have been an iTunes user for years but have not worked out how to do this.
As a matter of preference I always sort by date added. I want the track listing to run from 1-10 (or however many tracks are on the CD) but it goes to 10-1 which really bugs me. How can I organise the tracks to show in the album order as on the CD?
I have Preferences-Advanced-General-Keep music folder organized ticked. It does organize it but back to front with the last track first.
    Please help! Many thanks

    Joseph
Yes it does and thank you for getting back to me on Xmas day.
Unfortunately I am aware of this and it does it for the entire play list. I want each individual album to list tracks 1 through to the end album by album. So it would look like:-
    Arctic Monkeys - Track 1
    Arctic Monkeys - Track 2
    Arctic Monkeys - Track 3
    Arctic Monkeys - Track 4
    Razorlight - Track 1
    Razorlight - Track 2
    Razorlight - Track 3
    Razorlight - Track 4
    Killers - Track 1
    Killers - Track 2
    Killers - Track 3
    Killers - Track 4
    and NOT
    Arctic Monkeys - Track 1
    Razorlight - Track 1
    Killers - Track 1
    Arctic Monkeys - Track 2
    Razorlight - Track 2
    Killers - Track 2
    etc etc

I keep my itunes on two external harddrives. And I sync one or the other to my computer when changing up my playlists on my iPod. Well I usually download my music to my computer and then move it over to the harddrives and then I erase the music from my computer's harddrive, but only the music! So I need to sync my iPod with my computer and I need to fill up the registry or what ever it is called in my iTunes library on my computer so that I can change around my app and music selection on my iPod.
