No Track Name in the Title Bar

In iTunes v10.0, when I right-click a track and choose Get Info,
the window's title bar says "iTunes" instead of the track's name.
This was originally posted in September 09, but this issue still isn't
resolved in iTunes 10.0.1

That's what it's supposed to be. The title bar is the name of the iTunes library you are using.

I doubt there's anything to be resolved. It is working the way it's supposed to work.
The track name that is playing it in the "LCD" info window at top of iTunes.

  • Changing the owner/user name in the title bar

I was just given my ipod nano by my niece. However, her name still scrolls across the title bar on the screen. I would like to change it to my name. I can not find ANY information on how to do that anywhere. Can someone give my (detailed) instructions on how to change it? Thanks!

Select the iPod in the iTunes source list, click on its name, and type a new name.

  • Is there a way to modify the name displayed in the Title Bar at the top of the Audition Window?

It's not uncommon for me to have a copy of Audition versions 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 all open at the same time if I'm doing some editing for a complex project.
It would be handy for me to quickly see which window I have open without having to recognise the icons of the different versions.  At the moment, each Title Bar just displays the Audition icon and the words "Adobe Audition".  I'd like to add the version number to the name, if it's possible.  I'm happy to edit the Windows Registry, if that is what is needed.
Does anybody know where the Title Bar information is stored?

I have an answer you might like Howard.
You could simply export one title to a PRTL file, then duplicate it using an Excel VB macro to change the name of the file based on a list in an excel file. You could type in a couple of dates, then just drag down to the 365th row and all of the dates would be there waiting for the macro to rename the file. Then, if you are really talented, you could find the appropriate text in the XML file and change it to match the name of the title, but without the PRTL extension.
That way the font and position and style would all be right and the effort would be in a file you could share with the world.
Hmmm. I might have to try that myself one of these days. Could come in handy. If you are more comfortable with Word than Excel, create the dates in Excel and paste them into a table in Word. Just be careful not to mess up the
Edit: Oh, and of course, you import the titles back into Premiere Pro.

  • Complied chm file displays 'HTML help' on the title bar instead of the window name

Complied chm file displays 'HTML help' on the title bar instead of the window name.
    I tried several ways like:
    1. Changed File>Project settings name and also set the language to English (US).
    2. Checked the Title name in .hhp file
    3. Used the window while compling.
    4. Robohelp language settings.
    5. Also uninstalled and reinstalled robophelp.
    But nothing helped
The title name is displayed correctly if the same project is compiled on another machine.

When the code in the HHP and the regional settings on a PC match, the correct title is displayed. Or other way around is also true the help title is displayed in the language specified in the help project IF (and only if) the regional settings of the PC match that language. Otherwise, "HTML Help" is displayed.
    Hope this help.

  • How do you make the title bar display different text than the page title?

I'm looking for a way for the title bar display of my web page to be different than the text in the actual nav bar created by iWeb. For instance, I'd like the nav bar to just say Home for my main page, but in the title bar in the browser say "blah blah blah."
I know there has to be a way to do this. iWeb has actually done it on one page already, but I can't figure out how. I think it picked up the title bar text from the first text box in the page. For instance, the page name in the navigation bar is "blahs for today" but the browser title bar when you open that page says "blah blah," which happens to be the first line of text on the page. The page title in iWeb.app, though, is "blahs for today." But if I look at the source code it lists title as "blah blah."
I'm guessing I might be able to work around by making an invisible text box with the text that I want in the title bar as the very first thing on the page, and hope iWeb makes that the title bar text. I'd rather have a more correct way of doing it.
Is there a way of doing this in the source code without having to change a lot of stuff?
    Thanks for any help.

Richard ~ The key is the default Title box that iWeb creates for every new page — it's that which you need to edit, not another text box you've created. And to make the text in that Title box invisible, see here.

  • How do I get the full current path in the title bar of a terminal window?

Is it possible to get the full current path in the title bar of a
terminal window? I would find that more meaningful than
"Terminal - tcsh - 80x60" (which I currently get). Doing
this would free me from wanting to display the path in my
system prompt thereby allowing me to use a shorter prompt
and having more space on the line for actual input.

IIRC, Terminal->Window Settings->Window controls that information. That said, I don't understand what full current path means in this context, nor why you'd want to display it in title bar.
Your terminal prompt is a concatenation of your computer name (SysPrefs->Sharing—easily changed) and the path to your user's home directory using the short username (hard to change).
    computer name:~ username$

  • TextEdit won't let me rename duplicated .html files as a .html file (manually typing it) either in the Finder or the Title Bar by selecting Rename or Save.

TextEdit won't let me rename duplicated .html files as a .html file (manually typing it) either in the Finder or the Title Bar by selecting Rename or Save.
I am only able to rename a duplicated .html file right after I create it, because the file name gets highlighted in the Title Bar, but after that there is no recourse. I I can Rename or Save the file if I want to just save it as a .txt, but I need it to be .html. I guess I can manually change the file later, but it's really annoying.

I remember long ago a similar issue with TextEdit, but I can't remember if there was a solution or not.
Do you have it set to Display HTML files as HTML code and also deselect "When Saving a File: Add ".txt" extension to plain text files"

  • How to insert image in the title bar?

    Hi experts,
how to insert the image or icon in the title bar of a screen, similar to the screen below.
    Att.,
    Luiz.

    Hi Luiz,
You can create them in GUI Status. If you are using a module pool program uncomment SET PF-STATUS '<STATUS-NAME>' statement, double click on  <STATUS-NAME> and you will be directed to the screen for setting your GUI status. There you can create buttons with desired icons. If it is a report program add SET PF-STATUS '<STATUS-NAME>'  statement to your program and follow the same procedure.

  • Adding a button to the title bar

I need to place a button in the upper-right corner of an NSWindow's title bar. In Interface Builder, I can place a button in the correct spot, but it is always beneath the title bar. To work around this, I'm currently using a subclassed NSWindow with a borderless mask and creating the title bar, including the stoplight buttons, from scratch.
Is there a better way to do this or a way to re-order my button on top of a title bar? It seems like there should be a simpler way to achieve this effect.

    > Is there anyway to change what the window is called when
    it's

The name you type into the file properties is the name you
    will see when the
    file is minimized.

  • Odd action using the icon in the title bar of image in psCS5--???????

    i use imac, lion.
by accident, i discovered that, clicking on and dragging the icon at the left of the title bar (actually within the title bar to left of file name),  i can sometimes open the
image in ACR,  as hosted by BRIDGE (which is not running. i do not use bridge).
sometimes the image will be duplicated following this dragging of icon, the new duplicate lying atop the image of the background layer, in the same window, and shows the diagonal bars awaiting resizing. if i just click the ("checkmark")  in the options bar to accept this new layer,  or, if i  press enter, i am looking at a new layer, which is a duplicate of the background layer. this new layer is a "SMART OBJECT", and functions as such.
this happens only with JPG and TIF files, not with RAW.  i have ACR prefs set to open all supported jpg and tif files.
i should note that none of this occurs if the image has been edited in any way. in fact, after any edit the icon in the title bar is not movable.
i am having some difficulty describing a simple and quick process. i don't know if this is a bug, a feature, or the result of too much RED BULL!  i Just reread post and it does seem delusional.
    can anyone help?

it seems to work with or without the shift key.
I work with OS 10.6.8 and you are right that it works without shift, too.
My surmise is that the title bar’s icon of non-dirty files (files that have no History steps save the Open-step or have just been saved) behaves like the file’s icon in the Finder as the behaviour seems to be exactly like a drag-and-drop from the Finder (as a Smart Object if set in the Photoshop > Preferences > General > Place or Drag Raster Images as Smart Objects, not if set otherwise) and works across files, too.
I don’t think I had noticed that previously, but that behaviour may well be fully intentional.

  • ITunes 9: "M:\" in the Title Bar

Before upgrading to iTunes 9, the title bar on the main iTunes simply said, "iTunes". However, after upgrading to iTunes 9, the title bar text has something different: "M:\"
I keep my iTunes library (and the associated database files) on a partition of an external hard drive, to which I assigned the drive letter M. (M = "music," get it?) Anyway, I just find it strange that the main iTunes window says "M:\". It would be totally confusing if you also had an Explorer window open to the M drive (the title bar of which would also show "M:\"). Is there any way to change the title bar back to showing "iTunes" before this "M:\" problem drives me crazy?

This looks like an intended new feature of iTunes 9.
The title shows the name of the folder containing your iTunes library. Presumably it is intedned to help people who use iTunes with different libraries to see which library they are currently using.
If you don't like the feature, you need to use the feedback option on the iTunes help menu.
I would guess that you can fix this if you don't like it by closing iTunes and then renaming the folder containing your library to iTunes. Then do a shift key start to tell iTunes the new location of the library.
Hold down the shift key and start iTunes,. keep holding the shift key until your are promoted to choose a library. Navigate to you newly named iTunes folder and choose iTunes library.itl.

  • "Backup file" appears in the title bar.

    Hi there,
I've been writing a VI which has recently crashed but I could recover it using the backup file. However "Backup file" now appears in the title bar as shown in the picture I attached with this post and I would like to get rid of the "Backup file" in the title bar . I've tried the "save as" option using a different name but "Backup file" is always present.
Could someone help me on that one?
    Thanks a lot

  • Hiding the titleBar??? if it is the title bar

I think it is the title bar not sure what it is called the computer teacher did not know the name nor could it be found. Umm yeah anyway I was wondering if in an awt Frame there was anyway to hide the title bar....
I am meaning with the term title bar the bar with the title of your program the icon and the minimize full screen and exit button on it...
Yeah just curious it would make my program look nicer if my popup window did not have this bar....
    thanks in advance

The title bar of a window is the most obvious portion of any gui and the fact that someone that is suppose to be an instructor.. someone with knowledge to share and they are not sure of the most basic components of a GUI is shameful at best.
And this shows in your lack of knowledge that a JFrame and a Frame are on a GUI component level the same.
So either you have not red any documentation or your instructors knowledge is showing through you.
The JFrame is a light weight component...... with
all the same widnow decorations as a Frame...
    Thank U
