No unicode for Azerbaijani language, so what is then ?

Hi,
I need to use Ə character in my projects but it is not supported with CS5
Actually Azerbaijni language requires following umlauts: ÜÖĞIƏÇŞ but thanks to turkish language i can use others.
So i want to use this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwa
on After effects.
Let me know please how to do this
Thanks,
Turkel.

Though from what I see this character is within the primary Latin encoding range and should show up without issues even if your system is configured to a different default language. On my system I can use it just fine (Windsows Vista, German) when I copy&paste it from the charmap utility and use a font that has all Unicode characters (Arial, Times etc.) so if it doesn't show up, this may depend on the specific font used and how it maps the glyphs to different ranges or your system language...

    Given file name or path contains Unicode or double-byte characters. Retry using ASCII characters for filename and path
    What does this mean? It is happening when I try to publish an OAM for Dreamweaver.
    Also: How can I specify the browser in Edge Animate? It is just going wherever. Are there no Preferences for Edge Animate?
    BTW. Just call it Edge. Seriously. Do you call it Illustrator Draw? Photoshop Retouching?

    No, my file name is mainContent.oam
    My project name is mainContent.an
    This error happens when I try to import into Dreamweaver. Sorry, I wasn't clear on that earlier.
    I thought maybe it was because I had saved my image as a png. So re-saved as a svg, still get the error.
    DO I have a setting is Dreamweaver CC that is wrong? Should I try this in Dreamweaver CS6? I might try that next.
    Why is this program so difficult? I know Flash. I know After Effects. I can work the timeline part just great. It's always in the export that I have problems.

    Are you an Adobe person or just a nice helper?

    My iTunes is not working, it says This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language.Please run the english version. But it is already the english version, and this problem occurs in all the user accounts. What can I do?

    Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
    Restart the PC first.
    If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
    If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", and click "Change". Select "Repair" and click "Next" as per the following screenshot:

  • What is the best practice for localization? One .rpt for all language

    Hi all,
    I have a question: what is the best practice for localization? One .rpt for all language or one .rpt for each language?
    Thanks for any response,

    What would be best would depend on workflow.

  • Liquid: What are the suggested best practises for multiple languages?

    Right now we are doing this:
    {% if globals.country == "EU" %}
    {% assign login = "Log in" %}
    {% assign userName = "Username" %}
    {% assign password = "Password" %}
    {% assign rememberMe = "Remember me?" %}
    {% assign confirmLogout = "You are now logged out!" %}
    {% endif %}
    {{login}} would output "Log in"
    Another thought would be to have it all in a string with commas and split it, like this:
    {% if globals.country == "EU" %}
    {% assign strings = "Log in;Username;Password;Remember me?;You are now logged out!" %}
    {% assign lang = strings | split: ";" %}
    {% endif %}
    {{lang[0]}} Would output "Log in".
    What are the best practises here?
    I would imagine either being slower than the other as well, maybe Adobe have some input?

    Hi Machinette,
    Use your first option in my opinion:
    A webapp where each item would contain a field for each language. i.e.  item 1 name login; en -> Log in; es -> Iniciar sesion. item 2 name logout; en -> Log iout; es -> Cerrar sesion....
    Here's an example of my multilingual web apps:
    FAQs:
    EN Question
    JP Question
    EN Answer
    JP Answer
    Testimonials:
    Title-NZ
    Title-JP
    Quote-Preview-NZ
    Quote-Preview-JP
    Quote-Full-JP
    How did you hear about us:
    Title_En
    Title_JP
    Multilingual Text:
    Text_En
    Text JP
    As you can see above, the items in the web apps form the different multilingual text - the different FAQs, the different Testimonials, the different Multilingual Text. The domain name needs to determine the language. Very important. And use a globals.site.countryCode to determine the language.
    The key is when you want to reference that item. I think Abhishek was onto it using JSON files, easy to select the text you want. If JSON files don't work, here's what you do:
    {module_webapps id="Multilingual Text" filter="i" itemId="4951580"}<!-- login -->
    {module_webapps id="Multilingual Text" filter="i" itemId="4951611"}<!-- Try Lesson 1 -->
    {module_webapps id="Multilingual Text" filter="i" itemId="4951612"}<!-- Join for free -->
    Else place everything into a collection, but I have hundreds of items, so I don't want to collect too many records. Only the ones I need per page.
    Finally, here's my code for one of the web apps, FAQs.
    {% assign countrycode = globals.site.countryCode -%}
    {% case countrycode -%}
    {% when 'JP' -%}
    <div class="faq-question">
        <h4>{{this['JP Question']}}</h4>
        <div class="faq-details">
            <div class="answer"><p>{{this['JP Answer']}}</p></div>
        </div>
    </div>
    {% else -%}
    <div class="faq-question">
        <h4>{{this['EN Question']}}</h4>
        <div class="faq-details">
            <div class="answer"><p>{{this['EN Answer']}}</p></div>
        </div>
    </div>
    {% endcase -%}

    Hello, I am doing a layout in arabic language, and I am missing option of change direction in paragraph. I read on forum that I am supposed to download some kind of an plug in or version of indesign for arabic language support, but I just don't know what to download.
    Can you tell me step by step what to do and download.
    Thank you very much!

    InDesign is from a technical viewpoint a Plugin Activator.
    Every function is a plugin.
    With CC and higher you can change the language in the CC app preferences.
    When you change the language, additonal plugins, necessary for that language are installed, with the MENA (Middle East North Africa) versions RTL functionality is added into your primary version.
    InDesign chooses to start the program in the same language as you OS is set up, RTL functionality appears translated into your normal User Interface.
    After installing a MENA version you can switch back to your main language.

    my laptop will not open iTunes, as it just says 'This version of iTunes has not been correctly localised for this language. Please run the English version'. I have not synconised my iPhone 5S or iPad 2 with iTunes for well over a year. I noticed the music which had previously been put into iTunes has dissappeared from my phone and iPad. I also want to remove some movies from my iPad and iPhone and there is no way I can do this without being able to manually sync with the Laptop which is running windows 7. Has anyone else come across this and please can you help? I am no expert in fact I know very little about the Laptop, it is my Husbands baby but he doesn't understand anything to do with Apple including iTunes. I will need any advise explained step by step please.

    Hi Shelady,
    Try downloading and reinstalling the latest version of iTunes from the first link below. If that doesn't do it, the suggestions in the second article should resolve the installation issue.
