  • How to show refreshed modal window(2nd report region window) - reposting

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where i scroll thru different rows in grid region.
    Moment I tab out from first row, I pop up 2nd report, where I show related detailed data lines for the tabed out line of first grid.
    So my 2nd window is a report region query, whose 'where' clause contains the primary key from the row of first grid window.
    On tab out of a row of first window, I have a javascript function, which shows 2nd report region using:
    var mywindow =
    window.showModalDialog
    ('http://MY-URL-/ebus/apexQA111/f?p=&APP_ID.:25:&SESSION.',myObject,'dialogWidth=800px;dialogHeight=300px;dialogLeft:50;dialogTop:50');
    Problem:
    On First tab out, I get the correct data display on 2nd window, which is related to current tabbed out row.
    However, If I tab out from next record, modal window pops up and it still shows my detailed data of first tabbed out row.
    Somehow the 2nd window is not getting refreshed/recalculated based on my new tabbed out row. I only have showmodaldialog in my JS function.
    Anyway to refresh the window based on new values of the where clause variable? and then showing the window?
    Please help!!
    Regards,
    Ravi.

    Hi Rave,
    You can refresh any window with the java script below, just make it conditional on the value of an item within your page so that it dose not run every time the page is loaded.
    if ($v('P1_MY_ITEM') === 'foo' ) {
    window.location.href = document.location.href;
    }

    I'm runnig a database with character set UTF8 and I have put in Swedish, Polish and Japanese characters into the database.

    I am not terribly sure, but it seems that you no longer need
    codepages with NT/2000/XP. Just the right installed regional
    options will do.

    You can view Oracle data is multiple languages using IE5.5/6.0

    This application should display the same sentence in several languages (russian, english, french, german, japanese, chinese, italian, spanish...)

    This is not wanted as written in the "Rules of engagement". This is a public forum, not a "help desk".
    > OK, As you said If I post only in a single group do you guarantee that you will check every time all the groups to answer my question/ find my question?
    Again, this is a forum where the question are answered on a volunteered basis. "Demanding" help is not the way to go, you can ask for help but there's no guarantee that you'll get an answer. If you urgently need help use the official support channels or get yourself a consultant on-site who can answer all your question instantly.
    > And please paste the URL of those rules that this is wrong. Since I didnt read that.
    It's the first entry in every forum, it contains the "Rules of Engagement" which say:
    Please do not Cross post.
    Post your question in the most appropriate forum; not multiple forums. This is bad netiquette and will might only aggravate potential repliers.
    Just imagine if everyone like you would paste questions in several forums.

    Hi Experts,
    I successfully installed IDES ERP 2005 ECC 6.0 SR2 - unicode on windows 2003 32 bit with oracle10g on my home computer.
    The system has inbuilt mySAP Business Suite components: BW 7.0/SEM 6.0, SRM 5.0, CRM 5.0, SCM 5.0, GTS 7.0 etc.
    I can find the data of the IDES model company in client 800. but when I login onto client 001 I am not able to access model company data with the help of transaction mm03.
    RFC connections are ok between the clients.
    I will be thankful if you could address my following query:-
    Is there any way to access model company data from one client to another client on the same computer.
    Please help!!

    I suggest you ask in another forum. This forum is for portal related questions. I will however say that the general rule is you can only look at data in the same client to which you have logged. This is the basis for all SAP security.

    In principle you can't. LabVIEW does not support Unicode (yet)! When it will officially support that is a question that I can't answer since I don't know it and as far as I know NI doesn't want to answer.
    So the real question you have to ask first is where and why do you want to read and write Unicode file. And what type of Unicode? Unicode is definitly not just Unicode as Windows has a different notion of Unicode (16 Bit characters) than Unix has (32 Bit characters). The 16 Bit Unicode from Windows is able to cover most languages on this globe but definitly not all without code expansion techniques.
    If you want to do this on Windows and have decided that there is no other way to do what you want you will probably have to access the WideCharToMultiByte() and MultibyteToWideChar() Windows APIs using the Call Library Node in order to convert between 8 bit multybyte strings as used in LabVIEW and the Unicode format necessary in your file.

  • "select your country/region" in PE9?

    Why does the  "select your country/region" window come up every time I open my PE 9?
    It is quite annoying, you would think once I tell it that upon installation it should accept that and not ask it again and again  and again!

    Hello Sue,
    Thanks for the information.  I had found the .ini file and added the country
    information but it didn't solve the problem.  Yes, I have tried reinstalling
    the program.  I used Revo Uninstaller at its highest level to remove all
    remnants of the program.  I then went into the Registry and removed every
    reference to Adobe Photoshop Elements.  I did computer-wide searches and
    removed anything associated with Adobe Elements.  I then downloaded a fresh
    copy of the program and installed it.  Still no success!  It helped with
    other problems (Organizer being very sluggish, especially in Folders view)
    but did not affect the Country/Region problem.  So, I don't recommend
    reinstalling as a solution to our problem.
    I learned something yesterday which may(?) have a bearing on this issue.  I
    was unable to sign into my Adobe Account due to an ID/Password issue and
    learned that when I opened my account I left the "T" off my email address
    (.ne instead of .net).  They had to move the problem to the next level to
    get it resolved and I'm supposed to hear something next week.  I am
    wondering (perhaps in ignorance) if this could be causing the Country/Region
    problem?  Perhaps my computer needs to communicate with Adobe to select the
    correct Country/Region.  Who knows? I guess I will see when they resolve the
    ID issue.

  • UNICODE data files with SQLLDR

    how can i load UNICODE data files with SQLLDR.
    my Oracle instance is on UNIX with NLS_CHARACTERSET WE8ISO8859P1.
    I have .dat files extracted from SQL Server using bcp utility with -w option.
    When i use -c option i'm not getting the european characters correctly like the a and e with 2 dots on top....
    when i load UNICODE (-w) file with CHARACTERSET UTF8 in my control file, it doesnt go thru. Any solution for this ? Thanks !

    I just created a unicode textfile on windows with some westeuropean characters and imported it into we8iso8859p1 database on linux using controlfile parameter CHARACTERSET UTF16.
    They got all properly converted.
    As Justin mentioned, unicode on windows means generally UTF16 Little Endian.

  • Menu unicode / codepage

    Bonjour,

  • C# MDI application: how to scale child windows when main window is re-sized?

    Hi,
    I have an MDI application that have several child forms.  Users can view several forms at one time, and users also are given the options to arrange the child forms anyway they want:  cascade or tile.  What I want to achieve is that if the
    parent window is re-sized, all child forms should also be re-sized proportionally.   The code that I have only work if the child forms are tiled horizontally, AND that I only make the main window wider.  Otherwise, all forms are scaled (but not perfect),
    however, the location is not scaled; therefore, they are overlapping each other.   I greatly appreciate any help from you.
    Size m_preSize;
    private void MainForm_ResizeBegin(object sender, EventArgs e)
    m_prevSize = this.ClientRectangle.Size;
    private void MainForm_ResizeEnd(object sender, EventArgs e)
    int iWidth = m_prevSize.Width;
    int iHeight = m_prevSize.Height;
    double dXFactor = (double)(this.ClientRectangle.Width) / (double)iWidth;
    double dYFactor = (double)(this.ClientRectangle.Height) / (double)iHeight;
    foreach (Form c in this.MdiChildren)
    if (!c.Visible)
    continue;
    if (c.WindowState == System.Windows.Forms.FormWindowState.Maximized ||
    c.WindowState == System.Windows.Forms.FormWindowState.Minimized)
    // DO not ajust on resize if a child window is at its Maximized state
    return;
    c.Scale(new SizeF((float)dXFactor, (float)dYFactor));
    Best Regards,
    Emily

    Hi Badidea,
    Once again, I did not explain my idea clearly.  I am sorry about that.  I only wanted to scale the child-windows as the parent re-sized.  And yes, if the child-windows fill up the view-able area of the parent's window, I would like them to
    also fill up the  view-able area of parent's window once again after re-size of parent window.  No scroll should be involved.
    Regards,
    Emily
    Hello,
    It depends on how you cascade or tile these forms.
    In this case, I would recommend you use this way below.
    1. Layout with splitContainers.
    2. Set each child form's toplevel to false, then add them to the panels of splitContainers.
    3. Resize these form to fit the panels.
    4. repeat #3 inside the main form's resize event.
    Here is a simple sample.

  • Unicode flag grayed out

    Hi,
    we are defining a new RFC destination: connection type = ABAP connection.
    On tab MDMP & Unicode, in window "Comunication  type with target system" the flag "Unicode" is gray and I can not flag it.
    I'm defining the RFC destination on NON UNICODE system and the target system is a UNICODE system.
    Someone know if it's ok or is a bug?????
    Thanks
    Regards
    Raffaele Pezone

    Hi Raffaele,
    this is normal behaviour.
    In a Non-Unicode system this flag cannot be set.
    The conversion always takes place on the Unicode system - therefore the Non-Unicode system does not need to know this detail. It always sends Non-Unicode data.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 and Dynamic Images

    Hello,
    I have a windows .net application that uses a listing of items in a grid.  The user selects an item then clicks the print button and that brings up a report viewer form and passes the photograph location in a parameter to the report document being loaded.
    The first time that this report is printed, the image for the selected item is printed correctly.  The next time the report is printed, the default image used to create the graphic object on the report is printed.
    In addition if a user double clicks on the listing of items, a detail form is displayed.  When the same report is printed from this screen, the default image used to create the graphic object on the report is printed.
    This is happening in multiple .net windows applications.
    Can anyone please give me an idea as to what may be causing this.
    I am using Crystal Reports 2008 with Service Pack 2 installed.
    Thanks

    The following is the code in the Report Viewer form that contains the Crystal Report Viewer Control.

    In the Crystal Report the Graphic Location formula field takes the {?MyPhotoLocation} + {Table.Photo} field to display the picture.  I have placed the parameter and the photo field on the report and the correct data is in the fields.
    This is the exact same form being opened and that displays correctly from the listing screen.
