No updates coming for my lumia 925

i have bought a new lumia 925 about a week ago. but still i am not getting any updates from nokia and microsoft for my apps and window. what should i do now????

Remove the Store app from your home screen and pin it again after restarting your phone. If you've a stable internet connection and if there's any update for the apps, you will start receiving application update notifications.
And for OS updates (Settings->phone update), if you do not receive update notifications for the OS, then there's no update for the OS yet.

I just had to share my Nokia 925 survival story!! Monday May 21st I discovered that I had washed my son's phone. It had gone through both the detergent and liquid fabric softener cycles. I stuck in a bowl of rice for 2 days holding out little hope for it. Rotating it every few hours while awake I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Low and behold I plugged in in this afternoon and it works!! Thank you for making some of the most indestructible products on the market!!! Love my Windows Phone

Is an update coming for 1080p support?

I'm looking to purchase a new camera (either Sony HX100v or Panasonic FZ150) to shoot stills and video. Both record video in 1080p. It appears that neither can simply upload to iMovie for editing. Everything I'm reading shows that iMovie cannot handle 1080p without the use of conversion software. I read one moderator (on this topic) say that the reason Apple doesn't support the higher quality format is that manufacturers aren't making cameras that shoot 1080p (at the high frame rate). Given that manufacturers are now releasing 1080p, can we expect an imminent update? I really don't want to have to bother with any conversion software, nor do I want to downgrade the quality of my video just so that iMovie can handle it.

only AVCHD vers2 officially lists 1080/60p as a 'standard'.

Lumia Denim performacnce is not good as Cyan. I have lumia 925 and it is heating more after upgrade.
What OS giant??
I reset the phone but still it is worst.
It heats like a hell.
Lumia is like wired phone. very poor battery performance.
So many Apps are not able to start.
I was happy with Cyan. Denim is not so great as expected.

I believe that is the way it is supposed to behave with battery saver On, so nothing to fix.

Lumia 925 screen freeze.

Hi everyone.
I have a returning problem with my Lumia 925 approx once a week since it was new. This happens on random, no particular tasks seems to set this off. Sometimes it is enough to press the volum down and the screenlock button until it restarts, but at other times it is necessary to have the charger connected, in order to make the screen respond after a restart.
Well...it does start...but it is rather annouing...I had the problem some few times with my previous Lumia 920 as well. And it makes me rather hesitant to buy a n Nokia the next time....
So...any suggestions as to why this is happening? Probably the OS, but not necessarily. B.t.w. I have the newest updates for my phone...always :-)

Welcome to the forum!
Did something happen to your phone before the issue starts to come up? Did you recently install or download any apps prior to this issue? When you you have the newest updates, does it also include the system apps shown at this link: Nokia Windows Phone 8 App Updates
Try also to do the tips offered at this link and see if the phone's performance will improve. This is for screen responsiveness, which is almost the same with your phone's issues: Troubleshooter for Nokia Lumia 925
Let us know how it will go.

Bluetooth won't connect WP 8.1 to Lumia 925 phone

Your up date of the WP 8.1 for the Lumia 925 phone has now stopped accepting ANY Bluetooth devices. FIX the freakin problem and send an update!

My suggestion is delete all the Bluetooth device's profile connected to your PC
And follow this instruction to sync your device

I need one more help....is there memory cleaner applicable for my lumia 925. Because some time i feel its slow working while long uses...pls revert as fast ad you can...

Hi, N925. Are you referring to your 'Other' storage? Have you tried to delete some unnecessary files on your phone like old messages? How about storage checker app?

Lumia 925 right earphone continually breaking

So I've had the same problem as a few other comments on this board about bad sound quality in calls which is annoying. Furthermore my right earphone keeps breaking, i know it isn't my earphones as I've used three different pairs, that work on other devices and a brand new pair. Because of the speaker problem and this i am on my third Lumia 925 and its still the same problem...anyone else experiencing this? Nokia do you have any advice?

Hi Aleksandarmoran, what is the model of the headset that you are currently using on your phone? You can try using a Nokia compatible headset and see if there is any difference. I suggest checking your local Nokia Website for list of compatible Headset for your Lumia 925.

On my Lumia 800 I can enable this hidden tool with ##634# with a lot of different facts 'bout my handy.
With L925 it shows me the colour, lifetime, modem version.
Can u help me?

it still works on my 920, but it is just the life timer that shows.
on my 800 with 7.8....it still works. so I don't think that they eliminated it until the wp8

LTE on ATT lumia 925 in Europe

i have att version of the lumia 925 and here in my country the ratios of the career for LTE is : 800/1800mhz
and i need to chagne phone firmware and how to do that ?
i tryed via Nokia care suite but it dosnt work for ATT lumia 925 but it works for Tmobile version and
how to get it worked for att ?

That will not work. You can't change the AT&T firmware to GLobal variant. Sell the ATT&T model and get the correct variant for your region or live without the LTE/4G option.

That's all I've heard - I do have a DX, and although have not experienced all the bugs with Gingerbread, I do have the restart issue and lose 3G connectivity pretty consistently. It's a stock DX, with only very few apps - bought it in February.

Update query for lumia 925

I'm using Lumia 925, recently got an update option for my phone and I updated it.
Its now showing lumia black.
But even after the update I'm not able to get the option for call+sms setting (for call block feature)
Can someone help me with this??

Messaging threads not updating - Lumia 925

I have an issue with my Lumia 925 and teh messages not updating. messages are coming un, flash up on thehome screen but when i go to messages i can see there is a new message but the thread doesnt update. This is the same for all users.
I have treid locating the backup so i can wipe and restore the phone but sky drive doesnt show it and i cant see a way to back up manually. i dont want to reset the phone without backing up first.
Has any one else seen this issue with messages not updating? please help....

check the time and date settings of the phone.
The backup feature in the settings does save your SMS to the cloud. There is no way to access the backup. You can restore the backup after you reset the phone.
