  • I get "Reading Error" when using USB connection from Ipod Touch to car radio. Any ideas?

I am trying to connect an IPOD Touch with my car radio via USB port.  Using proper cable which works.  When I connect the auto radio automatically tries to hook up with the Ipod but then displays "reading error"

The the car-system manyfacturer say it will work with your model iPod and its iOS?
    Not all do.

  • Different USB cable with iPod Touch 3G?

I'm confused about the issues with some chargers and cables not working with my iPod Touch 3G that did work with my iPod Video 5G. For example, my car charger no longer works - something about it "doesn't work with this device". I have read something about the pins in the USB part being used differently... I don't really need to understand as much as I need to be sure if I need to get another cable like came with my Touch 3G, or can I safely continue to use other Apple sync/charge cables from previously owned iPods. I started using a retractable cable (not Apple) and weird things happened so I won't use it anymore (it also worked with my iPod video with no problem).
Even the cable on the Apple store page does not say it's compatible with the Touch 3G. I'm afraid to use any but the one that came with my Touch!

The only cables that won't work are the ones from the original iPods that were Firewire. All USB iPod cables should work.
Your car charger doesn't work because it probably cannot supply enough power (500 mA required). So not really a cable issue but the charger itself.

  • WiFi Connection with iPod touch

    Hello everyone.
I have two main servers which I usually connect via WiFi my iPod with: a home connection which gives me no problem (I type my password and I'm in) and an office connection which gives me a problem. I can connect to the WiFi but once I open Safari a window shows up telling me that it is unable to find the server.
Do you have any suggestion, please?
    Thanks
    Matteo

I had the problem of Safari not finding the server. I searched this forum and found the following in a post:
    http://andrewescobar.com/archive/2007/07/06/change-iphones-wi-fi-dns-settings-to -connect-to-the-internet/
I clicked on the link, and although it said it was for the iphone, the fix worked perfectly. There were two DNS IP addresses to try, ending with 222 and 220. My roommate and I both have ipod touches and they both had the same problem. We both changed the IP address to the one that ends in 222, but then I had the same problem with it dropping off and not connecting. I changed mine to the address ending in 220, and now both are working fine with no internet dropping.

    Update:

  • Lost web connection with iPod touch 2.0 software update

I no longer have access to the web through the touch. It had worked previously to the 2.0 update. I noticed the lack of connection when a few of the new apps failed to work due to a lack of web connection. I've reset the network option and completely restored the ipod. I restarted etc. as well...
I can connect to a local machine with a webserver running within my network, but I cannot connect to anything outside at all.
Shy of rolling it back the the last known to be good software version (which I am not sure that I know how to do...) I have no idea what else to do.
Hello Apple?! I want my web back, now.
    Anyone? any help or ideas??

  • Can iPad connect with iPod touch?

I am interested in buying the iPad 2 and I also have an iPod tough 64g. My iPod has tons of movies and music on it. Can I import or view my movies an music on the iPad. Like airplay or something? Or by connecting it with the camera adapter?

Itunes is capable of syncing both of your iOS devices. Just make sure that everything that is on your iPod is in iTunes on your computer and iTunes can put as much of it as you want on the iPad.

There is no Info tab in Mavericks
if you use OS X v.10.8.5 or earlier. If you use OS X Mavericks v.10.9 or later, your contacts, calendars, and other info are updated on your computers and iOS devices via iCloud. For more information, see iCloud Help at icloud.com.

Working on a single computer with multiple users, I have set things up to allow each user to view and listen to the others' music libraries under the "Shared Library" function.  Can you then connect an iPod touch and copy music from a shared library?

Was your wife logged into the libray at the time you tried to log in? I have had a similar problem and it was because another user was logged into the library when I attempted to. I got the permission denied banner.

  • My Mac Mini will charge - but not sync with - USB-connected devices (ipod, camera, memory card reader). How do I fix it?

My Mac Mini will charge - but not sync with - USB-connected devices (ipod, camera, memory card reader). I have tried unplugging the devices, restarting the computer, selectively unplugging and plugging in the devices, closing and opening the relevant applications (iTunes, iPhoto, etc). I have tried using different USB cables.
It's like all of a sudden the synching service stopped functioning or recognizing these devices for some reason. The other ports work just fine (monitor).
The only USB-connected external device that appears to be unaffected is the USB SuperDrive and it works on all the USB ports into which I plug it.
    How do I fix this?

Open Console in Applications>Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens or doesn't happen.

  • I connected my iPod Touch to a stereo system phono input using a cable with stereo jacks (red and white) on one end and that plugs into the iPod's headphone jack.  The problem is that the sound is extremely muffled and bass-heavy, with little treble.

I connected my iPod Touch to a stereo system phono input using a cable with stereo jacks (red and white) on one end and that plugs into the iPod's headphone jack.  The problem is that the sound is extremely muffled and bass-heavy, with little treble.  I have to turn the bass control on the stereo receiver to pratically zero in order for the sound coming through the stereo to be acceptable.  Is there a setting on either the iPod or the stereo that I need to change in order to fix this?

The phono input is for a phonograph.  The iPod does headphne output is not that same as a phongraph output.  Does th stero have an AUX input?  That should be compatible.
