No valid acrobat serial number found?

I have reinstalled my CS2 with Acrobat Pro & after a disc crash where I had to replace the hard drive.
After I reinstalled it on the new hard drive,using the correct serial on the box, it keeps coming up with the above message.
"no valid acrobat serial number found. Acrobat will now quit".
I have tried reinstalling 3 times with no luck.
Can anyone guide me through how to fix this?

It is certainly going to increase your difficulties. Windows 7 was not released at the time when Acrobat 8 was available. You can find the system requirements at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-produ cts.html#main_System_requirements_for_Acrobat_8_Pro. Most certainly you will be unable to generate PDF files using the Adobe PDF printer.

I can't help directly, but when I installed CS5 I received 2 serial numbers... one for everything else of CS5, and one just for Acrobat... and Acrobat was a separate install

Adobe Acrobat - "No valid serial number found. Acrobat will quit now" message

I moved some things around on my computer from the C drive to the D drive to make space, including Adobe Acrobat professional 6.0. Now, when I go to open it, I get the message "No valid serial number found. Acrobat will quit now". I have tried moving everything back to where it was, but that does not work. I do not have the CD to reinstall it, but I do have the serial number. Where do I go to enter the serial number? After the message pops up, Acrobat closes altogether and will not let me do anything.

I have exactly the same problem as Oxbay - but, I do have the CD & the serial number. When reinstalling the program, it just loads, never gives me the opportunity to save to a specific drive (which caused the problem in the first place), enter the serial number, or ask which type of installation (full or custom). I use the program erratically so no intention of upgrading to 8.0 Professional, but do need the program. You can't get into the "Help" section for a detect or repair issue. Any other suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you!

We recently pushed out Reader 9.3.3 via Altiris and have found that after that is done, when users open up Adobe Acrobat it states, "No valid serial number found. Acrobat will now close." I've found the following entry in the event viewer that may be of use. Just wondering why Adobe Acrobat can't find the serial number after Reader 9.3.3 is installed.
Any help would be appreciated.

It could be another one of the many conflicts that can be experienced by having both installed. Adobe doesn't recommend or support that configuration.

Purple Lobster your Creative Suite 4 serial number is for Windows or Mac only. If you were previously using it on Windows then it is likely you have a Windows license. You can verify by checking your serial number at http://www.adobe.com/. If you wish to run Adobe Creative software on your new iMac then I would recommend a Creative Cloud complete or single application membership. You can find more details at https://creative.adobe.com/plans. There is also a 30 day trial available for the Creative Cloud if you wish to evaluate the newest versions of the Adobe Creative applications.

I do not know where my Acrobat serial number is? So I can not download ANY pdf files. Every time I try to down a file it says you must start Acrobat to continue, then it asks for a serial number. WHERE IS IT????

Acrobat was installed on my computer from Dell the manufacturer. So I have no idea what the number is. They will not help unless I purchase a updated warranty. So I guess I am out of luck, because I will not purchase an updated warranty.

You are given the serial number when you buy Acrobat. Typically in an email confirming the purchase, or if you purchased on disks, a sticker.
Did you buy Acrobat? Or did you maybe have a free trial that expired?

i bought phoptoshop 13,i got a serial number. i wrote it. every time that i activate photoshop i got a mess that there is no internet to valid my serial number that i put. i have internet but i don't know why the program dosen't connect. please help me.

I recently bought new HP computer with Windows 7. I loaded my Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium. Illustrator tries to open then just disappears. I can not open PDF's. Get the following message: This program doesn't have valid digital signature that verifies it's signature. No valid Acrobat S/N found. Acrobat will now quit. Then: There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please exit and try again. When I exit - computer locks up.

These can be frustrating.
Try restarting your PC.
Using a different browser.
There have been reports that this can be due to router problems.
A simple way round it is to get a friend to download the installer for your and put it on a USB stick.

We have installed CF 8 Enterprise on a 4 way Linux server.
We have installed several instances using JBoss.
We keep getting this error:

This is just a warning that other instances with the same
serial have
been discovered. It does not necessarily mean you need to buy
more. For
that you need to check the paperwork from you purchase of CF
which will
tell you for how many servers / CPUs you bought CF.

If Adobe provides the download link for Acrobat version you are trying to install and you have an account with Adobe, then you can try activating the software on your machine.
But, before that please let me know what Acrobat version do you want to download.

I bought the Adobe Acrobat 11 STANDART on line at acrobat.com and when the validating screen appear PROCUCT scroll haven't the acobat 11 option, so doesn't recognize my serial number , because says its not product associate with this number!

I think what you are saying is that during the install, you are being asked for an option and AA 11 is not there. It sounds like you purchased the upgrade and what you need to select is the previous product in that screen and then provide the SN for that previous product. I may be wrong, but that is how I am interpreting your question.

How do I transfer an Acrobat serial number from one adobe account to another?

I've installed Adobe DC Pro on one of our user's computers. When it asked for an Adobe ID I entered the ID I used to purchase the serial number. Unfortunately now acrobat always starts on the new computer and displays my name instead of the end user name. So I'm wondering how to either transfer the serial number to the end user's adobe account, or alternatively re-associate the acrobat on the end user machine with the end user's own adobe account.

CS4 Acrobat Serial number not working on reinstall (new Mac)

I'm using Acrobat as part of CS4. It was a gift from a fellow creative friend. The install worked back in 2009 on my previous Mac. For some reason, the serial number no longer works when I go to run Acrobat. It's been rejecting the serial number on the CS4 package for months, now.
Help? I hardly use the software (I've a toddler) but I do need Acrobat's functionality once in a while. Thanks in advance!

Did you actually install the whole suite or is the Acrobat running on a separate serial? Ever had any trial versions on the system?

Rejects my valid original Serial Number when trying to install update

I have Logic Pro 8.0.2 installed with a valid serial number. Now I am upgrading to Logic Pro 9 and when I enter the new serial number it asks for the original. That's good - it means that the new serial number is accurate and wanting my original to verify my copy. When I enter the original, it always comes back as an invalid serial number. I have verified it is correct with others' eyes and reading it back etc - no go. My original is an Academic version - does that mean anything? But even so where do I go for help? I don't seem to see anything at the Apple website to direct me for help other than this discussion forum.
Where do I go for help getting this resolved short of taking my 24" iMac into an Apple store with my serial numbers in hand? TIA

My understanding is that 'Academic' versions cannot be upgraded. You may need to purchase the full version. I suggest a quick phonecall to the Applestore to verify.
