When I am tring to connect with My SRM5.0 and 4.7EE Systeme using trusted systems am facing probles.
1) "Service SAPms <SID> is unknown".
for this I checked with C:/win32 ../Etc services file and my system details are maintained.--Even the am geting the same error.
2) when am tring to set the SITE using Tcode 'SMOEAC' From SRM am getting the Error "No-valid R/3 system "

Please check the RFC settings in tcode SM59 remote login .. is working or not .
As per configure doc check the middleware settings anc check the sites are created in SMOEAC tcode

How do I add validation to a system-generated Selection Screen?

As HR ABAPers know, using the Logical Database approach (I'm using PNPCE) gives you a system-generated Selection Screen. Part of the specs I have for this report involves making sure that the begin and end dates for the period selected are for a two-week period. If not, I should display an error message until the user enters a period such that the period (pn-begda and pn-endda) reflect a two-week period.
The code for the validation is easy enough, and I put it in the AT SELECTION-SCREEN event. But here's the problem -- the code fires every time the user clicks the "Reporting Period" drop-down box, never giving the user a chance to specify a two-week period. It fires because pn-begda and pn-endda are still all zeroes. Even if I select "Other Period" from the drop-down list, the text boxes to allow me to specify the begin and end dates don't appear.
I've been working on this for quite a while, trying all kinds of things, but I'm spinning my wheels now. I just want that check to happen when the user clicks the Execute button on the Selection Screen, not when he/she is still trying to enter criteria. I'm thinking screen field validation for a system-generated Selection Screen has to be a pretty common thing, and there must be a good solution out there.
Any ideas?

Rob, I thought about that. I even proposed to the users that I could default in a two-week range beginning with today, exactly as you suggested, but they didn't want that. They felt that this report would more often than not be run to reflect data from two-week periods not necessarily starting today. Still thought it was a good idea, but that's their call. _

MCW_AA111 System not a valid BW target system for analytical applications

Dear Gurus,
Our project would like to use retail allocation strategy with reference to SAP BW, such as
Quotas based on SAP BW data
Top down (SAP BW)
Bottom up (SAP BW)
To retract the data from BW, we go to the configuration of Data Retraction for Retail/CP. (T-CODE: MCW_AA).
In the Maintenance of Queries for Analytical Applications, we wanted to add a new entry in the query list. We can find the Target Sys. But when we tried the input help(F4) of the Analyt. Appl. Query., the msg: "MCW_AA111:System is not a valid BW target system for analytical applications" prompt out.
RFC connection has already been established between SAP-retail and BW.
Does anybody have any clue?

How to enter the conditions in Validation at OB28, system is not allowing

I am trying to put some conditions in validations in Tcode OB28. But system is not allow me to enter anything. The SAP screen is in non editable mode. But I am trying to create Step 1 where system should allow me enter the prerequisite , check and error message, it means it is in creation mode where I have to enter input.
Please tell me the reason how it could happen, and inform me the process to create validation.

Cross Validation in Segmentation System of SAP B1

Hi Everyone,
I want to know that in segmentation accounting system I have set up a compnay with segmentation accounting system and segment wise g/l accounts are made. Now there are two Branches like Branch A and Branch B and each branch has segmented G/l Account. For example Branch A has a segmented g/l account for Branch A printing and stationey and Branch B Printing and Stationey. Now while making the branch A the user makes a entry in Branch A printing and stationey but if by mistake he makes an entry in Branch B printing and stationey then the system should alert him for the wrong code and should not accept the entry...Now how to check this cross validaion rule in SAP Business One. So that the user in Branch GL is not able to make any entry in the other branch GL which is not assigned to him.
Please let me know your views for it.

Cannot import valid MP3 because system says file is empty

Hello all,
I am trying to import an MP3 recording I did during one of my classes to Garageband. I need to split the file (roughly 300 and some Mb, with a duration of 3 hours and 49 minutes +/-) in two separate files.
However, after adding the file, Garageband says it is improting the file and then, BAM, error message saying that the operation cannot be completed as the file is empty.
Does anyone knows what could be the issue here?

but it is the first time I get that error ("filename.aiff" is empty)
The only difference here is that this specific file is much larger (and longer) than what I usually work with.
This looks like your file is not an MP3 but an aiff file. Is the filename extension set to aiff or mp3?
If it says "mp3" try to change it to "aiff".

Hi Steven,
Configuration Validation displays source systems that are available in the E2E Change Management.
You need a system to be registered in E2E Diagnostics and have at least one config store.
To check this start the Root Cause Workcenter and navigate to the "System Analysis".
Select a system and clic "Change Reporting".
You would see config stores available for this system.
If you see no stores or systems - you need to check E2E Diagnostics setup

Control.invoke() throws System.ArgumentException with Error message as 'Parameter is not valid'

While doing cross thread communication, i am getting System.ArgumentException with Error message as 'Parameter is not valid' when call is made on the control.invoke(delegate method, parama object[]).
I have checked the parameters, all parameters look good.
Please share your views on this.

I am going to explain the following Exception schenario.
The RenderForm() is called from different thread and initially panel.InvokeRequired is true as it gets called from different thread and then invoke() gets called.
So again same method is getting called and InvokeRequired property has then changedd to false and then else part of the code is executed however if i call the RenderForm() repetadely then application throws the exception as stem.ArgumentException with Error
message as 'Parameter is not valid'

Calendar validity till 2010 in System.. To be extended Further

Hi,
The Calendar Validity in the system is till 2010. We need to extend the Calendars to future years before the end of 2010.
Has anyone got practical experience of doing it? If yes, Can you share your experience?
I know of many notes SAP has on this topic , the most recent one being 1529649.. but i do not want to know about notes..
If anyone has a practical experience.. would like to know what are the points to consider. and what are the challenges.. transportable etc..

well it works as in the note described.
You have to extend the holiday/fabric calenders manually (the ones that are used in the specific installation).
Most of my customers use own-defined calendars so they are used to maintain them (some do it on a yearly base, some make it for a few years in advance).
They didn't report problems to me, but maybe your question can be answered more detailed in one of the logistics forum as accounting people are not that familiar with this issue (they have their fiscal-year variant and maybe some CO-verisons, thats it ).

Problem in creation of system alias for bw system

I want to create system alias for the bw system
system admin->sys Config->system landscape->portal content->my own folder
for this folder i created the system object
after creation of system object, from property category i select the connector and give the details.
after that i select the user management and give
authentication ticket - select
Logon method- UIDPW
User Management type- admin,user
i saved till now
in the display object i select the system alias
then that screen displays
In the system alias screen, i clicked on add button for adding alias then we r getting this message.
User Mapping Status: (Not ready for user mapping configuration)
Please give the solution for solving this problem

Unable to create RFC iviews - connection test of the system failed

I always try to configure my system to run an RFC iView...
The connection of myt system is failed for 1 of the 4 tests.
i don't know why.
I have filled this fields :
- application host
- ITS host name
- ITS path
- ITS protocol
- Logical system name (not sure it's correct)
- Sap client
- Sap system ID
- SAP system number
- Server port (not sure it's correct)

3. Checks the DQE connection.

1. DQE admin user ID or password is missing in the system properties. Make sure those properties exist for this system object.
2. Default alias of the system exists.
3. DQE connection successful. If you continue to experience problems, verify the DQE admin user ID and password properties for this system object.

Scheduling agreement validity

Dear SAP Gurus,
I have a requirement where delivery should happen only within the validity period.
I am trying to map the same through Scheduling agreement, where i can enter the From and To date.
When i am entering the schedule line manually which falls after the validity end date, system is throwing the warning message V1448.
I tried to make this message as ERROR in OBMSG/OBA5.
Still the message is WARNING.
Please advise on how this message can be made ERROR.
Is there any other way to map this process other than by using scheduling agreement ( delivery should happen within the validity period only) ?

The above message is being popped up from Include / Program MV45AF0D_DATUM_PRUEFEN_GUELTIG and I dont think, it can seen in the two TCodes indicated by you.
Changing from Warning to Error is definitely not recommended. You can however, definitely control this through your existing routine or with user exit.
