No VCRole found in Visual Composer

Hi All
We've installed the following VC Components:
1. VISUAL COMPOSER BASE 7.01
2. VISUAL COMPOSER FLEX 7.01
3. VISUAL COMPOSER FRAMEWORK 7.01
4. VISUAL COMPOSER GP KITS 7.01
5. VISUAL COMPOSER XX KITS 7.01
After logging in to the Visual composer story board, it shows the error: pcd:portal_content/com.sap.gm.cnt/core/VCRole is not assigned
I've checked through User Management to assign particular role, but unable to find any role related to pcd*. On the forums, it is mentioned that VC Framework does deliver such roles, which I've already installed. Any suggestion of what I should do next?

Please check the http port number for the .it should be like 5XX00 for http access

Hi there,
I have installed SAP NetWeaver 2004S SR 1 according to the installation guide which was included in the installation files. After installation of the system (excluding MaxDB Database Manager and SQL Studio) I started the server. After that I installed Adobe SVG Viewer and tried to start Visual Composer by calling http://localhost:50100/VC. When I do so, I get two error messages stating Server Error: Visual Composer services are not found and This product requires MSXML Parser v4.0. What am I doing wrong?

mh...strange.
I used the VC on our old server with my notebook without a problem (great tool!).
Now we have a new server with a new NW 04s SP10 (very fresh installed ) and there I get the "Server Error: Visual Composer services are not found" and "This product requires MSXML Parser v4.0" errors.
Unfortunately I cannot test it on the old server, because it was a interim system.

No Visual Composer server was found at specified address

After installing VC server and a restart of the Portal system, I can not connect to the VC server.
I was able to connect before the restart, create a model, deploy and test it.
I looked at Vis admin and the components are running. I also tried to stop the client, server components but I get the same error.
Any suggestions?

Visual Composer services not found

Hi,
We had configured VC on our dev server. Every alternate day while accessing VC it gives error..
a. VC services not found
b. This product required MSXML Parser 4.0
We had already installed MSXML Parser.
But when we restart the 2 VC services [vcclient & VisualServerEar04Composer] Visual Composer is again accessible....
Can anyone please suggest which will prevent to restart the services again & again..?

Error in visual composer

HI Friends,
I downloaded "SAP NetWeaver 2004 Java Trial Version" from sdn and installed on my laptop. In "Administration" user there is "pcd:portal_content/com.sap.gm.cnt/core/VCRole" role assigned to user. When accessing http://localhost:50200/vc, I am getting error 404 not found, The requested resource does not exist.
Can anyone please help me.

I've searched the SDN for "Visual composer blank page" and found those 3 things:
1. SAPNote: 954467
+In Visual Administrator -> Services -> "HTTP Provider" -> Properties . Add the following to property Mime: {.htc,text/x-component}
Close all open browsers and clean the client cache. Try to reload Visual Composer. If it still does not work, restart J2EE.+

Unfortunately, I am unable to find the Role 'VCRole' in our portal installation.
Is this role comes as a default with the portal installed roles? or should be created new one entirely??
Following is the path where I searched for the role VCRole.
UserAdministration>search iview->searched for 'Roles'

Error in accessing the visual composer

I am just trying to access the VC from the portal url. I am getting the following error.
Visual Composer - Permission denied
Roles specification: You don't have a Visual Composer role.
Contact your administrator to get help
What role need to add to my userid?
can u tell me how to proceed further. I am new to the visual composer.

you cannot find these roles, then make sure that you have installed the following files:
Goto the SWDC -> http://service.sap.com/swdc
Click on SAP Support Packages -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Netweaver -> NETWEAVER -> (NW04s or applicable) -> Entry by Component -> Enterprise Portal
Scroll all the way to the bottom and download the following files for deployment

How to use ENQUE and DEQUE BAPI in Visual Composer

Hi All,
We are planning to update employee Address through Portal for that one we did one BAPI which supports ADDRESS Change of an employye, through Visual Composer we developed the application and we integrated into SAP Portal but we are not able to update our records, then we found BAPI_EMPLOYEE_ENQUE and BAPI_EMPLOYEE_DEQUE, but we don't know how to use thease BAPI's in Visual Composer i mean how to make connection between out input form and thease BAPI''s and our custom BAPI's.
If any one having this experience please let me know.

Nice to see your reply, we got this error in R/3 it self, when we are trying to excuting SAP Standard BAPI we are getting this error "Employee/applicant is not locked yet". I think this is bug from SAP itself, do you have any idea about this one? is there any settings we need to do in R/3 for resolving this one or else is there any data we need to maintaine for our Employee Records.
Please resolve my issue.

Error while compiling model in Visual Composer 7.1.

I am getting a error while compiling model in Visual Composer 7.1.
An exception occurred at the server while running the build process, reason: Extension with id com.sap.vc.runtimeproviders.null not found. For more details please refer to the log file.
Can any one please tell me what the error is?

This problem usually indicates the model Runtime provider is not set properly
Please goto configure pane and check the RT provider that is et for the model or any other model in the same DC
Also services usages require this property to be set accordingly
To make sure the services are set properly please look into the configuration pane when the respective service usage is selected (and check the same)

From Visual Composer to Developer Studio

Masters I need some help here!
I import into the developer studio a *.par file, made with visual composer, so I can modify it from the developer studio.
The project don't compile because the "GmlDynController" class is missing, so as there's not import sentence in the *.java file, I searched (all over the PC where was install the portal and Visual Composer) for the *.jar or folder containing "GmlDynController" and nothing I found.
I searched all over the sap's sites "GmlDynController" and nothing was display.
I only know that is a class introduce by the visual composer and if it's use must be at somewhere.
¿Does anybody could tell me where is the GmlDynController?

Runtime error in Visual Composer

I'm develping a Composite View in Visual Composer using BAPIs. I'm using BAPIs just because my SLD isn't ready to publish the enterprise services from ECC and SCM/APO. The main objective is learn how to use VC to create applications consuming data from BAPIs, Web Services, BI Query etc...
I developed a simple application using the bapi: BAPI_LOCSVAPS_GETLIST2 from sap APO.
Inputs ports:
LOCATION_SELECTION - TABLE
Input: LOGICAL_SYSTEM and MAX_NUMBER_OF_LOCATIONS - signal
The problem is the following: when only the out port ouput is used, there isn't any problem, and is possible to compile and deploy the Composite View and the output (NUMBER OF LOCATIONS FOUND) is correct.
But if I try to select some TABLE out port like LOCATION_TEXT, an error occurs in runtime (compile and deploy without problems): Connection Error: contact your system administrator: HTTP request error.
I tested the RFC Connections and also, tested the BAPI using the Test Data Service and all the tests were ok and that's why I don't know what is wrong. In design time there isn't any problem, instead in runtime the error mentioned above occurs.

Data Source :ECC and SAP APO u2013 In VC is used BAPIs, configured via RFC Destination

Hi,
I think "Implementing a GP Interface" makes no sense in this case. Take a look at <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/vc/limitationsofWeb+Dynpro&">VC: Limitations of Web Dynpro</a>.
It seems that Web Dynpro in VC is not supporting all kinds of services and functions.

2 data sources in same chart in Visual Composer

Hoping you can answer a question for me.
Do you know if there is a way in Visual Composer to combine the output of 2 data sources into the same chart or table?
Here is an example of what I am after.
Inside BW, we currently have sales history for the company (i.e. monthly sales numbers). We can use a BW query as data source for this data.
Now we have found some interesting web services that provide 'market' type data,( i.e. some economic indicator) that we'd like to corrolate to these sales. We'd like to also chart the monthly value of this external indicator on same chart. I can use an external web service as a data source for this data. Howveer, VC seems to only allow me to send the output of this service to a separate chart/table. This is not ideal. I'd rather be able to incorprate in same chart.
If this is not possble, can Web Application designer consume web services? If so, I'd be fine with doing whole application with this tool.

Technically it is possible to combine to data souces using COMBINE, UNION operators. So the resulting table contains columns of two data souces.
You can use this resluting table to create a chart.
I have not checked this uisng web services. But it should be possible.

WebDynpro runtime mode in Visual Composer

We are unable to create and deploy Visual Composer projects with WebDynpro runtime mode due to we unable to see any datasource of systems in "Find Data Service" area.
In the same time when we use Flex runtime mode BAPIs in "Find Data Service" apears.

I've found the solution.
WebDynpro only supports Webservices as datasource.

Portal Activity report through Visual Composer

Hi all,
We are implementing the activity report model in Visual Composer as described in the Wiki:

We are able to find the required webservices and drag them onto the storyboard. But when we try to test the webservice Getcontentstat with correct input we receive an error:
Portal request failed. (Could not execute webservice, consult your administrator).
We guessed this was some sort of authentication error, so we defined a differerent user for the webservice in Visual Administrator and then we receive a different kind of error:
Portal request failed (Fault returned from server: )
Any suggestions are very welcome.

I facing the same problem when i try execute this webservice from soapUi client.
What did you did for to solve this problem?
The message is:
The User Authentification is not correct to access to the Portal Service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.ActivityReportWS or the service was not found.
When i execute from VC, returns no messages.
