No Verification E-Mail or Password Reset E-Mail

I was trying to access my account to order something yesterday and I was told to verify my e-mail. I waited and recived nothing so I tried a few more times to no avail. Attempting to reset my password gives me the same results. I tried the steps given here: http://www.forums.bestbuy.com/t5/BestBuy-com/BestBuy-com-Password-Reset-Assistance/td-p/820646 Still no e-mail.  MyBestBuy e-mail is the same as my e-mail here. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums and thanks for joining the conversation! I am sorry to read you were having some troubles accessing your account due to not receiving our verification email for your BestBuy.com account.
Previous customers have had success by simply using a different email address. I recommend checking your spam/junk folder as these emails can sometimes get automatically filtered there. In the event it wasn’t redirected to one of those folders, we would typically need to try a few other things to once again provide you with access to your account. However, it appears you may have received assistance with this already over the phone. Is this correct? If not, please let me know and I will continue to look into this for you further.

    I tried to login to my best buy account and when I got to a verification entry screen I never received an e-mail with the verification code to access my account. I tried to reset my password, but I did not recieve an email for that either. I tried checking my spam folder and trash folder as well as all incoming emails, but no email was sent. Please help.

    I imagine you were greatly disappointed to not find the verification email in any of your folders, as this would hinder you from accessing your account.
    With that said, generally we advise customers to check their email inbox, including spam, advertising, and trash folders due to filter settings that may be in place. As it seems you've already taken these steps, I would be happy to offer you a manual password reset from my end, which has been shown to resolve this issue for some customers.

  • Password reset or Verification email not received

    I am having the same issue with not receiving Password Reset or Verification emails that other posters are experiencing.     Can I use my existing E-mail address to retrieve my password reset through security questions instead of through E-mail. When I try retrieving my new Apple password through reset through security questions?  On the Apple id, it will not allow me to do so becasue I forgot my security answers to the question. I'm naming one or two of the wrong vechiles which is what the questions ask me for for security questions.
    For icloud do you reccommend that I keep that same E-mail address or create a new one for my iCloud mail aside from my G-mail address name?
    I asked support community for the very first time to reset my security questions and it wanted me to create a new user name for iCloud when I already have *****l for my original Apple id.

    Hi Gail it is a separate apple id used on my old iphone. I now have a new appleid and password which is functioning though the new phone is bringing up my old apple ID

    I've been having this issue as well. I've emailed and called customer service and I still can't login to my account. I get no verificaion code emails or password reset emails. They aren't in the spam folder either.

    It’s crucial to have access to your BestBuy.com account when ordering! It can be rather convenient when you don’t have time to visit the store, especially as you have the option to have your purchases delivered right to your home. I am sorry to hear you are unable to access your account, even attempting to reset your password multiple times.
    After reviewing your online account using the email address attached to your forum profile, I’m not seeing any of the usual indicators that typically appear if there’s a verification email issue.  As you’ve already checked your spam folder though, and you still haven’t received the email, please know I’ve manually sent you a password reset link directly from our systems.  
    If you don’t receive it or it doesn’t work, please let me know as we may always look into modifying your account to reflect a new email address to resolve the issue.

    Forgot my password for BB ID but when I go to reset it it, the e-mail that is sent to me does not include a link.  Instead of the link the following appears "body{font-family: 'Arial';}a{color:

    have being using a domain e mail for 5 years as of yesterday I can no longer login under this e mail. What has changed. it was working on tablet and cell phone but when I did a password reset on desktop they are not working.  How do you do a password reset if you can not get to the email

I have and I need to add that I have resdidential service purchased 1 year ago that verizon assigned me an e mail that I do not use and when I try as you suggested it keeps refering to that  account and not the domain e mail that I have being using for the past 5 years. I can not get my version to acknowledge that I am using a domain e mail that I paid for when I did not have verzion service. I have since returned to verizon a year ago and this domain e mail has worked for the past year until Friday July 3 2015

      There is no configuration option or direct way to customize this email. You can download the initial data files and extract initial_data7.xml from the zipped file. Open this file and search for MSGCODE="1056" and MSGCODE="1034". Once you find this lines, make the changes to the text after MSGDESC=" to the text you want. Upload this file back to CUP with 'clean and insert' option.
    Other way would be to enter the text directly in VIRSA_AE_MESSAGE table.

    If they forget their passwords to their iTunes accounts then they should be able to reset it by going to http://iforgot.apple.com or to http://appleid.apple.com and 'reset your password' - on that site, after entering their iTunes account id, they can either reset the password by answering their security questions and date of birth that they have on the account, or they can get a reset email sent to their account's primary email address (rescue email address if they have one on the account).
    There are some instructions, and screenshots, on this page : If you forgot your Apple ID password.
    If they can't get it reset via that site then they will need to contact Support here in the UK (as they are here in the UK), which will be by phone as they will need to confirm their id and that it's their account : http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT5699#U
    After resetting the password they may then need to log out of the account on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (tapping on the id should give a popup with one option being 'sign out'), and then log back in with the new password - that is to 'refresh' the account on it so that it knows about the new password (otherwise they might get 'invalid password' errors when trying to do anything in the stores).

    Although I have yet to be migrated, as I have stated in the past, I have a BTMail email address that I was able to create during a brief window some months back. I use this address for testing purposes rather than as a usable address. In trying to resolve this problem https://community.bt.com/t5/Email/Lost-account/td-p/1412356 I have suggested the OP clicks on the forgotten password link to reset it. As a test I have just tried to reset the password for my BTMail account and cannot believe what happens. Clicking the link takes you to the password reset screen which asks for your BTID and (wait for it) password!!! Given that the BTID password is the same as the email password how in God's name are you supposed to change your password if you have forgotten it? Please tell me I am doing something wrong or it is a function of my hybrid setup.

    I have checked and when I use the password reset on master account it gives an option to sent a reset password to either my selected alternative email account or by text to my mobile phone and when I try it with a sub-account it gives option to send to master account, which I chose as the alternative email or a text to my mobile phone.
    I guess it is because you have not been migrated. I set up these alternate email addesses and mobile numbers when I was migrated.

    Well, that's no good! Not being able to access your account would certainly make placing an order online difficult, so I can imagine why you'd be concerned.
    I've had the chance to look into this situation and it appears that the reason why you may not have been receiving the verification message is because you have multiple BestBuy.com account, each associated with the same My Best Buy membership number and different e-mail addresses. I've broken the link between your My Best Buy membership and these duplicate accounts and have reset both passwords to address this issue, so please keep an eye on both your inbox and junk mail folders for a password reset notification. When you sign back in, you'll then need to re-link your My Best Buy membership details to the account you wish to keep moving forward.
