No video after changing audio settings

Just got my atv2 and was working fine through HDMI cable.  I was in settings and changed audio setting to 16 or some other number and when i turned atv2 back on i get apple logo as normal but when it should start I cant see anything on screen and white led on atv2 flashes once approx every 10 seconds and then atv2 restarts after every 5 minutes or so.  Please help have I changed HDMI setting or something?

Surely some one can help.  I've tried it on another TV and same thing happens except screen flashes green every now and then.

Display turned blue after changing resolution obviously to some wrong settings, how to revert the process when cannot see anything but the start up sequence?

go into the safe mode and change the resolution, or at least reinstall the driver. Press F8 during initial startup of the laptop.

  • Satellite Pro L40 wont boot after changing BIOS settings

Alright changed a few settings in the bios last night and now when I boot I get a black screen lights flash and that hard drive light comes on but nothing on screen.
There was no password on bios,... how would I reset BIOS to normal?
I put a windows disk on I can hear the disk spinning but nothing on the screen
(I think I have come to the right place on the forum)
Its a Toshiba Satellite Pro L40 model psl4be.
    Thanks

    >There was no password on bios,... how would I reset BIOS to normal?
You can set the BIOS to default ONLY inside the BIOS so you have to access the BIOS pressing F2 or at the beginning of the booting order
But I doubt that this problem is related to the BIOS.
Maybe its just a simple bad luck that this issue happened just exactly after changing something in BIOS.
Try to connect an external monitor and check if you can see something on 2nd display.

  • Lost video after exporting audio from mpeg-4

I have some mpeg-4 files of my band and wished to improve the audio. I chose the Export Audio option and yes, managed to create an audio only file but seem to have lost the video. Have I lost it permanently or is it still lurking somewhere? I suspect that I might have to reimport this particular file so having done this how would you recommend splitting the audio and video, editing the audio (I use Logic 9) and then putting them back together? Or is there another option?
Thanks in advance for any help.

You could do this in either iMovie or GarageBand.
I would open a new GarageBand Instrumental Project. Drag your TV show file into GarageBand. Then save the project to an audio only codec such as AAC or MP3.
In iMovie, you would use SHARE/EXPORT TO QUICKTIME and pick an audio only codec.

  • Monitor says VIDEO MODE NOT SUPPORTED after changing display settings

HELP! I am about to have a nervous breakdown with my mac mini! I hooked up the mac to my Philips LCD via DVI. No problem at all. But because the screen is only 15" I wanted to play around with the display settings a bit. So I changed the resolution from it's original 1204x768 to the one higher (not sure of numbers) and to my HORROR, I now can't get any picture at all - it says "VIDEO MODE NOT SUPPORTED". I have tried everything I can think of. I have rest the P-RAM, I have unplugged all cables, plugged the back in again, I bought the mac into work and hooked it up to my monitor and changed the resolution back to 1024x768 which is what it was on originally and that STILL didn't work. I can see the Apple logo and then it goes black and comes up with the error message. HELP! What am I doing wrong - I can't believe one click of a mouse button has rendered my display useless!!!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Try booting the mini without the display connected, and then, once the system is running, connect the display. This will often force the system to default to a low resolution, and then correctly detect the display when it is connected.
If that doesn't help, with the display connected, boot into safe mode (hold the shift key down when starting up) and once the system is running, change the resolution to 1024x768, and ensure the correct refresh rate is selected. Rebooting normally ought then to give you a good display.
If all else fails, boot into safe mode with the display connected, and then in the Finder's file menu, use the 'find' option to search for 'windowserver' (no quotes). You should get 2 or 3 results, including one with a string of alphanumeric characters. Move all of them to the trash and restart normally.

  • Lost audio and slowed video after changing to WIN 8

Apparently there were drivers to correct this issue from conexant high defintion audio 220. Is there any chance that drivers will be updated?  And video has slowed down by 4 times.

Did you use the Microsoft Compatibility Center for Windows 8 . before you upgraded to Win 8?
Here please look at this link, the Compatibility center is in there as well as a lot of information you need,
    Basically it says
HP provides upgrade instructions and drivers for most computers sold after October 1st , 2011.

You may have to go back to Win 7, on the other hand you can try to load Win 7 drivers on Win 8, does not always work though.
I hope this helps explain where you are at and what your options are.
    Good luck.

  • Making best use of space for quality by balancing video bitrate and audio settings?

I have a couple of questions regarding exporting from premiere to encore/encoding in encore. I am trying to create a single-layer dvd where I maximize overall quality by using as much of the disk space as possible.  The video is 97 minutes, SD 720x480, 29.97fps, and consists of mostly interviews, as well as b-roll from hd cameras and stills, only a few title card graphics.
    1. I can use dynamic link to send the sequence which appears to maximize the available space, however I have heard that using DL is generally frowned upon and I myself cannot tell what settings it is using (i.e. vbr, 2-pass, etc.). Is my interpretation that DL is not the ideal way to go incorrect? If DL is just as good as a separate output, is there a way to find out what settings it is using?
    2. I have used a bitrate calculator and tried a Min: 3.5 Target: 5.5 Max: 8 output with PCM audio and I wound up having a little over 400mb of unused space. When someone recommended a Min: 5.5 Target: 7 Max 8.5 output the file size was too large with a single-layer DVD. I read that it is recommended that you use a Dolby audio output instead of PCM if the video is over an hour. My question is is there a best practice for balancing audio and video bitrates and data requirements? I understand that obviously using more data PCM is "better" but is it generally better to go the dolby route and have more free space to increase your video bitrate? Is this the type of audio difference that requires a high-end system to discern? Is the loss in audio data worth it for the benefit of greater video bitrate?
I know its a lot, just trying to maximize the space to get the best overall output possible. Thanks for any help/advice you can provide.
    -Nick

As most of my videos are closer to 2 hours usually, I have always used Dolby Digital, since PCM takes up so much space and I'd rather use that space to increase the video quality.
Note that by default, if you bring a .wav file (PCM) into Encore, it automatically transcodes that to Dolby, unless you had specifically changed the default transcode settings in Encore.
A decent rule of thumb for encoding is 560/minutes = bitrate, so 560/97 = 5.77 and I usually just round down a bit to allow for safety margin and menu overhead. This assumes using Dolby at 192k, so I would use 5.6 average bitrate.

  • Tecra A3 does not work after changing power settings

I changed my power settings in my tecra a3 laptop and now it won't start properly. wants to start but just keeps going back to press F2 or F12 please help.

    Hi,
where did you changed them? In the BIOS or in the Toshiba HW-setup?
I would suggest you to go to the bios after powering up your machine. You must just hit F2 ant then in the bios search for the setting "setting everything to default" or something with "bios setup defaults" to reset your bios settings.
After that your machine should boot up again.

  • Static in entire video after detaching audio from clips

After exporting, I was having some audio/video sync issues with my 1 hour and 38 min movie.
It was suggested that I detach the audio from the clips...so I tried it on my 6 minute preview with good success.  I exported the preview and the sync problem was fixed.
So I started detaching the audio to fix the regular 1h 38m movie.  I got through most of the clips and then went back to play a certain section of the movie...and I noticed that now there is a bunch of static in the entire movie.
How do I get rid of the static?
This also has seemed to really slow the project down.  Anything I try to do on the project and iMovie just tanks.

    Thanks for your reply Geoff,
I basically have a soundtrack 3.28 minutes long which I want to be the only noise thats playing throughout my interchanging video clips, so I would like to completley move the audio from the all of the indivdual video clips that I am adding in, I thought the 'detatch audio' button would be the one for this, but as I continuously play back bits of the movie to prefect editing I can still slightly hear the sound from the individual videos that I am adding?
So frustrating, but Im sure thats its something real basic that I am missing.....

  • No access after changing Interface Settings

    Hello Everyone!
Let me start by saying that i am quite new to cisco equipment.
I have a new Cisco SF 300-24 and try to configure a static VLAN.
I changed die Administrative PVID for a few ports from 1 (Default-VLAN) to 10 (my new VLAN is Static) in Interface Settings.
Now I can't ping from my PC to the Switch on the ports I have changed.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks!
    Jürgen

Based on your description I can only assume that the management IP for your switch is configured on the default vlan 1.
If you want to be able to access the switch from both vlan 1 and vlan 10 you will need to configure a router with access to both vlans. Alternately if you want to access the switch on vlan 10 only you will need to change the management vlan on the switch.

  • .GIF playing slower even after changing "Delay" settings..

    Hey guys,
So I rendered out a sequence of 10 files in a 3D software, brought them into Fireworks and created .gif. It worked fine, played smoothly.
Then I added layout elements, text, etc from Photoshop. Then I rendered it again.. and every time I do it plays slow, like the delay setting is enabled.. but it's at 0. I played it in both a browser and Windows Picture Viewer - same result. I tried turning it to the default 7 delay, to 1, etc. Every time it's the same result.
The preview before it renders plays smoothly too! I just don't understand...
I updated to the latest service release of Fireworks.
Anyone know what's going on? I'd appreciate any help.
    Thanks!

Can you post here the Fireworks PNG file, because I presume, if you try to create an animation in Fireworks, you work inside an editable Fireworks .png file?
After we see the PNG, we'll be able to help, maybe!
Creating Fireworks simple GIF animations is easy, in general. Default is, indeed, "7", when you specify how long each State will play, which means 7/100 of a second. You should not lower this to a number less than 7, from my experience.
I have myself created quite a few GIF animations in the past (AJAX preloder GIFs, mostly), and Fireworks has always worked fine for me!

  • After Effects rendering the video with the audio out of sync

first i exported the video on .MOV from Flash CS6, without any problems

  • Video level changes after render

I used 3-way Color Corrector to adjust levels on my video clip.  It looks good on the scope, but after I render, the video level returns to 105%.  I searched for this problem in the archive, and the suggestion was to change render settings to "render all in High Precision YUV.  I have done that, but the problem isn't solved. What gives?

Can't replicate your problem. Have you tried trashing your FCP preferences?
