hi ivangabayan,
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
This setting (Memory Remapping)  is set to Automatic.
changing it is not available like on most laptop,
Increasing the RAM can help on increasing the shared amount for the Integrated Graphics.
Best Regards

  • Increasing Dedicated Video RAM? (Intel HD Graphics - Satellite A665-S6086)

My Satellite A665-S6086 Laptop uses Intel HD Graphics, and I wish to increase the dedicated video RAM.
Through dxdiag, it says I have 1696MB of Approximate Total Memory, but I only use 64Mb according to: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI/analysis.aspx?name=The-Elder-Scrolls-V:-Skyrim&id=11231&se...
I went into the BIOS Setup -> Advanced, but was unable to find anything to alter the amount of Video RAM.
If anybody has a solution to this, please share it.
    Thanks,

...But you are not able to with the stock Toshiba motherboard....
Then you still cannot do it unless you replace the whole motherboard.

Hi: Yes, the notebook will be able to automatically use any available system memory in order to meet the graphics demands. Bear in mind that the system memory is not as good as dedicated graphics memory, so you can expect your video games to not perform at their best.

  • How to increase dedicated graphics memory on X120e?

    Hi,
I have 8 gigs of ram sitting in my laptop and was wondering if there's a way to increase the dedicated graphics memory from 384(?)mb to say, 500mb? I cannot find any option to increase the video graphics memory in the bios.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

I was about to say it's probably different RAM speeds between the two sticks, but you bought two brand new 4GB sticks in a single kit, right? Hmm, that is puzzling.
Here's a theory: Turn off Virtual Memory (the Page File). (Google to find out how.)
Windows 7 uses some hard drive space as virtual RAM, writing and deleting to it. In practice, it doubles the amount of RAM the computer can "see" and use, guarding against actually using up the RAM and crashing programs. But the size of the virtual RAM can vary, and Windows might have increased the size of the virtual RAM when you doubled your physical RAM. Therefore, Windows could be actually using the hard drive as RAM more than it's using your 8GB of real RAM.
No matter how much RAM you have, it's a good shortcut to disable Virtual Memory/Page File. It seems to make everything a hair snappier.
Battery life will take a hit no matter what, because the second stick draws extra power.

g580 (2189) i5-3230M hd Graphics 4000 video memory size is set only 32MB!! And there is not bios setting to increase memory to 64 or 128mb?? why?

    Hi
    Welcome To Lenovo Community
We are really sorry to hear about the issue you are facing,
Intel(R) video controllers do not have dedicated memory. They all use shared memory from the RAM installed on the system and reserved to the video controller through a technology called DVMT (Dynamic Video Memory Technology), which dynamically adjust the amount depending on how much is needed.
The driver uses a small amount (~32MB) of driver for internal housekeeping purposes- that memory is taken at boot time.  All other memory needed is dynamically allocated to graphics as it is needed - up to 1.7GB on a 4GB system.  This is more than enough for all applications that you would be running.

That doesn't sounds right did you check your BIOS setting to set more RAM for VRAM? That's that only other place you can make that setting.

  • MOVED: How do I increase dedicated video memory?

This topic has been moved to MSI AMD boards.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=183251.0

Thanks for your response. My issue is that I tried playing GTA 4 today and on the graphics settings it lets you know how much memory is being used for graphics and how much is required for the desired settings. Even on the lowest settings it requires about 200mb however it said it was only utilising 60mb even though there is lots of ram allocated to standby.

  • G500 BIOS sucks Increase Shared Ram

    System:
    Lenovo G500
    windows 8.1 64-bit
    1TB
    8GB ram
    intel hd graphic 4000
    SO heres the deal->
Intel Hd 4000 is capable of running new games with low specs. It does not have a dedicated video ram. But that can be done by increasing the shared memory from system ram in BIOS. Heres the sad part BIOS doesnt support this. Other manufacture like dell, hp , asus have given this option in BIOS to increase shared graphic memory from 64mb 128mb 256mb.
    Lenovo please  upgrade BIOS

Intel HD Graphics are not meant to be game changers - It is good for business (Office Software) and streaming video (presentations), and watching movies (DVD, Netflix). Simple games - Mahjong, Card Games and similar software will run without issues, FPS and RPG and the like will suffer greatly not matter if you assign 256mb or 2gb of memory to it.
When Intel gets into the dedicated graphics cards it will be the same deal as they believe most notebook users are business people not gamers.
Either way you dish it up - go with a dedicated card for better game play. Even AMD's APU is better at gaming than Intel's HD line up.
    Cheers.

  • How do I increase HP Envy Dedicated Video memory?

Hello, I 've been trying to increase my dedicated video memory in BiOS but I can't seem to figure out how to do it or if it's even possible. Any Ideas will be greatly appreciated, It's currently set to 128mb and thats pretty much useless for most games now adays. I read somewhere that games will run better if you increase it.  When I do scans on my computer that check compatibility for games, dedicated video is always the only issue. Product name: HP ENVY 15 x360 PCProduct number: G6T84UA#ABAVideo Card: Intel HD Graphics 4400Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Hi, Simply say: you can't. System will automatically allocate/assign available system RAM to graphics up to max supported. By the way, that machine is not a games machine. If you wish to play games on laptop, please set aside around $2,000. Regards.

  • 785GM-P45 with 1GB dedicated video memory in bios

has anyone able to allocate 1GB for dedicated video memory in bios and has at least 8GB of RAM. i had already updated the bios to version 11.8, with any 3 sticks of kingston 2GB RAM I can allocate 1GB for video memory in the bios, but the minute that i have the 4th stick install, the pc will not complete boot into windows. with only 3 sticks, it doesn't matter which memory slot is open, it will boot into windows and shows 1GB dedicated video memory. all the RAM tested fine with remtest. with all 4 stick install it will only boot into windows with 512mb dedicated video memory. thanks in advance.

  • T420 Dedicated Video Ram

    Hello all,
I couple years ago I bought my girlfriend a Lenovo T420 for college. While not designed to be a gaming laptop, we've been able to get by playing most everything without a problem. Recently I started playing Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn, but she is unable to even download to her computer due to low dedicated RAM (she has 64 MB, but the minimum req is 256 MB). Is there any way to increase the dedicated video RAM or anything we can do so she can play without having to buy a new computer (since we're trrying to save for a wedding we're pretty strapped for cash)? I've read in a few places that some folks have been able to build external graphics cards for their laptops, but I don't know if this is even an option. Thank you for your help, I greatly appreciate it!

    Hi,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Memory remapping for the Graphics is done through BIOS. If the remapping feature is not available in BIOS under configuration, it means that it is either set to Auto or to a certain amount.
Right-click on the Desktop and click Personalize. Click Display in the bottom left corner of the Window. Click the Change display settings on the left column. Click the advanced settings link and you can view the total available memory to the graphics card as well as the dedicated memory. The dedicated memory is how much memory your video card has.
Refer this knowledgebase for a better understanding.
    Best regards,
    Mithun.
