No video for ipad videos in quicktime audio ok

When I connect my ipad 3 to my computer and select a video I made using Quicktime, all I get is the audio without video. I can use a program to convert the .mov file to .avi and get it to play. But why won't a Ipad .mov file play correctly in quicktime?

  • Does someone make a wide angle lense accessory for iPad video camera?

Would like to widen iPad video camera perspective when using Skype app. Looking for aftermarket product like Phocus, but for iPad video camera. Anything out there or do I need to develop a start-up myself?

There are a number of lens kits available that will work on the iPad, but I've never seen one that will work on the forward lense (which is what I assum you are looking for). Doesn't mean there isn't one however.

  • Jabber for iPad video issue

How can I troubleshoot video issues?
I setup the iPad device (G711) and then placed a call to a Jabber for Windows (G729) phone. Audio worked fine but no video. I changed the Jabber for Windows to G711 and video started working?
Is Jabber for iPad going to support G729 and if so when?
    Thanks,

  • How to use HTML Video for iPad in iWeb

I agree with all the advantages of HTML Video. How do you use html video on your iweb site?
I want my iWeb site video to be viewable on iPads.
I have learned the technique to use the HTML Snippet tool in iWeb to successfully post Flash video. I created all of my animations using Kenote's keyframe ability and have exported them to Quicktime and then have converted them into flash with Vertical Moon's Video to SWF. Then simply upload the SWF file to a folder on your idisk, then use the Flash Video insert HTML Snippet and insert the idisk url of the SWF file and you are done. What is the technique for HTML Video?
I have found some HTML video encoders, here are the links:
http://www.projekktor.com/ the technique is not clear to me and appears complicated.
http://www.brightcove.com/en/ this one is way too expensive at $99 a month.
http://jilion.com/sublime/video this one looks great but is not yet available and I am guessing it is a converter that will make your iMovie Quicktime into HTML Video.
I have all of the i-Apps and Final Cut Express (2 revs out of date). Can I get the proper HTML video file from these programs, unless I am missing something I don't think so.
Most people do not believe I made my site completely with Keynote and iWeb but here it is. http//www.falcon-pacific.com
Thank You Very Much for considering my question. I will put the results on my iWeb site and the exact procedure and acknowledge all the sources of the solution.

I want my iWeb site video to be viewable on iPads.
Your videos ARE viewable on a iPad. No need for explicit HTML video coding.
If you export your movies to iPhone that's all there is to do. You can do it in QT Pro/iMovie
And HTML Video is a HTML code, not the movie itself :
    <video width="480" height="270" src="movie.m4v" controls></video>
I use the iPad simulator in the SDK :

  • What video converter app for mac would you suggest to convert videos for ipad mini?

Just recently got myself ipad mini and want to fill it up with movies. i have some but they have wrong format. And i don't know which format is the best for ipad mini(

iPad Mini supports .m4v, .mov, .mp4, and some of .avi files with Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) codec.
Generally, you can choose to convert files to MP4 format using utilities like Handbrake, Format Factory, etc. They are all free.
I have get a PS3 and iPad 2 years ago, sometimes I need to convert files to AVI for my PS3, so I choose a professional converter called AppGeeker. (while handbrake only output mkv and mp4 format, and FF reduces amount of quality of video)
    it works marvelosly for me.

  • Converting video for iPad

    Hi,
I was recently trying to copy some videos from my laptop onto my iPad. At first, it said the videos could not be copied because they were not in the right format for iPad. So, I attempted to use the "Create iPad or Apple TV Version" function in iTunes. Sadly, when I did that I was met with a message telling me the video will not be converted because it's already in the proper format. Tried with multiple videos, all returned the same response.
One of these functions is lying to me, and I'm not sure which one it is, or how to proceed.
    Potentially pertinent info:
    848x480 H.264 MPEG-4 video @ 159 kbps

Googling show many ways. Here is one:

  • Converting Videos for the Video Ipod?

ok i just bought the 60G Video IPOD, i downloaded a video from Itunes just to see if it works, i downloaded a video from Limewire, and when i went to add it to the ipod it says that it could not be added or using with the Ipod why? I need to converte it from the itunes Library? Ok once it gets downloaded into the limewire folder and i add it to itunes, what do i do next before adding it to the ipod, i am not spending 1.99 for each video that will be like 1,000 i spoend on videos..lol
Thank you so much for your help

I just got the Video iPod also. So far not too happy about the file type restrictions...after all I spent a year encoding MY entire DVD collectin and was thrilled not to have to take a laptop with me on travel.
    CONVERTING MOVIES for ViPOD.
You have to have the updated Quicktime 7.0.3.
AND then you have to open the file in QT.
    Go to EXPORT.
Select "Movie to iPod" which will convert the file to an .m4v
The movie will be saved in this mode as 320x240.
However, this process is incredibly slow. It's been trying to convert a movie in .mp4 to .m4v and it's been two hours now and it looks like it's only 15% done.
There has to be a faster conversion tool out there. For viewing a few flicks...I would have to spend days just to get 3 or 4 movies on my Video iPod.
MY SUGGESTION: DONT BUY the ViPod YET!!!! Wait till the holidays are over or give an Apple Gift Card.

  • IPhone video to iPad Video App Workflow

What's the easiest way to sync my iPhone videos into my iPads video app? Right now the videos from the phone import into iPhoto. I then have to drag the videos into iTunes, and then sync the iPad. Is there an easier way?
    thanks

Depends on the what iPhone you have. There are a few tutorials on YouTube showing how to do this with the iPhone 4 and iPad using the Camera Connection Kit.
You can do this with short videos using the PhotoTransfer app:

I'm upgrading a clients website to HTML5 video and I'm having a VERY hard time using Adobe Media Encoder CS5 for  encoding movies that are going to be embedded and played on iPad.
I've tried different resolutions, different profiles (Baseline Profile, Level 3.0, Baseline Profile, Level 3.1, Main Profile, Level 3.0 and so on).

All kind of help is appreciated since I already spent more than a day trying to get this to work.

Even Main Profile, Level 3.1 (compressed with AME CS5) works in the real thing when embedding according to my "reports".
Gaaaah, what a waste of time relying on a not-so-reliable simulator!

  • Creating chapters for iPad video

I understand that chapters can be added to videos using Quicktime Pro. If I do this, will I be able to see the chapters on an iPad? I don't want to pay the upgrade price and find out it doesn't work. Has anyone done this or willing to do a quick test for me?
    Thanks!

  • Best format to save HD video for iPad 2

What is the most effecient way to save an HD video (from iMovie '11 for Mac) with the intended purpose of uploading to an iPad 2 then using the Apple AV adapter to display on a 52" HDTV? I want to lose as little detail as possible which is why I don't want to put it on a DVD. I also don't want to end up with a 20GB file that the iPad will choke on. The video itself is 15 min. and contains a mix of SD and HD clips. Thanks.

    Hi Magnus40,
I'm not sure what you are doing to create this problem. I create web movies all the time and have never had this problem, although, I never use the advanced settings cos I have never had to. When you go to the Quicktime export pane in iMovie you have the quality choices from full quality to web. When you select one of these it gives an estimate of the file size. For that length clip you should not need to use any setting besides full quality. I'd say the problem is coming from the 480x360 aspect ratio. This is what is compressing the file. Have you tried exporting it as full quality and then uploading it? The only problem you face by doing this is, it will take a long time for the movie to load on your website. For a short clip you may find that the CD ROM setting is sufficient.
    Good luck.

  • Skype video for ipad

Has anyone tried this yet and what setup, headphones, does one need. Also does the caller need a number for Calling the ipad. thanks
    Steve

You need a Skype account and have to read through their Help sections and all to get an idea of what their service offerings are. You can get a number for your account, not for the iPad, but you pay extra for that.
I've uses the Skype app to send phone calls, for audio and text chats and messages and .... I guess that's about it. No video chatting on the iPad of course, due to no camera. I think I got video from my brother once, but he no longer turns his on unless I do mine also, as in on the iMac.
The app has plenty of audio out ( not all do) so you won't need headphones unless you're in a noisy area. I'd be surprised if the integrated (mic included) ones wouldn't work, but haven't had one to play with.

  • Creating an enhanced ebook in epub format with video for iPad, need guidance

Has any one done this before? I just found this and it is the perfect solution for what I am trying to accomplish. Here is a screen shot of a and enhanced ebook i dowloaded from the apple book store.
http://oi51.tinypic.com/2lub9g2.jpg Just wondering what the best way to go about laying this out, seems like ibooks formats all the epubs to look the same. Thanks

If you want to make a publication from InDesign to iPad, you can also use Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. With it you can add videos to InDesign layout. Videos has to be H.264 encoded, but you can do that with Adobe Media Encoder which is free utility, comes with indesign CS5... and after finishing layout, you can bundle the whole thing to iPad App...(this is strongly simplified description of the process... but anyway, it´s possible)

  • Setting for iPad video

I use many diffent video formats (5D, GoPro, 7D, etc) and need a setting to Convert to 1280x720 to import via my camera connection kit from an SD card so I can edit on iMovie. I don't want to use AppleTV setting since it's smaller than 720p, and I can convert my 1080p with no issues, but I can't convert my GoPro footage to work, even if I force an aspect of 1280x720 and a frame rate of 30. The iPad just doesn't see it.... Just from the GoPro..
Anyone have a setting that completely wipes out the meta data and creates a clean new movie that I can import on my iPad at the iPad 720p settings?

Doesn't. I've tried many combinations of it and if it source not as 1920x1080 or 1280x720, it doesn't work. If I use an odd setting and force it to 1280x720 at h.264 it doesn't work. Everything but my GoPro footage works.

    Hi everybody.
I'm living in two places, both of them equiped with PCs, one running Windows 7 and the other Windows XP (nobody's perfect !). They run last version of iTunes with same Apple Id.
As one is the backup of the other, both of them have all the videos I'd like to broadcast on may iPad (not enough place, so no download). Some of them are TV shows I bougth, other one are personnal videos.
All was perfect on the first PC (the one running Windows 7) until I activate the same setups on the second one. Now I can broadcast personnal videos from that PC, but I can't anymore on the first one : when I open Videos (the application) on iPad, the only thing I see on the menu is "TV show", witch allow me to download (not broadcast) from Internet the show I'd like to see, but I don't see the "shared library" I used to see before.
    Anyone has an idea ?
