No Video in playback

I am new to the Adobe line and right now, I am currently using the trial version of Adobe Premiere Elements 9 CS5. The first day I used it, it was great and everything worked fine, but now when I play back the timeline, my pictures will not show up, I have no problems with the video clips. I have done some experimenting with it and found out that when I do not render the pictures they show up, any help here? I have no problems with audio either.
My system is:
Win 7 Pro 32Bit
4GB of RAM (3.25 usuable)
AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 Processor (3GHz)
nVidia GeForce 7300 GT
40GB HDD
Secondary 1TB HDD
I have reinstalled it, changed format of the pictures, and reinstalled the videorenderer.dll file. Remember, I only problem with the pictures showing up in playback, the video clips/audio are perfectly fine.
I'm not sure what else you'll need. Please help :'(

Sorry, got a little busy...
Yes, whenever I render anything, i may as well not have anything on the timeline.
Yes, I have reinstalled the drivers for the video card and same result.
No, I have a 1TB drive that Im editing off of. The 40GB HDD is just for the OS.

  • Nokia Lumia 1520 Video recording/playback issues.

I seem to have issues with video recording. Video seems to have some pause "still" effects when taking video and playback in phone shows those stops very clearly as it freezes for while and jumps many seconds forward.
When I play same file in PC with video player the video plays better but still I can manage to see some small Glitch in video like my phone did stop recoding for some frames.  I have been using SD card and phone memory and both have same problem.

No solution so far and it is my wife phone so haven't have much reason to play with it find solution. She only takes photos anyway.
This current phone has already broke down 2 sim cards also or wireless charging did brake those not sure after stop using wireless charging 3rd sim card have been fine.
someday when have I feeling to take this phone to warranty service I will try wireless charging again.

  • What QT7 settings do I use to export a 1080p video for playback on iPhone4? I'm using the iPhone to playback 1080p video on 1080p monitor. Is this possible?

Does anyone know what settings I should use to export a 1080p video for playback on iPhone4? I'm hoping to use the iPhone4 to playback 1080p video on 1080p monitor. Is this possible?
I have previously saved my .mov file as Apple TV, but the quality is reduced from 1920x1080 to 960x540. I was unable to sync the higher quality file to my phone (and am worried this is the limitation of the hardware). I added this file to iTunes, added to a playlist, and sync'd to my iPhone. The playback works but the resolution is obviously a lower quality. Is it possible to keep the higher quality for playback through a 1920x1080 hd monitor?  Otherwise, would I be able to sync a 1920x1080 mov file to a new iPad or other device? Thanks in advance to your answers.

No. Only the iPhone 4S, iPad3, and TV3 currently support 1080p30 content. Even then the 1080p30 playback support for your monitor may depend on how the device is connected. The iPhone 4 is limited to 720p30 playback.

Not on your current device. As previously stated, the latest generation of iPhone, iPad, and TV devices support a maximum 1080p30 playback capability but may be limited to lower resdolutions depending on your method of connection to your monitor. This information can be found on the Apple web site TechSpecs page for each respective device.

  • Annoying video/DVD playback problems on new Mac mini (2010)

I have a Mac mini at home right now, latest edition (2010).
I am very surprised to find that DVD playback exhibits signs of stutters here and there. Not huge stutters, but I can constantly see small "skips" and what seems like frame drops here and there. Playing back the same DVD on a $120 Blu-ray-player shows no sign of this behaviour.
I have tried this on two different TV sets (one 720p and one 1080p), and the mini is not able to play back a DVD without these stutters/skips. Two different blu-ray players play the disc just fine (I have been using Ghost Dog to test - check chapter to and the scenes containing panning, it's easier to notice that way).
It seems ordinary video files playback (files from HD, 720p, mkv) exhibit some of the same behaviour, though this seems more dependent on which app is used for playback. Quicktime seems worse (noticeable stutters/skips), VLC 1.1 a bit better (though both DVD playback and file playback show signs of stutter), while XBMC is the best of the three, with very little frame drop (if that is in fact what it is).
Any idea what's going on here? Why will such a expensive machine with HDMI output not play back video properly, while a cheap Blu-ray-player does it just fine?
    Are there any known issues?
(sorry for posting this in the wrong from earlier!)

I have not used the dvd player app in my 2010 mini, but I've certainly played every media type under the sun since receiving it.
It plays them all without dropping frames, stuttering, pausing, etc.
Are you using dvd player with dvd disc images, video ts folders, or actual DVD discs in the drive?
If you're playing a disc image or video ts folder, are you accessing them over wireless networking? If so, try them on the internal drive, or over a wired network connection.
Try turning off the option is in energy saver that allows drive sleep (system sleep can stay where it is, just turn off *hard drive* sleep).
For best performance, make sure you aren't running other apps besides the media player app that you're using at the time.
Make sure you don't have software or utilities running background tasks (such as disk warrior, drive genius or tech tool pro).
If you have external devices connected (including printer and/or scanner), try the system without them connected. Does the video playback improve without them connected? If it does, then try reconnecting them one by one to figure out which one of them is related to the problem.

  • TS2635 why do I get video error playback everytime I try to watch a video?

My iphone 3g continues to say Video error playback when I try to watch a video! Does this have to do with AT&T, Apple and the continuing DATA issues!! GOODGRIEF!!!

"Watch a video" - do you mean streaming a vidio or one dowloaded to the phone?

  • Video quality playback choice

I don't know if this idea has already been suggested, but it is actually 5 years overdue. So here it goes.
Is it possible in the next update for Apple to offer a video playback option of SD(240p or 360p), HQ(480p, or 720p), or HD(1080p) on the Iphone screen, of cource depending upon what the maximum allowment of the screen playback is. How I mean by this is that no matter if you are on wifi, 3g-4g(AT&T), or LTE, you have a choice of video quality playback options sitting somewhere on the screen; especially youtube, I would like the option to playback video in standard quality, high quality, or hi defination (pending upon phone hardware).
    Thank you very much.

Thank you Russ for your reply.  I have actually run this both ways, one time as a project and the other time out of the timeline.  Each time the video goes widescreen and the quality is less than if I run it in Quicktime and Imovie.  I have wracked my brain trying to figure this out. Tom was stumped too why 640X480 would go wide.  I haven't see that before.  Should be a 4:3.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.  Let me also clarify something.  These clips I have been working with were not shot by me.  I am producing a Documentary on the flood that ravaged our Colorado town in September.  Since I just purchased 10.1, I haven't loaded up the video I took of the flood.  It had been at the TV station, and I just retrieved it tonight.  I am going to import it tonight to see how Final Cut handles it.  Hundreds of folks have sent me vid and stills so I don't know what type of cameras most of the vid came from.  Once I import my video, I'll know if this is a Final Cut issue or something to do with the clips that were sent to me.  I am not a newby at editing, having worked with previous versions of Final Cut, Adobe Premier and a Video Server at TV stations.  I should be able to figure why the clips from others are not being handled correctly by FC, but I haven't resolved that yet.  Hoping other professionals had seen this and would know the answer.  I will be up for hours working on this.  Even if my video works fine, I still need to find an answer as to why the other clips are not playing back correctly.
    All the best,
    Greg

  • Audio vs. video podcast playback

At the end of watching a video podcast I am returned to the episode menu of the podcast I just watched. At the end of listening to an audio podcast I am returned to the main (iPod) menu.
Is there any way to make audio podcast playback act like video podcast playback (meaning return me to the episode menu instead of the main menu)?

  • Videos App Playback Issues (Out of Sync)

    Hi,
As of last night I've been experiencing issues with playback in the Videos app on my iPad. It's an iPad4 with the most recent software update, which has been done for a while.
The issue: when playing a video in the Videos app (purchased from iTunes) on the iPad (so not using AirPlay) the video very rapidly begins to lag behind the audio. It becomes jerky and speeds up and then returns to normal speed when it catches up with the audio and then falls immediately behind again. If I try to exit the app when it happens it freezes the iPad (although after waiting a while it will eventually exit, it's just a looooong lag).
It's not a buffering issue as the internet connection is fine and the video playback from other apps (YouTube, NowTV, etc) are all fine.
It's driving me mad - does anyone have any suggestions? I've obviously tried closing all apps, restarting the iPad, etc.
    Ta muchly,

Update: This is still happening - however these same episode files play perfectly fine through AppleTV (not AirPlay - but accessing direct through the Apple TV box).
Any ideas folks? I presume the problem is with the Videos App or the iPad (although all other video-related apps still work perfectly fine).

  • Video preview/playback not working

I am a new premier elements 8 user.
I've captured some video from my camera using a firewire connection.
When I try to play back the video, I get a frozen image in the preview.  Every once in a while I might get a different image, but it's mostly frozen.
I've updated quicktime to the latest.  I've updated my nvidia drivers to the latest.  I've run windows update.  Premier elements has been updated.  Everything (that I can tell) is up to date.
My PC is running Windows 7 64-bit, 6 GB RAM, AMD Athlon II X4 630.
The video file noted above can be played back in windows media player, windows movie maker, cyberlink power director (free version, came with the new PC), all without issues.
In fact, any video I try to load (all captured using a slightly older PC, using Pinnacle) has the same problem, so I'm thinking it's not related to one codec or the other, because it seems different types of capture encoding show the same problem when played back.
I've tried disabling and re-enabling the GPU usage setting under preferences; no diff.
I've tried contacting Adobe support, read through several KB articles, I'm running out of patience.
    Any ideas?
    --JS

My audio drivers have been updated.
I've tried capturing using all 4 dv project presets.  When I select DV PAL Std 48khz (which is not the default nor is it the type of camera I have since I live in the US), I get an error message stating something about a potental quality issue because the method doesnt match the source, however after capturing via that method, the video plays back.
g-spot states that I have the proper codecs.  The video clips I was capturing previously show that I have the proper codecs installed and play without issue (including the audio) in g-spot.  When I capture using the NTSC project settings, the video codec in use shows as codec "dvsd" and name "DVC/DV/Video" and format NTSC.  The audio codec is "PCM Audio".  If I capture using the PAL project settings, the video codec does not change however the format still shows NTSC.
I've noticed that when I capture using the NTSC method, I have an error message at the bottom of the premeir elements screen.  There's a little red X and next to it reads "Display performance will be poort due to incorrectly oeprating graphics card or driver!".  Note that I previously updated the drivers for the nvidia chipset on my system, I've run an HP diagnostic for the video chipset which passes with no trouble reports, and multiple video codecs/containers play back without issue using windows media player, quicktime, pinnacle studio, and windows movie maker.
So... I'm still having the same problem.  When I set up a project using the proper method and the proper formats, the captured video does not play back in premier elements 8.
At this point I have two problems....
    1) I cannot view captured video, or any other video, unless there's a hack in place by capturing via the PAL project pre-settings; using premier elements on my pc.
    2) Why does this workflow and asset work in 3 other editors on my system, and why does the asset play back in at least 3 other viewers on my system, but with premeir elements I cannot simply preview captured video?
Any help or additional guidance is appreciated.  I feel like I'm spending way to much time trying to get a simple process to work properly.

  • Posting lots of slides with video slow playback to a halt

In our slide of about 50 slides, when we have one video slide, it plays ok, but each slide we add after, makes the captivate play slower and slower. In this case, we have about a dozen slides with video, and with all video slides in, the playback is not useable. Video is set to progressive video download and are only a few meg in size
How can we handles several slides with video?
    Thanks

This sounds like a bandwidth issue.
Do you encounter the same slow playback issue if you publish the course to your local PC and play the course from your hard drive?  If not, the issue isn't likely CPU-related.
If local playback is also slow, your CPU/RAM resources might be unable to keep up with decoding your video at it's current compression or size.  You might need to use smaller, lighter video.
If you want to see whether or not your issue is related to bandwidth limitations, download the Charles web debugging proxy software (http://www.charlesproxy.com/download/) and use this to watch the actual downloads in progress for the videos in your course.  If you see that Captivate is downloading more than one video at a time, this might explain why things start to bog down.  You might need to restructure your course so that each video is downloaded separately as the user comes to it.  At worst, tThis could require breaking your course into more modules.

  • Zoom in and pan trough video during playback?

    Hi,
is it possible to zoom in and pan trough video files during playback on iphone 3gs? I know that there is a zoom inside accessibility inside settings but is it possible to use that during video playback? Sometimes during playback I need to enlarge some parts of video in a way to read numeric settings or something similar.
    Thanks

I is it possible to zoom in and pan trough video files during playback on iphone 3GS?
    Yes.
I know that there is a zoom inside accessibility inside settings but is it possible to use that during video playback?
Yes. Three-fingered double-click to turn it on or off. Three-fingered drag to move the zoomed image.
Sometimes during playback I need to enlarge some parts of video in a way to read numeric settings or something similar.
The video will have been compressed for use on the iPhone, so zoom may help, but it won't be able to show detail that was lost in the compression.

  • Stopping video component playback

I have a frame where I have added an flv playback component to play a flv file. Everything plays fine, but when I test the file and navagate away from the frame that the playback component is on, the video continues playing.
Is there any way to get the video to stop when the user navigates away from the frame? I'm sure this could be done if I add the video using AS 3.0 (that is what the navigation of the site is coded with), but I'm not quite experienced enough to pull that off at this point.
    Thanks!! - Jon

I'm having same issues, tried using the stop();  on the first frame of the movie's instance timline.  Movie continues to play while user can't actually see it anymore.  When the user navigates back to that section where the movie clip is again, another instance of the movie can be played while the previous one is going making a mess

  • Choppy video/audio playback after two suspend/resume cycles?

    Hello!
Today I figured out, that my video and audi playback becomes choppy after two or more suspend-cycles. Can somebody confirm this?
I'm running a up-to-date Archlinux on my ThinkPad t430s. Several applications are affected: mplayer (virtual terminal), totem (Gnome 3), IOQuake3 (OpenGL is fine, but sound is choppy too).
I wonder if I'm the only one?

    I tried it like described here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … omments/22
Sadly it seems not to work for me.
    // Update:
Ufff, looks weird to me at all.
    1. Seem not to occure with Kernel 3.6.x, but with Kernel 3.7.x
    2. Suspending/Resuming again maybe fix the issue, i.e. try to manually suspend with pm-suspend (uses a buch of quirks and so on and not only plain "suspend" from system) instead with systemd (systemctl suspend, is also used by GNOME or KDE internals)

  • Issues with video/audio playback and Source window

I have some video that I am trying to import to get into my sequence. Anytime I open the video into my source window (or drag it to the timeline), the audio goes crazy. It starts skipping around and jumbling itself. When I open the video file in Quicktime on my computer, it opens and plays fine. Also, I don't know if it is unrelated, but sometimes when I open a video in my Source window, there is no audio. I can drag it to the Sequence and double click on it to bring the Sequence video into the Source window and it plays fine.
The video that I am having issues with is a .mov filmed from an iPad (not sure which iPad model). It is filmed in Portrait mode, not sure if that matters. Please let me know what other information might be needed to troubleshoot this issue.
    Thanks!

    Ooh. Sorry about that.
    - I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 v.6.0.3
    - I'm sure I have the latest update. I'm using Creative Cloud, and the Adobe Application Update Manager says everything is up to date.
    - Operating System is Windows 7 Professional (Service Pack 1)
    - Source footage is a .mov filmed in portrait mode (I didn't record it.. Haha) on an iPad, not sure the model.
    - I am getting no error messages.
    - I was just dragging the video file from the Media Browser to the Source window. Nothing special.
    - This is working on all of the other clips filmed from the same iPad at same resolution, etc. Also, this particular video plays perfectly in Quicktime. It's just when I try to play it in Premiere Pro.
    - Other software that is currently running is standard stuff: antivirus, Outlook, Gtalk, Dropbox. Nothing that uses audio.
    - I have installed K-Lite Codec pack when I got the computer.
    - I have a Dell Preision T7600, Dual Xeon Quad-core processors (2.00GHz), 16 GBs of ram, Nvidia Quadro 4000 (2GB), and running off of a 256GB SSD.
    - I am using the Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration.
    - The issue is happening on playback, both in the Source window and the Program window when I drag the video to the Sequence. It plays fine in Quicktime.
