No Video on AirPlay since updating iOS?
I have just updated my AppleTV to the latest version of iOS and am not getting any video from the Videos app on my iPad when using AirPlay (just sound). This happened before and there was a fix but can not remember what it was! Can anyone help....
Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues).

If this isn't the issue, try restarting both devices.

The steps detailed below may help get your TV adapter to function correctly.
Check the compatibility
Make sure the accessory is compatible with your device. If the accessory is on the Apple Online Store, you can see if your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch model is listed as compatible.
If your accessory uses the 30-pin connector, you might be able to connect it to your device using the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter or Lightning to 30-pin Adapter (0.2 m).
See if your accessory's compatibility is limited. For example, some accessories might not charge iOS devices if they use FireWire instead of USB to charge.
Disconnect and inspect the accessory, then restart your device
Disconnect the accessory and turn it off, if possible.
Inspect the connection between the accessory and device and make sure that no debris or other damage is present.
Restart your iOS device by turning it off, then back on. When the Home screen appears, reconnect the accessory.
Try a different device
Make sure the issue is with the accessory, if possible. Always use an identical or similar, compatible device with the accessory you're troubleshooting.
If there's static coming from the left audio channel when you use headphones, try connecting the headphones to a similar device.
If the device isn't syncing when connected to the dock, connect it directly to the computer using the Apple 30-pin to USB Cable or try another USB port.
If you're using Lightning to 30-pin Adapter in a connection chain, try using the same adapter on a similar or identical device.
Restore iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restore your iOS device. You should rarely need to use this step with an accessory issue. If the issue only affects a third-party accessory, contact the manufacturer before restoring the device.

HT5457 ipad unlock screen freezes since updating ios
Since updating to IOS6 on my 3rd gen iPad, every other time I power on the "unlock" slider bar freezes, shuts down and when I press the "hard" power button on again it's unfrozen and I can again slide to unlock. This is frustrating. Anyone have any insight or have this same problem since updating?
(A) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Issues with Airplay since update.
iPhone updated to iOS 5.1
AppleTV2 updated (not sure what the lastest version is)
iTunes updated to 10.6 (latest)
Got the new screen on ATV2, but apps I use that used Airplay before, cannot stream to ATV2.
Just get the spin on the screen and nothing.
This happens with MLBatBat and GBTV.
Both work on the iphone, but can't airplay them. Everything else can airplay.
Any ideas?I talked to GBTV customer service again on Friday and they are aware of the issue but they don't have idea when there might be a fix. I just tried to Airplay Thursday night's Glenn Beck Program and it's still a no go. Does anyone know who the company/developer is who markets the technology used in GBTV and MLB? I want to start communicating with the entity that can fix the problem. Talking to Apple won't do anything as they don't view it as their problem. I'm pushing the GBTV customer service people as much as I can and although they say that understand it is a big problem, I'm not unsure how many subscribers are actually affected. GBTV pushes the Roku box as the primary means of getting GBTV. If the "Apple TV people" are a small percentage of their subscribers then I'm not sure how motivated they'll be to find to fix.

IChat AV video conferencing problems since update
I've noticed that may of us have posted problems we have been having with video chatting (error -8). Nobody has really brought this up but haven't you all noticed that we all started having this problem with iChat since we downloaded Tiger 10.4.10? Or maybe the recent security update of earlier this week.
My question is, if the updates did create the problems, how likely is it that Apple will realize this glitch and patch it up?I wish I could say this problem only involves Intel Macs or OS X 10.4.10, but I think some of the problems I'm seeing may occur on PowerPC Macs with whatever version of the OS, or Intel Macs running 10.4.9 too.
If an Apple update is the culprit, or even partially responsible, it may be an update that came shortly before, or independently of, 10.4.10 and applies to all Macs regardless of CPU.
Really want to find a solution. Anyone know what the dreaded 'Chat ended with error -22' is really about? Is it bandwidth or blocked ports? Both? Neither?
One case where it was indeed an Intel Mac running 10.4.10, the user gave me the log (I'm a network admin.)

Unable to AirPrint since updating iOS 6
I am hopeing someone can help. Since I upgraded my iPad2, new iPad, iPhone 4s, and iPhone 5 to iOS 6 I am unable to print to my HP 3050A. One app says "a connection problem occurred: SSL problem (possible causes may include a bad/expired/self-signed certificate, clock set to wrong date)" while notes acts like the file was sent but printer does not react. I've rebooted the router, printer, Apple devices, everything. I don't believe it is a HP issue since it still works when printing from my windows laptop (sorry guys, haven't upgraded it yet).
Found the solution to the Linux CUPS Server what apple did was change the programming language in the AirPrint printing communication with the printers. For the majority of you guys restarting router may work but since they changed the language you'll need to update the firmware of your printer...go to the manufacturer's website and look for your printer and see if there's an update for your printer...if there isn't ask the printer's support team. But you'd need to update the firmware. For HP D110 you can update from the panel (we have these at work). Best of luck!
If you have a Linux CUPS server see solution below, did this at work and all the users were happy again :)
First, you have to create new mime stuff and restart cups:

echo "image/urf application/pdf 100 pdftoraster" > /usr/share/cups/mime/airprint.convs
service cups restart
Then you must regenerate the avahi service using the airprint-generate.py script from:
https://github.com/tjfontaine/airprint-generate
This will again create .service file(s) for each of your printer(s).
Then copy the generated .service file(s) to the appropriate directory and restart avahi-daemon:
cp AirPrint*.service /etc/avahi/services/
service avahi-daemon restart
That’s it. Printers should now show up (again) on devices updated to iOS 6. -

I updated to iOS 6 and the wifi started to drop.. I've updated everytime since in the hope that the wifi would work properly again. But no. I'm now on iOS 6.1.3 and it's worse than ever.
I've tried things like forgetting the network, I've tried changing the Proxy to Auto.. But nowt..
Have Apple actually aknowledged this is a legitimate fault??
It's beyond ridiculous.. I also bought my partner a iPad Mini 2 weeks ago for her bday and it's doing the same.. I'm half tempted to return it...Try #5.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Ibooks crashing since update ios 7 when trying to use dictionaries
Yesterday I update to ios 7 and when I try to use word definition or manage dictionaries ibooks crashes. Does anyone have the same problem? Does anyone knows how to solve this?
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.

Since updating iOS yesterday, I can't open the Podcast app.
I updated last night and when I tap on the icon today, the screen goes white for a second and then goes back to the homepage.
Any suggestions?What format are these videos in ?

Please bring YouTube back in the next update because I am really upset!
Apple is trying to slowly slice ties with Google so that is why they removed the YouTube app as well as made their own Maps app.
Google has already made their own YouTube app that is on the App Store for free but right now it is only for iPhone, they will release a version for the iPad soon. -
Cannot get Yahoo mail since updating ios on 2/2
updated on 2/2, mail was ok for about 15 hours, then nothing. when I go into Yahoo mailbox it says "connecting".....then reverts to "Updated Tuesday". My mailbox is empty, bc I already tried to delete my Yahoo account and reinstall. Also tried shutting phone down.
PLEASE help if possible ~~ YES, I can get mail on the Yahoo App, but I don't like itWhy would you delete your iCloud account for a password change with your Yahoo account?

Ok, so my mac (OSX 10.10) won't print to c309g. I can check ink levels and print a test page from the computer but not print a document. Have followed all the advice I can find but no luck yet. Any thoughts?

My email on my mac (which has iCloud) is giving me a message that the server has rejected my password. When I go onto the internet and sign into iCloud there, the password is accepted. What am I doing wrong??
