No video on playback, only sound.

Hi. I bought the HP 19-2114 last November 2014 and after a few usage, everytime I play any video whether in windows media player, youtube, windows explorer, all I see are black screen, the audio is ok. After a few months, I even tried installing windows 8 video codecs, it worked for awhile after restarting the PC, then it goes back to having black screens all over again. It is frustrating.

I am trying to access a website with everyday videos, but there is no image playback, only sound.

When i am trying to access the web page, everything goes smooth, but when I get to the video playback, it doesn't show any image, you can only hear the sound playback of the video. I accessed this web site with other web browsers, and it worked just fine, with both image and audio playback. From the same web site, sometimes videos work, but that is very rare, and I don't know what determines this kind of behavior.

Toshiba RDXV60KB - On playback only sound but no picture

Recently got this DVD recorder, but on playback I am only getting sound but no picture. Struggling to see where I have gone wrong.

Have you tested DVD recorder with several different original DVDs and eventually with recorded program?
If I understand you right you can see the menu and everything else but only video material is not visible, right?

Video not showing only sound when importing

I'm importing new clips to a project and when I import all seems ok except in the clip window the video seems to be there but only with the sound icon, I've tried with a clip that was added half an hour before that plays perfectly on the time line but it has the same problem when reimporting.
I've tried resetting the preferences with no avail.
I'm using CC Premiere pro on a mac with Lion 10.7.5

Thanks yes it wasn't that, I seem to have solved it by dumping the old project and starting again, then everything imports, very strange and it means starting the edit again of course, luckily , I was only 5 mins in.

I also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?
I am running Yosemitie on a iMac.

Since last night, i can not watch any videos on my itunes. I have only sound. All videos are bought through Itunes. Video works in the internet but not on Itune.

You can route the audio through your TV to your analogue receiver or purchase an adapter for the optical. As you have provided no further details it is hard to say much more.

I am having a similar problem with videos. After an update, some of my video files play and others do not. They are all in mpeg-4 video format so I don't know that is the difference except the videos that are not playing are larger files of movies. The shorter videos play fine. Any ideas? My quicktime is up to date and I'm using iTunes 9.1. Before updates I was able to view the videos without a problem.
I am guessing that because of the size of the videos...mine are 640x352 that does not play but 480x320 will play

Is this failing with Error 20 ?
Sometimes in a the router or modem if you use Port Forwarding then you are your Buddy may be missing the Screen Sharing Port.
The Screen Sharing part uses a different port to the Audio port.
As the port for Audio (And therefore Video) are known and can be port Forwarded it is the random Screen Sharing port that can be the problem.

If you are not using (or your Buddy) UPnP then I would change the method of opening the port to that.

I am trying to watch NBC, ABC, CBS and other channels. I tried from Safari right from the net work and the app they provide. I get the sound and no video. I see this problem all over mac forums and Mac rumors. Then it hit me duh, why aren't I asking this question in apple support? So here I am. I have never had an issue with airplay it has always work flawlessly. Now it is a no show tv shows. I hope I can get a answer here. Are they somehow blocking the video from using airplay? Some one please give a Apple TV addict a hand. Thank you for your time, David

I am using ipad4 with latest OS updates. I am using HDMI adaptor by apple to connect to my HD tv (Sony). I saw a glimpse of my ipad once on the screen but i vanished suddenly and since then i have been trying to no use. I tried playing a video, but i only hear voice on TV and no video. Can anyone help, as wht settings shld i check ? or is it my local made HDMI cable creating problem (it works fine with my laptop )
