No video shown

I installed itunes 7 and everything install fine but now my songs play fine but my music videos do know play properly. Then they play the music video window goes completely white. So i can not see anything from the music video. Need help bad. Try reinstalling 4 time and nothing. Deleted the quicktime folder and itunes folder and still nothing. oh and how do i contact apple (itunes) customer service?

Project settings for a video shown on a TV screen

Hello
I am editing a video that will be shown on a TV screen and I am not sure what are the settings I should choose in the New project window. And which format ishould be hoosing when I export it.

What kind of television? HD or standard definition?
Do you live in a PAL country, or NTSC country?
Where did the video come from? What frame size is it? And what frame rate?

I have a big problem with my iPod Video. Recently I updated iTunes and then it goes into iTunes and then I get an error and iTunes closes(its one of those errors that doesn't say anything about it). So I try to re-install and still iTunes won't open. Then I open my try to listen to my iPod and while i'm browsing through the song list and noticed that there are video files in the list. I try to play it but it plays like a song, audio only. And then I go into my Video list and nothing is there. I even tried updating and restoring my iPod but nothing works its still like that. I even made new videos to see if my others were corrupted but still nothing.

Try synching on a different USB port. This product is weird sometimes. There are many ways and things to try. So it's up to you.
If the videos used to show before...
I think the pretty much guaranteed fix is this:
1. Stopping any disk checking / anti-virus type utility on your computer.
2. Uninstall iTunes COMPLETELY.
3. Download the latest iPOD Updater and wipe your IPOD to factory settings. (This will remove all the mp3's and everything on your IPOD, so keep that in mind.)
4. Reinstall iTunes. (Do not turn any of those disk checking type utilities.) Resynch the IPOD and everything should work fine.
If the videos did not show before. It's possible you created them wrong. Try another method.
Discussion Item: If you're a Windows only user... some members on this forum are one-sided on here; it comes out in their responses. I think both have strengths and weaknesses.

Not a clear video..Why??

Why does my video that I am creating doesn't have the clear picture as the original video shown in the organizer? Please help I have been working on this video a long time and when I view it the picture is not good at all. I even tried making a DVD of it thinking that maybe it would come out clearer and it didn't. It is blurry and some of it wavy like buildings.

Lots of details needed to give you the best possible answer.
What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computing operating system is it running? Are you set up for NTSC or PAL?
What are the properties of your source media, what project preset are you or the program setting for your project, and what type of an export have you tried besides burn to disc DVD which has a frame size of 720 x 480 (NTSC) or 720 x 576 (PAL). Please be specific to export types and settings.

2.0 - Can you play Music Videos in a playlist one after another

I'm at work and unable to test. Does the "new" Take2 finally allow users to create their own MTV?

I'm equally disappointed/frustrated. We bought three of these to play easily-updatable video presentations, announcement clips and short films for my church. But it simply won't work for that purpose. Apple TV plays one video, then back to the menu. There's still no way to play any sort of multiple videos in succession, and that just seems ridiculous to me!
There are actually people who take the time to reply to (the many) threads like this one with, "Well, Apple didn't advertise it with that functionality". Wow - that's true, I guess, but when something's a no-brainer, it's a... oh, never mind.
The kiosk market, music video playback, successive short films or home videos shown for parties. Apple has really missed the mark on this. It's a real shame for an otherwise great product.
I guess onto eBay go three Apple TVs.

Help viewing Dreamweaver videos

I just did a complete erasure of CS5.5 and installed CS6 with no apparent problems (so far). Except for one little thing. If I open DW CS6 and click any of the "Top features (video)" on the right side of the welcome screen, an "Adobe TV" window opens and I see a black rectangle just below the title of the selected video. However, there are no controls visible, no error messages appear, and absolutely nothing happens. Same if I select any of the other videos shown on the right side. FWIW, youtube videos play fine, as does just about any other video I can find. I can save the video to "My Libraries" but the same thing happens if I attempt to view it.
Any suggestions on what needs to be done? Thanks, John

When you click on a video, it opens the system default browser window with the video.
You may need to allocate a different default browser, FF is always a good way to go.

Adjust Y pos of Flash video control strip (skin)

Hi
I am in need to move the video control strip upwards so it clears my caption in the video shown below.
The skin is a swf, and normally if I import a swf to to another fla as an outside source I can adjust xpos and ypos with action script.
I am using AS2 and would think this can be controlled in the flv playback component. But I can not find out how.
Can you help?

I have tried to add:
layout_mc.ypos = -100;   and layout_mc._y = -100;
to my ClearOverPlaySeekMute_GG_1.fla
Did not work.
Also tried inside Fla with the flv playback component to add
_y=-100
That moved the whole component up.
Then I tried to address the swf from there:
layout_mc._y = -100;
Did not work.
Then I tried to address the swf from there:
ClearOverPlaySeekMute_GG_1.swf._y = -100;
Also did not work.
What is it that decides the default position of the componet?
I am out of ideas.

Exported video too large, quality poor

Hey guys. I'm starting with a 1440x1080 mts video, trimming it down (total trimmed length is about 7 minutes) and exporting it to a 1440x1080 mp4.
But sadly, I have to increase the bitrate very high in order to get quality that approaches the original, resulting in a much larger file size. I managed to get the size of the exported video (shown in the table below) to a reasonable size, but it was still lower quality than the original.. Can I get some help here? Essentially, I just want to export the video with the original resolution and around the same size but in something like .mp4 format.
PowerDirector11 achieved this with no fuss.

The answers are in the details. But, from what you offered above, whether you have Premiere Elements 10 or 11 Windows, here is what I am suggesting that you try.
Import your 1440 x 1080 HD anamorphic 16:9 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second into Premiere Elements, using the project preset of:
NTSC AVCHD HD1080i30.
If you are using version 10, you do that in the new project dialog yourself.
If you are using version 11, the program is supposed to do that setting automatically based on your first drag of the clip to the Timeline. Check Edit Menu/Projects Settings to make sure that the program has recognized your video properties correctly and assigned the appropriate project preset. If not, open a new project and go to File Menu/New/Project and set the project preset yourself, making sure to put a check mark next to Force Selected Project Settings on This Project. After OK'ing out of there, then bring in your video via Add Media/Project Assets/drag to Timeline.
When you get around to exporting, give the following a try (in looks like that was the area that you were exploring already)
If version 10, Share/Computer/AVCHD
If version 11, Publish+Share/Computer/AVCHD
use the preset = MP4-H264 1920 x 1080p30
That preset uses default bitrates of Target 32 Mbps and Maximum 40 Mbps. Go with that to get a baseline for your video which appears to have an overall bitrate of about 12 or lower Mbps. If necessary, redo, Lowering for file size requirements.
Then let us know what that looks like.
Can you shoot at 1920 x 1080 at a higher bitrate with your camera? And does your camera shoot progressive as well as interlaced video?

Update 17.0 not playing YouTube videos. Having problems. :(

Recently a few days ago, my Safari's YouTube site told me I needed a new update for Adobe flash player, since it showed some videos but not all. My Safari is 5.1.10, and it hasn't been updated at all, nor can I upgrade any further. I did download the flash player 17.0, but still I cannot get any more YouTube videos shown. Even Firefox, that's been updated to 3.70 now, is still experiencing the same problem. Furthermore, I just don't know what to do. I've tried everything from clearing cache, to remove the flash player and install it again, to restarting the computer. Nothing seems to work!
I really need help in an incredible way, and yes, I do watch YouTube mainly on Safari than Firefox. Can you please help? I'm such a newbie on my Mac OS X 10.6.8 right now. T_T

Hey! I have a problem with the video resolution everytime i see a video on Utube in my iPhone, the videos r not clear like they should. I compared my iPhone video resolution with my friends and we picked the same video clips on Utube and his video resolution is so much clearer then mine why is that? I call apple store and i explane and they made me reset n Restore my iPhone and nothing

Upgrading internal HDD & OWC video

Hi,
does anyone know if the video step-by-step on OWC's site for the Titanium PB can be applied to the Al version? The Titanium and Aluminum Powerbooks are built quite differently, and require different hard drive replacement procedures. Whether you use iFixit's instructions or OWC's, you'll need to use the ones for the Albook if an Albook is what you have.

I have tried to used Modal page for tabular form where I need to use button with "Redirect to page within this Application" instead of "Redirect to URL" as shown in video.
I used "Redirect to page within this Application" because I need to set value from one first page within value to second page.
In the video shown that I can use column link, but I don't have report in first page. So I decided to use button to redirect to second page with a value.

Tips and Tricks to make STP 2 run faster?

I'm working with STP 2 for the first time and it runs very slow despite my new computer. I don't remember having this problem in Pro Tools with a much slower computer. I'm wondering what I can do to improve the performance...
When a multitrack projects is exported from FCP to STP, is the video shown as a proxy size? I'm editing at full resolution 1080 in FCP w/ no problems, and I'm wondering if that's my problem in STP... or if the video in STP automatically has a reduced proxy resolution?
I have about 26 tracks right now w/ various effects... do I need to condense the number of tracks to speed things up or is there anything else I can do to improve performance?

And my media is on a separate internal drive rather than an external drive and I'm restarting and quitting FCP first. I have a couple of follow up questions...
Is there a way to clear or reduce STP cache files as you go w/o restarting?

For no apparent reason, some of my audio tracks do not play back. They don't seem to be turned off, but maybe there's something else. When I move the audio files to another track they work fine. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
