No wallpaper on Lock Screen IOS 8.1 iPhone 6

I can't get the Lock Screen Wallpaper to show.   Settings->Wallpaper->Stills->Choose->Set   Screen is either a light blank or a dark  blank depending on the image  selected.  The iPhone is NOT plugged into power.  Any ideas???

OK Got the answer now.  The background  disappears whenever the Starbucks passbook slider was visible on the lock screen.  I removed the slider and the background reappeared.  Can't remember it doing that before, but whatever ....

How can I resize the photos on the wallpaper and locked screens?
I have photos send to me in either iMsg or Whatsapp and the photos need to be resized when I want to use them as a wallpaper or locked screen.

Use a photo editor, or a third-party app like Insta-Fix, which works very well to resize photos for use as wallpaper on i-devices. You can also take a screenshot of the photo and use that as your wallpaper.

There isn't a separate app icon for Facetime for the iPhone like there is for the iPad and iPod Touch.  Facetime is built into the iPhone's iOS.

How do I shut off the lock screen feature on my iPhone 5s?

You can turn Auto-Lock off and you can choose not to have the Passcode Lock feature enabled, but there will always "slide to unlock" available after manually turning the iPhone's screen off with the sleep/wake button or with Auto-Lock enabled without having the Passcode Lock feature enabled.
This is to prevent anything from being selected on the iPhone after the screen has been turned off or or placing the iPhone in sleep mode if the iPhone were in your pocket and the home button or sleep/wake button was selected without your knowledge.

  • IOS 4.0 -- Wallpaper on locked screen?

My iPod used to have a picture display when the iPod was locked. Now it's been replaced with a picture of the battery level. How do I get this back? I found the options for setting a wallpaper, but it doesn't seem to affect anything. I understand the wallpaper doesn't work in the menus for older iPods, but does that mean upgrading lost the ability to display a photo on the locked screen?
If so, how do I go back to v3?

You won't see the wallpaper on the locked screen when charging/syncing all other times it will work.
    You have no problem.

  • Display wallpaper on locked screen

I noticed about a week ago that my Z10 was displaying the BB_Blue.jpgp wallpaper on the locked screen. I saw it for a few days and then it stopped.
I thought it was odd because I had not chosen a wallpaper setting on the device to that point, so I thought it might be related to the OS update to 10.1.0.273 (although this happened several weeks after the update).
But I liked the look!  It relieved the monotony of the dark background.
So then I set the wallpaper to BB_Blue.jpgp and it works on all screens except when the device is locked.
Does anyone know how to set the wallpaper to display on the locked screen?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The solution came to me after I realized what was different about my setup.
I had enabled Parental Controls as a means of screening telemarketer calls. With PC enabled only calls from numbers in my contacts would cause the phone to ring, all other calls would go directly to Call Answer.
What I further realized is that some settings applied while Parental Controls are enabled, apply only to that mode. My clue was the fact that  I had arranged my icons one way, and when I briefly disabled Parental Controls they were back to the standard view.
I tested this by setting the wallpaper for the standard view to purple, then enabled Parental Controls and set the wallpaper to blue. While navigating in Parental Controls mode the wallpaper is blue, but when the screen locks the purple wallpaper is displayed.
So the bug (or undocumented feature) is that the wallpaper you choose with Parental Controls enabled is not the one used for the locked screen. The locked screen uses the wallpaper from the standard view. In my original problem, because I had not set a wallpaper for the standard view, the locked screen showed only the dark background.

  • Wallpaper and lock screen in iOS7

Is anyone else having a problem with photos going GIANT in your lock screen.  When I try to scale it, it just keeps bouncing back to HUGE.  The photo I had in my phone as the lock screen doesn't work now, and every photo I try comes out gigantic.
    Can someone help with that??
    Thanks

A lot of people are having this problem. I chatted with a developer earlier tonight and she said that it's been present ever since the 5th Beta version of iOS 7, which is absolutely amazing that no one either reported it or that Apple didn't care to fix it.

  • Turn off Group Message To: in Notification/Lock Screen iOS 8.3?

Updated to iOS 8.3 and now when group messages come in on my lock screen and notification center it shows all recipients of the message before the message, for example "To: John, Sarah, Ron hi how's it going?"
This is really annoying and hard to read, every time I read it I think the "To: John, Sarah, Ron..." is part of the message. Any way to turn this off?

Actually it doesn't fix my issue.  Apple still has added a line to the text.  After giving the group a name it now just says the group name instead of To:  ....
What I believe we are wanting, at least I am, is to have the second line of the notification be the text of the message, not who is in the group.  It should look similar to if it were an individual.
I still think Apple could have an option to turn it off.  It can't be that hard to add.

  • Email alerts not displaying in notification center on lock screen (iOS 7)

    Hi,
I am having issues receiving email alerts in the Notification Center when accessed from the lock screen.  I don't want to see the alert directly on the lock screen, only in the notification center.  Here are my settings:
So basically, the Notification Center is allowed on the lock screen, but the alert itself will not be displayed on the lock screen.  However, when I get a new email, it does not display an alert.  If I unlock the phone, and check the Notification Center, the alert is there.  If I turn the "Show on Lock Screen" setting on, then I do in fact get the alert both on the lock screen and the notification center.  What is really weird is that if I check the Notificaiton Center from the lock screen (where nothing is displayed), and then unlock the phone the alert is no longer in the Notification Center, as if I had already accessed it.
What is also strange is that these exact settings work perfectly fine for texts and fairly consistently for my personal email.  However, it has never worked for my work (Exchange) email.  In both cases I am using Push.
Is anyone else able to replicate this issue, or do you have a solution?
    Thanks,
    Aaron

Still an issue for me in 7.1

  • Stuck music controls in lock screen iOS 8.1.3

For some reason I have yet to analyze, my music controls display on my lock screen when there is no music or video app playing.  The controls are suck in "play" mode with the pause button visible but tapping it has no effect.  The clock and date do not display and I can only seem to rest the unit by performing a hard restart.
I am running a Verizon 64Gb iPhone 6+ and may take a wild guess that it has something to do with the YouTube app.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds). No data will be lost.
