No way to save Audio Track Mixer or Audio Plugin Settings?!

Am I stupid, or is there really no way to save my Audio Track Mixer setup, NOR a way to create my own presets for Audio Track Effects???
I spent a lot of time setting up the Track Mixer, with submix tracks, lots of effects on different tracks, etc.
The ONLY way I've found to use this setup again is to duplicate the sequence. Which is a PITA when it's a new project, and I have to dig it up from an old project with the (annoyingly slow) Media Browser ... or create a "template" project.
And what about settings for plugins??? Like the "Mastering" plugin ... the built in presets are pretty useless ... is there no way to copy the settings from one sequence to another? Or create my own presets?

Am I stupid?
Heavens, no.

Nope.
I do what you do... duplicate Sequences.

  • Unable to perform multi audio tracks mixing with Audio Mixer

How do you get a simple multi track mix with the Premier Pro 1.5 Audio Mixer?
I got 2 audio clips, each sitting at the start of its own separate track (Audio 1 and Audio 2). I just want to mix them into the Master track.  Simple enough.
So I go to the Audio Mixer. Position the CTI at the start of the tracks and hit the red RECORD button. The red spot starts blinking. Then I hit the START/STOP button expecting the tracks to start mixing into the Master track. Instead, I get this error message
"PLAYER ERROR: You cannot record without enabling at least one track for recording."
I get the same problem if I try the mix onto a submix track.
What am I missing? I combed through the Premiere Pro User Guide and J. Rosenberg's Premiere Pro Studio Techniques but to no avail.
    Thanks for any help.
    JB.

Jacques, I havn't seen 1.5 for a while, so I need to stress that what I'm about to say is more of an educated guess linked to a rough memory.
Each audio track in the mixer has a small chip (tickbox in 1.5??) that you click in order to enable that track for recording. In CS3 it's a little microphone.
Having said that, I DON'T think that's going to give you what you want, as the intention of the recording functionality in PP is to record audio FROM AN EXTERNAL SOURCE (like a microphone) straight to an audio track, say, when doing a Voice Over for some video.
You can't "mix down" to the master, as the master is not a track per se. It's just a "final" level control. The master will always be the sum of the active tracks, and THAT'S what will be rendered in the final output.
You can still "live mix" your audio with the faders, it's just that those movements get recorded as keyframes on each of the tracks you modify (including, BTW, the Master).
The advantage to this workflow is that every fader move you make is infinitley editable... a small error when riding the faders can easily be fixed by dragging keyframes.

  • Change Order in Audio Track Mixer

    Adobe Premiere Pro CC2014
    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1
How do you change the effect order in the Audio Track Mixer?
Drag and Drop does not appear to work.
    Thanks in advance.

Ok folks, I guess you can disregard my post... On a whim, I tried using the Built In microphone and Output, and it worked, though the sound is deplorable.  Though it identified the Sennheiser USB mic, it appears that must be the problem... odd, since that mic works fine in iMovie, and other applications.  Maybe I'll experiment, perhaps it doesn't like the USB extension, and I should plug the Sennheiser directly into the computer.
The Automate to Sequence seems to now be assigning the correct still duration, at least with the small sample of about 6 stills, done in experiment.  Will try a larger sequence, shortly, with over a hundred stills, see what happens...
To any members who were working on my problem, thank you.

  • Am I being stoopid - changing multiple sends in Audio/Track MIxer

    Hi
I can set the send bus in multiple tracks by shift clicking and doing it in one channel strip. According to the manual I should also be able to set the send level, pan etc for all selected channel strips simultaneously. When I try this it doesnt work - is there any reason?
    best
    Tommy Banana

You are right that is what it seems to do. But the manual says:
Audio Objects in the Audio and Track Mixer
Audio Objects are the building blocks of the Audio Mixer, and an important part of the
Track Mixer. In the following section, you will learn about the differences between
Audio Object types and how you can use them.
    Multiple Selection of Audio Objects
Logic allows multiple Audio Object faders to be selected (by Shift-clicking) in the Track
Mixer and Audio Mixer. The class (Instrument, Audio, Bus, Aux, and so on) of the
    channel doesn’t matter.
To deselect multiple channels, click on any unselected channel. You can also select a
previously unselected track in the Arrange window.
Once selected, all channels behave as a temporary “group”, allowing you to quickly
adjust a number of settings on all selected faders by performing an operation on one
of the grouped faders. To adjust the listed parameters on all selected channels, follow
    these instructions:
    • Volume: Simply drag the Volume slider on any selected channel. All volume changes
    are relative and logarithmic.
    • Pan: Drag the Pan knob on any selected channel. All pan changes are relative.
    • Mute: Click the Mute button on any selected channel. The Mute buttons of all
selected channels will switch to the new mode.
    • Solo: Click the Solo button on any selected channel. The Solo buttons of all selected
channels will switch to the new mode.
    • Record Enable: Click the Record enable button on any selected channel. The Record
Enable buttons of all selected channels will switch to the new mode (note that only
channels with different input sources can be record enabled simultaneously).
    • Send Level: Drag the Send level knob on any selected channel. All Send level knobs
of the corresponding Send slots change accordingly (relative changes).
    • Send Destination: Click-hold on any of the selected channel’s Send slot(s), and make
your selection from the list. The corresponding Send slots of all selected channels will
be routed to the chosen destination.
    • Inserts: Click-hold on any of the selected channel’s Insert slot(s), and make your
selection from the list. The selected effect will be inserted into the corresponding
Insert slot on all selected channels.
This I can't do - without using groups.

  • Audio Tracks "Mixed-up"

Here's a new one for me. Using FCP 5.0.2 and Tiger 10.4.2.
I edit an hour long program using two cameras and their respective audio so I have 4 audio tracks. After tweaking and equalizing the audio I render the whole timeline. When I play the timeline back, one of the audio tracks is playing audio from a different part of the timeline even though the timecode matches. This has happened twice on this project. Never happened before.
It's easy enough to fix, I control click on the offending audio clip and choose reconnect media but then I have to render again. Anyone know what is causing this to happen?
    Thanks,
    Joe Goldsberry
    Media Concepts

    1. delete audio renders and re-render
    2. trash FCP preferences
    3. run basic system maint - permissions/ verify disk, diskwarrior, etc (probably not your problem but doesn't hurt at all)
    4. make sure your project is on a second hard drive
    5. make sure your second hard drive has enough free space
    6. make sure your system hard drive has enough free space
    7. open a new project and copy your sequences into it
    8. create new user account and open your project from it. If it works, some user preference is likely screwy.

  • Why do my EMPTY audio tracks playback ANOTHER audio track?

Why do my EMPTY audio tracks playback ANOTHER audio track?
Example: A vocal track (audio 2) being played through an empty guitar track (audio 1).
The vocal track is magically being played through the guitar track with distortion. WHAT possible feature is this good for and how do I get rid of this annoying problem? I looked at the reassign tracks menu and it doesn't say its connected or anything... I don't know if this has been addressed before on this site but I can't find the answer any where on Apple Discussion's website. Please help.
    Thanks

A key concept to understand is that Logic is more flexible when it comes to "tracks" than most other DAWs.
For instance, most DAW use a fixed "one arrange track is one audio channel" approach.
Logic doesn't. You can have many arrange tracks all assigned to the same audio mixer channel (although only one will sound at a time).
You probably have two arrange tracks assigned to the same audio object (key command "New arrange track with same object") rather than creating a new arrange track together with a new independent audio channel (key command "New arrange track with next object").
Try this. Hit the + button at the top of the track list, and create a new audio track. This creates a new arrange track and assigns it to the next available audio object.
Move your second region to this new track - does that work as you expect now?

  • Copy and Paste audio track MIX from one track to another??

    Hi
What's the best way to handle this.
I have a video with one long music track, that I mixed using Adobe Premiere's Audio Mixer.
The musician made a new version of the track with some very slight modifications in the music.
Rather than having to remix the entire new track, I would prefer to either:
    1) Copy and paste the attributes of the orginal audio track onto the new music track -- retaining the Mix I did from the original mix.  Is this possible?  I tried it once and it did not seem to work.  (I used the Mixer, not keyframes, to do all of the mix.)
    or
    2)  Is there a setting in Premiere's Audio mixer to "gang" the new track to the old one -- with the new track cloning the old track's mix.
Or would it be better to bring the two audio tracks into Soundbooth and do it there?
    Thanks,
    ...Rowby

    Thanks Colin
I did a complicated mix on one long background music track and was not looking forward to doing that remix because of various minor music changes made by the musician scattered throughout that long track.
Your Alt (for replace solution) worked perfectly and saved me a ton of time.
The fact that Copy attributes for Audio doesn't work for copying audio keyframes is another reason do do audio mixes using the Mixer instead of using keyframes to adjust volume.
    ...Rowby
P.S.   And a big LIKE to Adobe's clever programmers for including features like these.

  • Adjusting multiple mono audio tracks with the Audio Mixer

Anybody know how to adjust multiple mono audio tracks simultaneously with the audio mixer? If your tracks are stereo, one fader will control two faders or audio tracks. Suppose you have 6 mono audio tracks and don't want to pull down each fader separately. Is there a way to pull down one fader and have the others locked to it, or controlled by it?

Not with the sliders, but you can adjust levels with ctrl [ and ctrl ] (I think, not at fcp right now).
The autoselect buttons (to the right of the lock icons, at the head of the timeline) tell fcp which track to adjust...

  • Timeline with one audio track - timeline two audio tracks

A colleague of mine did a pre edit for me. Somehow the second audio track in the whole sequence disapeared.
Is there a quick way to get the second audio track back?

Go to the auto save vault and start wandering back in time till you find where it disappeared?
Somewhat unclear as to what you are asking.
    Do you mean:
    the original file has disappeared
    or
the reference to it on the timeline disappeared
    or
    the file is offline ?

  • Audio tracks playing different audio tracks - routing issue?

I'm having trouble with some routing issues I believe. Here's the deal:
Some audio tracks are playing different audio tracks, when that region is not even in it. For instance:
Track #2 is Soloed. Output is Output 1-2. I hear the audio file that is in Track #1, which is NOT Soloed and I shouldn't even hear. I don't hear anything from Track #2. The only way I can hear Track #2 is by playing it from the audio bin, which obviously isn't going to work out right.
If I drag the audio region of Track #2 to a brand new audio track, I still don't hear anything. Is it possible this audio file(s) got corrupted somehow?
    Please help!

Check the parameters, in the left side of the arrange page window.
To me, it sounds as if you have a bunch of arrange tracks, which are all playing back through audio track #1.

  • Exporting mono audio tracks as mono audio tracks with video tracks

    hello,
i'm working with dv pal 48 khz digitized files.  when i import the files into fcp7, i have a video track and 4 different mono audio tracks.  my plan is to modify each individual mono track, after exporting each as aif, editing them, and then importing them back as aif.  the problem is that when i've built a sequence with 1 video track and 4 different mono audio tracks, there doesn't seem to be a way to end up with 4 different mono audio tracks like the original, it appears that the only option is to end up with 2 stereo tracks.  can someone help me with this, which i'm sure is a very odd problem?
    kind regards,
    charlie

If you are editing the audio with Soundtrack Pro you can use the "send to" command. It will send your project as a multi-track file so that each track can be editited independently or you can add elements to all four.
If you have Logic, add it to the "external audio editors" list and you can use it in the same way as STP.

  • Record button only available for AUDIO TRACK, not for AUDIO INST.

Hi -- For some reason Logic Express 7.1.1 is only giving me the opportunity to record enable tracks that are AUDIO TRACKS. All of my other tracks (mainly software synths) using the AUDIO INSTRUMENTS don't have the ability to record.
I opened previous files where I'd recorded on these tracks, but even on older files, the option still is not there.
    Any thoughts?
As for setup, I just have an MAudio keystaton attached via USB, and it's playing the software instruments fine. Also, I sometimes have an MBox hooked up (although not right now.) I updated this recently for TIGER, and I didn't know if this messed it up.
    Powerbook G4, 1.5 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

don't know if on Logic express there's the key command 'Capture Last Take as Recording'.
If yes, during playback you can play anything you like on your keyboard and by pressing the keys that you have assigned for this key command you can have everything that you played as events on the specific audio instrument as if you were in record mode.
If you move the SPL the new information will delete the previous one.

  • How can I 'join' audio tracks when importing audio book?

    HELP!!
In the latest version of iTunes, 11.0.1, I can't find the 'JOIN Tracks' button which is needed when importing an audio CD to keep each disc treated as one book instead of storing each chapter as a separte entry.  Without this, I can't find a way to keep the chapters to play in proper order as each CD, starts with chapter 01.
    Thank you for your help

    Join CD tracks
When you import songs from a CD into iTunes, you can group songs so they always play together (even when you’re shuffling songs).
Insert an audio CD into your computer’s CD or DVD drive, and click No in the window that appears.
When the songs on the CD appear in the iTunes window, hold down the Shift key to select the ones you want to join.
Click near the top-right of the iTunes window, and choose Join CD Tracks.
